Nice Motorpool you got going there... is that a Sdkfz 7 Pioneer halftrack i see in the middle?
I was thinking, would be it possible to add additional passenger slots to the Kubelwagen? The driver marker would do unless there is a specific one for a passenger, just so that modders can add a hold_ext to the Kubel to use it as a light transport, and actually be able to have passengers appear when their garrisoned in it.
Hey mcscruff I have a good model of a flak 38 on google sketch up BUT it has like 5000 faces, isnt to scale or anything and the bottom bit is missing but i have it on the newer version but i guees its a good model... can you have a look at it if its good, lol i dont even know if you export google sketchup models but if you can i would be honored if you have it and make it... well, good

@MrScruff: To be honest, I'd rather prefer a Flakvierling on a Halftrack.
Both are most certainly welcome, though.
A mobile 88 though.. That's wickedly imba in coh-style play.
If you give it the stats of a infantry halftrack, it should be fine. I mean, sure it can take out a tank or two, but it will get destroyed by infantry fire.

I love it! Indeed, it would be an awesome replacement for the PE Munitions Halftrack!
Funny you should mention that, I was talking about Jagermeister earlier today. Surely it should have some Medical crosses on it, plus, the guy driving should be drunkto bring "jägermeister"!![]()

Great Work MrScruffs!
Very nice looking halftrack!
Sup! It's kaoS from Electrofish Studios

Very nice halftrack indeed. I might have a couple of uses for a vehicle such as this!
Now if only we could get an Opel Maultier with a Pak40 on its back with an open cab.

Thanks alot indeed! 1 thing about the Sd.Kfz. 11: The skin is looking somewhat "flat", unlike the Jagdtiger.
yeah - i still need to work on nrm.rgt...Originally Posted by Celéstial

Wow, that camo version looks awesome! How about skinning the roadwheels too? Right now they do not really match to the vehicle.
awesome!!! it gonna be a useful vehicle.
#479
I know they were not camoed, but adjusting the colour would be better IMO.
It's because that I do only the upper part when the full mix part released I think that either @scruff or me will provide with more detailed version ,it is just WIP though.Wow, that camo version looks awesome! How about skinning the roadwheels too? Right now they do not really match to the vehicle.
can anyone tell me the pak38 folder structure? i am having problems with that one in particular. thanks

i don't know which i prefer, the field grey or camo version, their equally good. I wonder if rear eschlon support vehicles were still field grey by 1944? I guess it would make sense for some to remain with at least a base coat in field grey since they'd probably have a low loss rate, and thus conversion of finished chassis' to pioneer vehicles would be pretty low too.
Even if a field grey paint job isn't historically correct for France in 1944, it'd still be useful for Eastern front and early war mods.
Interesting, a Sd.Kfz 263 8-rad! Any chance you'll use the chassis to make 231 and 232 8-rads with and without radio beds (maybe as an upgrade)?Originally Posted by MrScruff
Any plans to follow up the Panzer I with a Panzer II? So many variants on the latter that could be made.
You could also make a Panzerjäger I off the Panzer I chassis.
Great work, though! Can't wait to see these all together in game!

The Panzerjäger I, and the Sdkfz 231 through Sdkfz 233 are all early war vehicles, and can be easily made from the models you've just made.

The 6 rad versions are so ugly. *shudder*
Reminds me of the Japanese Type 92.
Edit:
Hey MrScruff, any plans on making the self-propelled anti-aircraft variants of the Sdkfz 7 and 10?
Last edited by eliw00d; 21st Nov 09 at 3:28 PM.
The 6-rad is the early way version of the SdKfz 231, and for the North Africa campaign and the bulk of the Eastern Front campaign they were using the 8-rad version. So for battles in France, Poland, and Czechoslovakia, the 6-rad is perfect.
SdKfz 231 and SdKfz 232 were organized into heavy armoured car platoons (And later on replaced by the SdKfz 234, in recon battalions lucky enough to receive them), that supported the lighter armoured cars on scouting missions.
The SdKfz 233 was an assault gun for supporting the armoured cars, and not actually used for scouting. They followed behind, knocking out whatever the armoured cars had trouble with, or covering their escape.
Panzerjäger I is appropriate for battles in France and early North Africa, and was the first tank-hunter they put together.
All of them look good, keep it up!![]()

Nice smoothing on the Jagdtiger there, and i see it's got a new skin too. The pattern reminds me of a winter pattern that i've seen in a number of period images from the Ardennes.
I see the Kubel and the Armoured command car have come along quite nicely, are you able to release them before the Eastern Front mod makes their release?

maybe we change the skin with widowmakers...

Excellent work . They are very realistic. We must found a way about backed to be used by allied or soviets when they face this BeastAmazing!!!!!
won't the mg42 gunner be very exposed?! also, that bucket looks funny, just a question, why? why add the bucket? those helmets in the side armor look awesome
Anyway this look awesome!!!![]()
That MG42 is strictly for anti-aircraft protection. You would need an incredibly thick gun shield to protect a gunner from fighter-bomber cannon fire. Against infantry only the Hull MG would be safe to use.
#495
It looks awesome indeed! Personally I find the MG42 on the back ugly though.
Any additional details are great. I would have liked to see the 'gun rest' on the front plate added as it's quite a thick big piece so the nrm doesn't quite get it right. Great stuff mate
Edit: I've noticed that the base of the engine exhausts are missing. I'm not sure if they need adding of if you can use the KT ones and they're simply alpha'd out...

hahah That model keeps getting updated, how many tri's is it now Mr. Scruffs?
#500
Nice update. there's so much extra stuff i cen't mention all the stuff i like, i suppose i cans aw i like everything! The bucket is a nice touch, and most armoured vehicles of all sides had buckets, especially US and british vehicles, which you'll notice pratically every vehicle had a carrier for a folding bucket.
I agree the AA MG42 on the back doesn't look quite right, perhaps instead of just a basic pintle you could model a low poly AA tripod? I'm also concerned that the helmets are a little too large for the scale, especially since the hull's deck is at head height.
