German and English speech file modification for TOV (v2.602 compatible)

UPDATE: Files work fine, again it has to be mentioned though, if you are using any of the new Tales of Valour units these sound packs do not have them unfortunately so you lose the sounds for a few units. Small price to pay IMO for getting authentic sounds for the German forces.

In the first page of this thread, some players report some sounds are low volume or altogether missing, which woud explain the smaller size.

Is the Ingame Text the writing in English cos thats the main problem i dont care about the sounds its just the Writing i want in English and i changed the file once an put =English then i started game and it was all like this "$1600003" so it never helped lol Any ideas? Thanks

Downloaded and installed it yesterday. It worked. Great mod!!!

As I have the German version of the game I simply needed to change the filenames to ...German.sga. Now everyone talks how it should be.

I don't get it how to install. Which one should i overrite, the sound files in engine or in ww2 map? They do not have the same size...

Go to C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\WW2\Archives
there you will find the files with the same name as you downloaded from the #1 post.
replace the org. files (but save a copy - just in case you want org sound later on)
with the one you downloaded
and there you have it.

P.S.
If you want to use German sound only in your mod , do this:
1. make a new folder in C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\YourMod
2. Name it "Archives"
3. Put German files in it (lets say "WW2AxisSpeechEnglish.sga")
4. Open YourMod.module
5 Find this segment

Judging from the first post, you'll need to download the first link if you have the original factions (Allies & Axis), and the second and third links if you have the OF factions (CW & PE). But that's for skirmish, you'll need the other ones in the first post if you want them to speak german in the various campaigns and NIS scenes.

Specifically to BotB, and not the regular game or other mods? It's possible. Download the first 3 links from the first page (which should be WW2AxisSpeechEnglish.sga, OFCoreSpeechEnglish.sga, and OFFullSpeechEnglish.sga), and place them in the mod's Archives folder (Company of Heroes\BotB\archives\). Then open up the BotB module file, scroll down to [data:english:02] and change the below lines;
archive.03 = WW2\Archives\WW2AxisSpeechEnglish
archive.05 = WW2\Archives\OFCoreSpeechEnglish
archive.06 = WW2\Archives\OFFullSpeechEnglish

to;
archive.03 = BotB\Archives\WW2AxisSpeechEnglish
archive.05 = BotB\Archives\OFCoreSpeechEnglish
archive.06 = BotB\Archives\OFFullSpeechEnglish

Once you've done that, scroll down the .module file and edit the same entries for the other languages. Once your done, save the document and play. It should work fine.

I know that old speech files are compatibles, but perhaps there lacking speech from 2.602.

I think you have common files (same name and same size) with my version. Don't need to upload them no ? So the difference will be the german speaking no ? But you have Gold version, not Tales of Valor included ?
