Your Mothership Is No Longer Useless! is a very, very simple tweaking of vanilla HW2 (hence calling it a micromod) which alters the basic weapons on Shipyards, Motherships and Carriers. Because, frankly, for a mothership, the Pride of Hiigara was really, really puny. I haven't given the exact same armaments to Vaygr and Hiigaran production vessels, since this would be boring. Instead I've tried to pick weapon configurations in-keeping with the different races' design aesthetics. It has altered the game balance a bit, but I've tried to steer away from making anything too powerful; just ships strong enough to hold their own. And if used properly, Motherships and Carriers now make very useful offensive units. But just like the queen in chess, you really don't want to loose them...
Anyway, it's just a quick little bit of fun, but it should provide at least a couple of hours of amusement. I won't tell you what any of the new weapon configurations are- figuring that out will be the fun part. Oh, just one more thing; at first, the AI computer doesn't always seem to be getting the hang of the new weapon systems. However, set it to hard and back it into a corner and this changes very quickly...
