I mean i have your pipeline but the my TOV don't have pipeline.ini!!

  2. #52
@toiletguy try coping the pipeline in the coh directory, maybe the TOV don't use it but the OE need this, so just paste it.

  3. #53
If i use VCoH. Can i use OE? So there Vcoh have a pipeline.

i don't think my COH had a pipeline (OF not TOV), you have to copy it over from the rar file like tankdestroyer said

For goodness sake you copy the pipeline.ini that was in the installer because it is TOV Compatible! Copy it into your coh directory!

Hell paste it in every folder in your computer it's like only 1kb... I'm just saying toiletguy, why not try it and find which folder you need to put it in. No one can tell you where to put it because we don't know your computers directories. So just put in your coh and tov, and see what happens

Umm... What exactly is the problem? Have you properly exported the model with 3D max 7 or 8? Is rotating the propellors on the plane a problem in 3D max or OE. If it's OE I suggest you wait a couple days for my docummentation and tutorial.

  10. #60
    hey

    sry, it is 4d cinemax.

Well one thing 4d cinemax is not supported by the CoH Engine, only 3D Max 7 or 8. However if you can extract it and give it somebody else for you to use that would probebly work out fine. One thing, the propellors in CoH are dealt with FX so there is no need to waste time modelling and animating a propellor, just add a point with 3D Max in the center of the propellor, and you can set it up with OE.

And by rotating it, you mean you can't rotate it in 4D cinemax? If so, then you are asking in the wrong place, maybe some basic 4D cinemax tutorials could help you?

but we havent 3d max so i'll try to find one out for this...

having some issues getting this to start up =/ i had to move my pipeline.ini into the same folder as the OE.exe in order to get past the sync error, then, once past that it gives me the error:

filepath does not exist: 'D:\program files\thq\company of heroes\Tools\ToolsData'

in the console, when it clearly does. any ideas? i got further than this when i set it up myself manually, but that was such a pain

I have heard that people are getting problems with my installer when using a different location other than C: although it really should not be a problem. Anyway, you mentioned that you had to customly move the pipeline.ini Does this mean you installed the OE in the right place? Also Tools Data is poiting to the tools used in conjunction with OE. So this is the Burner Tools. I suggest you uninstall OE and re-install it after installing my mod tools installer. This has been tested and prooved to fix a screwed/broken setup but don't forget to backup work just in case!

CoH modding setup is what it is called.

  17. #67
alright, that got it to open, but now it's saying that i need to sync everytime i try to open an rgo (a relic one mind you), even though my preforce is set up (i used the guide on corsix's website since your one didn't work for me)

EDIT, my B, i meant its not part of any known projects

I'm a bit confused as to why my one didn't work for you anyway, did you properly setup the installer and save the temp.txt file with the Root location. Then did you modify your pipeline.ini to the proper ip and port? If that is all correctly setup you should be fine.

However I know for a fact that you make get errors with the Community OE if your tools are not properly setup. The way to confirm this is just to use my CoH modding Setup installer.

If all fails then use my video tutorials and manually set it up. Because I have personally tested my video tutorial 3 times on different machines and it works 100%

  19. #69
hmm, i did have some issues with it automaticlly installing to 'program files (x86)' as opposed to just 'program files', but this is as far as i got installing it manually aswell.

what is the temp.txt you are talking about? is that the thing you get when you type 'p4 client' into cmd? in which case i have done that. that just needs to be your company of heroes directory, right? nothing else, not a mod folder or something

    Hi Blademastercr,

When i try to Install the OE to D:/ it give the error C;/Documents not found and rolls back the installation process .

I have my COH in D , Is there a way to fix it .

When i try to run the exe as admin , "It gives the error not enough space in folder:AppDataFolder \Darkbladecr\Object Editor\Install free space and retry .."

Finally Have istalled it , I tried again and it asked for Repair , I repaired it , and installed OE .

    Regards
    Rishad

the instructions should mention somewhere that model files have to be opened from your pipeline designated mod folder within the datageneric folder.

Sorry about making it difficult for new time modders but just like mods to work with the burner you need to seperately set it up for every mod. On that note you can just use one mod for testing and getting this done and then move the finished things to your proper mod without the need to fiddle with any files.

That is my current setup and it works fine.

  24. #74
mkay, one last problem before i'll leave you alone blade master =P

when i try and load up a model, the console gives me this error:
    http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/6852/43260938.jpg
something todo with the model rendering, but how to fix it is beyond me
thanks again for all the help

rom what I can see you don't have the unburnt *.rgm or *.rga

  26. #76
oh right, i was just using the relic model files (.rgm, rgo etc...), would that be the issue? is there something i need todo to them to get them to work in OE, or can i only use custom models?

I created a default *.rgm that you can use for opening unburnt Relic *.rgo's. (you need to use the exported *.rga as well) The files are here: http://www.mediafire.com/?wmjlgzjyzqa
And the instructions are here: http://forums.relicnews.com/showpost...2&postcount=36

Your pipeline is not fine... delete all the text in your pipeline.ini and use this:

    code

I assume you have properly followed the instructions and installed perforce after OE.

When installing Perforce did you leave everything as default? Did you leave the port as 1666 ?

Did you install my CoH Modding Setup prior to this? Did you install both that and this installer in your CoH root location?

Is your CoH the steam version?

This proves you have not installed it in your CoH root. You have to uninstall it and re-install in the CoH root. Then you will not have a pipeline.ini error.

turns out you can use exported .rga from the game so all you need is the custom .rgm

hmm I don't understand the problem, did you use the unburnt .rgo and the .rgm that I posted in the previous post which both share the same name?

I don't understand why you have that problem. Your only solution is to do a manual install: http://www.moddb.com/mods/company-of...torial-batch-1

I tried to install OE, but i didn't get it to work.. but now my worldbuilder doesn't work anymore! Apparently i messed up my pipeline, but when i try to fix it with pipeliner.exe.. this message keeps popping up in ''system thing" ( the MS-Dos style )

''Cannot do default.burn check, as Bia's Datageneric is missing''

I think I'll let OE be as it is, and focus on getting worldbuilder back up and running'
so can anyone help me out here?? i would really appreciate it because my first map is nearly finished ..

    thnx

By fixing your Worldbuilder problems your OE will work. Just so you know....

The pipeline.ini needs to be fixed, I think I added one example in the HOW-TO FAQ just change the First_Mod to the name of the mod you are using.

As for the _default.burn files you need to set those up manually. With the OE install if you installed it correctly in your CoH root then it should have the mod: First_Mod properly setup so copy the .burn file from the First_Mod in DataGeneric into your mod's one and replace all the First_Mod names with your own ones.

Documentation on what to do is here: http://www.corsix.org/tools_docs/pipeline.html

looks like I fixed it partly :P.... now it gives me an error-message when i try my worldbuilder : "Revision Control", and then the path of my map location.
I can only press "open for view" and cancel.. but when i try "open for view" it crashes..

As a living modding-encyclopedia, I'm confident you can help me, lol

you need to install perforce and set it up. Its in the Community Object Editor Finalization folder on your desktop. All the install instructions are in the folder and the readme.

i looked at my warning log of my worldbuilder, it needed some new paths.
    After i made'em , worldbuilder worked a a charm, once again!

But i appreciate all the help, thx DB
