Ram Kangaroo Excellent work ,the Canadians use this modified M7 as a troop carrier during operation " Totalize" after Caen. The only mistake is that you use the body of M4 Sherman instead of M-7 , anyway I think it is ok , I have also worked on alpha with this project but I have made my tries on M-7 . Keep on the good work mate

There is a real Kangaroo with that chassis etc, maybe it isn't Canadian but relic do have it right. (not if its the m7 version though)

The Operation Totalize take action by the II Canadian Armor Corp . The canadians had modified the M-7 priest that they had use an the first days of the invasion because they did not need anymore those vehicles as they had replaced the M-7 (priest ) with the 25pdr Cannons. General Simons Head of the II canadian AC transform 76 Priest ,by removing the howitzer gun ,into personnel carried Vehicles .
Make a search and you will find out that these was true. Another issue that made the Kangaroo different than Sherman was that the building of such armor guns based on the main body of M3 Grand/Lee and not at the M4!

He's actually right Geo. Such vehicle as this one from tov existed, the field modification of a priest is a different story.

Indeed, the Kangaroo was also made on the Canadian MkII. RAM tank, but when the M4 Sherman was distributed to Canada, alot of the MkII. RAM Tanks were converted to APC's but taking the turret of the chassis, and add seats instead.


By the way is it just me or are the Normal Tiger threads yellow?

OK you are both correct but the first APC's were used as I discripe before on operation "Totalize" ,after the use modified Grand and Lee !

Wait a minute..... NO remove the flag It is a marker for P-51 or Typhoons , during late of WW2 the germans use cammo patterns , tree parts,grass, etc for camuflge the vehicles, so to add a flag at the top is like you said ,HERE I'M . Only the allies put the star in the top for recognition from friendly air units as the were majority at Normandy

Very, very nice skins. I´d actually like to see more of these "grey tank/ red flag" combinations. Great!

And georider, sorry, I have to contradict. You and some others have already created many awesome camo pattern models.

But this forum is sunk in camo-pattern models (soldiers and vehicles)...Slayer has brought out some early years tank models thus providing some variety and selection.

Realism is necessary, but I think it is the right direction to offer a broader "range of models" so that anyone can decide "What do I actually want to use or build in".

Again - stay on the ball slayerknecht...more of these nice creations!

The Sherman decals are OK but the M-8 M-3 are not so correct. I had also released some allied armor skins for 2nd armor Free French div (Africa's Jaggers) general Le' clerk and I also found some photos of such vehicles with different decals. Although very nice effort .

Nice update, just curious but is there a reason the MG's on the vehicles are gone? Did you skin them out?

The MGs are added/removed via the abp, but these abps aren't contained.

I did that, when I tried to create a french faction mod and the vehicles should't look to alike the US ones. But it was too much work and too complicated for me, so I quit.

The stormtrooper marsh cammo is very good if you want to approach the Grenadier from Kampfgroupe Von Look troops in Normandy , Personal I prefer the Tankbuster model for such approach . As for Grenadier Lehr is very good and very accurate but since I have involve with this skin I recommend you to mix the Tiger crew Pionner ( this is important because with alpha you do not have the backpack left overs ) with the Tankbuster gear and ammo puts ( as I have done) , But your approach with the falshrim mp40 is also a very nice combination.
General very good skins mate , a very good approach for those who like to use these units for heer faction. Keep on

While pretty much all axis infantry and vehicles have been done to death by other skinners, i'd love to see your approach to the US and Commonwealth stuff, particulary the Commonwealth vehicles, as most skinners so far have only done these in olive drab green.

@Geo: Yeah I've seen your Von Luck Tankbuster and thought, that I had to give it a try, it was so to say my inspiration. On the free french I'm no longer working, as this mod idea has died.

@LD: I personally have no need for vehicles as I use and love GnigruHs. But let's see what the future will bring.

@Lethal Dosage The allies used olive drab green in Normandy by 90% and the cammo ones was based on this color using some black or some mud for cammo so this theme is kind of limited on such attempts

Yes, you need to add the G43 line to the abp file. The original is missing it.

I'm using these as my Panzer Elite grenadiers, so you would add this line to the pgrenadier.abp file:

"..\\..\\Axis\\Soldiers\\Weapons\\G43 Sniper Rifle",

Just overwrite your previous abp file.

You can open it using Corsix mod studio, or you can even open it with Notepad.

Just be careful to format the line the same way you see the other lines for weapons.
