Ive been working on putting this list together for awhile now. Mainly ive just been looking at other people's lists and posts while keeping up with the GW articles and such. A few things came to my mind while doing this tho...

-I've been noticing a drop off in the number of dakka 'fexs and dakka tyrants that people have been gaming with at the store and been putting in their lists online. I know that with the updated rules and all people are moving towards barbed stranglers and death spitters instead of the devourers and venom cannons but is there some other reason im missing not to game with the dakka monsters?

-I was reading an article on the GW website (site) Stared wondering whether units like the GOD 'fex and hyper gaunts actually worked in the game. He used the example of gaunts with devourers and toxin sacs and pointed out how [in]effective typical hormagaunts were at killing things. I was wondering if anyone had any experience, good or bad, using this kinds of units and whether i should keep the streamlined form or kit out the army

-If I dont plan to infiltrate the genestealers do you still consider them effective in swarm tactics or should i swap them out for more hormagaunts? Same thing with Reavers, if im not using the deep strike & infiltrating tactics are they still effective?

-Things like gargoyles and biovores have gotten the rap of being ineffective or not worth the points. Should I still consider using these units?

-With Running and Fleet is it really still worthwhile to give units like Tyrants and Warriors wings or leaping? or is it better to save the points and spend them elsewhere?

Okay sry i got a little wordy... This is my first time playing 'nids so any help would be very much appriciated

if you can avoid getting shot, hormagaunts are only worthwhile (IMO) with WS, S and flesh hooks.

a unit of stealers I often find to be of use.

I'm a big fan of the dakkafex, but the new blast rules do make spitters and stranglers much much mmore attractive.

The ONLY reasons I don't like gargoyles are their lack of flesh hooks and the fact that on flying bases with the new true line of sight, they're very easily very dead.

The only really consistent things with my armies are that i ALWAYS take a tyrant with wings and talons and deep strike it. it's amazing. warriors I like to give +Sv so I tend to avoid wings but if you've tooled it for CC, leaping is good. Only problem there is that while warriors can run and assault 12", they can't do both as they're not fleet.

The other consistent thing is that I take Carnifexes. heavy, leet, anything I can get without hurting my lictor (if taken) and my thropes selection
    "That's all you get."
