Pirates of the Caribbean DVD (as per the cephalopod of the long molecules), a couple books, a rockin' extra-comfy ikea chair from my wife, a twin-digital phone, and other little knickknacks and assorted goodies.

$100 bucks, A calvin and hobbes book (Oh how I love their misadventrues), a visual illusions book (huge book of every imaginable visual or sensory illusion, even how to make yourself feel as if you have two noses), an art philosophy book from my dad the artist, a wireless router (yes!), a university of vermont t-shirt from a proffessor there who said he was NOT advertising the school, chocolates (they are gone already damn it!), the entire 2nd season of Family Guy DVD's in a box set from my wonderful girlfriend and bunch of assorted (surry russo) trinkets.

    Fun fun fun!

I didn't ask for anything, since I couldn't think of anything I wanted or needed.

So my dad got me a personal GPS, which I suppose will come in handy during the summer. Until then I get to have fun wandering the woods and seeing how far away from what highway I am. Wee!

A pair of combat boots, cash from me family back home, (which will suffer with exchange rates), Prince of Persia for PC, some stuff for the PS2, and coupons (CD/video/games store, and cinema).
Giving myself a new monitor (well not really; i ordered it 2 months ago, won't get it till January, so i'll call it an x-mas gift...)
Might get some more stuff I can add to the list once i change the cash into euros (and lose 20% ).

Not too bad a haul really...

motiv-8, you put a lot of '?'s after clothes from Abercrombie and yet not after cologne. I tend to see them under the same type of thing.

Can anyone help me decide what to do with my money (I have a couple hundred). I was thinking of getting an Audigy 2, a new speaker system (What kind should I get?) and a nice big gift for my girlfriend (I was thinking full DVD set of Fawlty Towers show). But is that a good way of spending it? Well at least some suggestions on the speaker system for computer (At least 5.1), and is the Audigy 2 ZS better than the normal Audigy 2 (ignore the platinum fancy stuff, I don't record music or anything).

GBA SP (finally, I can see the pixelated world of Ivalice without a sunlamp), Mario Party 5 (bleh) and a $30 Gamestop gift card (just as well -- I only really have time for GBA games anyway). A new pillow (with the tempur-pedic NASA foam), a leather jacket for some random university (sent by one of my long-lost aunts), cologne, aftershave, shampoo etc. Darwin Awards 3, among other books.

One of my friends knew I liked jazz and R&B -- so he apparently...procured...20 songs of those genres and made a CDR, which turned out to be one of my favorite presents. He also gave me a large styrofoam block, that bastard.

    I live in Beer.
I got a silk scarf, to go with my flying jacket.

I got a cafetière to replace the one my flatmate broke.

I got Time Out by the Dave Brubeck Quartet, and the DVD of Once Upon A Time In America.

I got several books, including an Umberto Eco I haven't read and some Philip K. Dick short stories.

I got Amaretti and Cantuccini from relatives in Italy, and clotted cream fudge from relatives in Devon.

I got a soldering iron and a set of drill bits for metal.

All in all, a pretty good Christmas, materialism-wise.

Easily the DVD of the year, bar the LOTR one which, considering the source material, had a bit of a head start. Great film too.

The biggest was probabally a $500-dollar stock portfolio from my grandparents, to help pay for college. I also got Homeworld 2, Sim City 4, a Fountains of Wayne CD, a G Love & Special Sauce CD, A dictionary, a dictionary of quotations, some gift cards to Best Buy, and possibly more (I haven't unrapped all my presents yet- don't ask, wierd family tradition).

I thought it was pretty good this year. I'm gonna have to go spend some of that gift cash to buy Investing for Dummies, I'm-a thinkin'.
