MrScruffs "Skins and Models" REWORK OF A MONSTER (06.12.09)

    My Vehicles...

    hello community,

you can use all official released modells/skins in a public-mod.
just one request, please contact me in case of a visual modification (for the modells)

    - no "rigt occlu" - sorry - but if there is anbody out there... please pm me...

    UPDATE V3: ...round barrel/gun - new skin ...have corsix-knowledge!

    Alternate Links
Jagdtiger v2 (model, skin, criticals, icon, symbol, attribs)
Jagdtiger v3 patch (updated model and skin)

There wasn't ever a full Jagdtiger v3 package released by MrScruff (to my knowledge), the v3 package was just the updated model and skin, and didn't include the ui or attribs included in the v2 package, so i've listed the v3 package here as the Jagdtiger v3 patch, to avoid confusion. - LD

The Jagdpanther MrScruff already posted at our German forums . Guess he'll show it here soon, too.

Really nice work on all of them, if Relic wanted to make the PE's vehicles non-camo, this is what it should have looked like. Especially like the Jagdpanther and the StuG.

@MrScruff very good work maybe someone must cammo these ! But the flag is like saying to P-47 and Typhoons "here I'm shoot me" . Excellent add on work.

When I saw the screens I was impressed, after testing the skins I'm not.
Though some aspects of your work are inspiring, I think you expect too much from a nrm. file. It's ok when you want to add some 'flat' details, but it can't do everything and replace the necessary polygons.

You should look for some documentation, now it looks like you're just putting random details, tools and gear to random places.
It leads to many historical inaccuracies (maybe you don't care about that, idk).
For example: yeah the wire side-skirt on a jagdpanther may look great, but it never existed in rl. Those stug side-skirts look weird on a grey (1943) vehicle... and so on.

I also don't like the zimmerit on a jagdpanther. It's too 'big'.

And you have to be careful with the rust, it's ok on the exhaust but spare tracks and skirt plate of a jagdpanther is too much imo. I saw an excavated stug and it was less rusty after lying below ground for 60 years.

I see you have potential, that's why so much criticism from me.

    That´s it -great -

To me these skins are excellent...I´ve tried them in-game...FULL-SCORE...just excellent...go on with this (this grey steel - green plants combo is superb)...and don´t...I repeat: DON´T camo-colour these models. There are already enough camo-tanks and -soldiers in this forum...I like this "early-years" style of yours...so stick to it and give us more...

GnigruH: realism or/and historical accuracy is/are good...but I think that mrscruff´s skin pack will deliver some variety.
So the one or the other deviation (if it is,actually!?) could enrich the existing list of outstanding skin-modifications.

So, in my opinion he shouln´t change to much of his "style"...

nice skins and i like the foliage considering its on a flat object it looks awesome,
granted as is said there is no cammo and the flags in real life would be a big target for a typhoon
but i think that if you if you changed that it would just end up ruining the whole point of these skins
i might use the jp and stug might not, thanks for sharing them

@MrScruff I read this threat carefully and I think @GnigruG is right .You "attack" him with out reason , he just wanted to help . He is one of the best Armor artists in the community , sometimes I don't agree with his point of view for the German armor but I have to admit he makes better allied Armor skins than me, For the Axis I defend my work . Anyway the people of the community are judge which they like or the don't , sometimes I don;t agree with some point of view and then I'm trying to be better next time.
    Final Conclusion about your skins:
    1. The extras are good (bushes , gear, etc)
    2. The flags are out of time , out of order, I have already told you my point of view, and if the flag must be there it must have swastika , from my point of view, but you can not do it and I respect your opinion about the laws etc.
    3. Needs to be more dirty more used ,the look like they are new in battle (just arrived from factory)
    4. I hate the Grey , that's my opinion thought, they used cammo in Normandy and some old units they camouflage them with hasty painting with some color and mud .
I like your work for the extras but I like the cammo ,here is a sample about how good they will be

If you give me the permission to use your nrm and spec files for the extras for these Armors I will release these . If not I'll keep these for myself .
I don't want to change your point of view , you are the author and that's your work.

Yeah - go for it - feel free and use what you like

    and i understand:
but realistic is the last reason to me to make/create a skin - i want to have fun - thats all

and for everybody else: i have o problems with gnigrug!i am to old for this... btw: i like his vehicles very much!

i bet here in this forum are many guys who want nice skins and not 100% real existed skins

this is a game - and all folks

greez scruff - sry for my bad english

  25. #25
Really sorry georider but i have to correct you on the "attack" thing if you reread carefully the posts you can notice that the first going personal is not the ot.
Anyways cmon people its really nothing to argue about, can we just drop it now and come back to our usual activities and just enjoy these beauitiful skins?

    Oh that's purty

I'd love to see that released!

Also, Mr Scruff, I'm loving your skins! The stug and the Pak are brilliant, and I don't care what people say about the historical inaccuracy. It looks good and that's all that matters IMO. The only gripe I have is that on your Jagdpanther, the zimmerit is too large and spaced out, but other thant hat it looks great.

@Furioso you must make such post reply in my threat, I think it is not polite for MrScruff who owns this threat !
@MrScruff from now I 'll post in my threat any modified skins from your nrm and spec files.

These skins were probably created for the Eastern Front mod.

Also, threads are not called 'threats' -- that is the act of speaking of a violent or malicious intention. Threads are called, well, threads.

ok sorry this issue was a fault by mozila speller .

  31. #31
I have to say these skins have potential; have you any thought of doing some 'fictional' US skins?

Hmm.. mine doesn't. Maybe I added it a long time ago. Anyhow, back to topic.
Scruffs, have you done a Marder III? If so, I'd recommend it; they were highly popular on the Eastern Front, and a custom skin the ones you do would look very good, with all the detail and foliage you put in

Man I have to say I love your work! It might not be historically accurate and such, but we already got so many camo skins here, and the feldgrey on your vehicles looks more intimidating. Keep this up! Im loving the feldgrey

  42. #42

    How bout this:
MrScruff, you could make a Tiger with foilage, scruff-style- All your fans are happy, and then Geo could make the camo version, with foilage included

If you have any interest off course

    Eeeeverybody wins!

(Been wanting a tiger with foilage since private ryan. Yeah, it is an obsession)

Beautiful work! I need my camo tanks, but I can easily see the appeal for your work for a more "classic movie" german style. Rock on!

Yes I've test it and I have already camouflage and the combination of extras make the model perfect . It is also perfect with the standard sand color, and I have notice that in some models is better to use it with a light cammo ,or with out but not the grey one!
@MrScruff I have made 1 H-39 ,1 humel using your nrm, spec and one pak 38 with modifying the nrm, spec and the Stug. Soon I will sent you the files and the Links. Thats that you let me use your work , the extras are very good .

  47. #47
great new stuff on the vehicles

woah these skins are top quality. Very nice work.

    Can't wait to see more
Sup! It's kaoS from Electrofish Studios

  49. #49
Wow, very nice. Generally I like the more colorful versions of the camouflaged skins, but the details on yours... simply awesome!
Foliage and gear, but even things like the red/white bars on the back of the hummel, VERY sweet detail. Very nice models.

And thank you for allowing georider to use your work, I will be very curious to see the first results of that combination.
