I need a mapper/s to "enhance" the <<EaW: d-day>> map playable area, I would like to make a stamp and beat it in a map more bandwidth, as for example "Utah Beach" of jointops.

My friends and I, we played your mod for almost every day for the last couple of days. We think we found a little bug here.
Here is what we have observed:
As soon the Germans start to use the FA223 Drache Airstrike, then the game crashes shortly after we shoot them down.
When you kill the Helicopter, it starts to circle in place and doesn't fall on the ground or anything. It just stays in the air.
I couldn't find anyone else having this Problem on the Forum yet, but it happened to us a lot.
We would be really happy if you could provide some help, because we like to play your mod even more.

Can I just say that sandbags on the Shermans didn't help, they were pretty ineffective and if the shell penetrated molten sand would of got in and burnt the crew from the shell heating the sand. They were not very practical for the fact they didn't really protect the Sherman and just weighted it now.

a sandbag couldnt stop an at round but it could stop and HEAT round or atleast make it weaker. thats why modern tanks good some sand in their armour.
the HEAT warhead is molten metall that forms a thorn to penetrate armour and the sand make it harder to form the thorn.Also the sandbags would lower the chance of small arms ricochet and hurting soldiers nearby
They tested sandbags with Panzerfausts and on the frontal armour the sandbags were blown off but not penetrated however on side it penetrated and blew the sandbags off. Plus there is the obvious thing that if a HE shell was fired the sandbags would sort of blow up and blind the crew for a few seconds as well as the enemy seeing a cloud of sand. Patton actually banned sandbag use on Shermans in favour of putting extra armour on from Allied and Axis tanks in the Battle of the Bulge. They weren't as practical as thought.

ok so i can get custom maps that are sga files to work with this mod if i put them in the my documents/my games/eaw/scenarios folder. But what about maps that are not sga files....this have to go into the coh directory and will not show up with the mod...I've tried with both -dev -mod without any luck. Is there anyway to get this mod to work with maps that are not sga file?

Hi Darthborne, you've done a great mod, even if the game balance is much modified. The specificity of each country is gone, as all can have paratroopers for example, but it is good to change the gameplay sometimes. Despite of all there is a big problem with game stability. I have played 3 games with friends and at each game one of us has crashed. It seems to be like a random crash, the first time it was when firing with a priest, the second while doing the tank commander on a tank ( can't remember which tank ) and the third while doing a mass bombing with luftwaffe. For now we won't continue playing that mod because it is too boring not to be able to finish a game but i hope you will find the stability problems. We don't think it can be a computer configuration problem as we have never crashed in vanilla game. We play with gold version in 2.601, with windows 7 x64. All our computers have between 4 and 6 Go RAM and good GC.
I send you a PM with my warning log, maybe it can help you for a future update. As i'm french i have translated the file in locale french, i send it too.
The stability of the mod is only RAM problem, I haven't problems with 2.601 version, but the mod requires many more resources to work correctly, something similar happens with N44.

It's true that a random crash like we have seems to be a RAM problem, but i have 6 Go of RAM, my GC is a bit older ( 8800 GTS ) but no problem with other games and with vanilla game i play with all parameters at maximum without any problem. Is your mod really so greedy ?
We must test with low settings, and test other mods to see of the problem is the same.

I have tried a few single player games. All have crashed and during the game only 3.8 Gb of 6 Gb of RAM are used, and Pao0666 says he plays with 4 Gb. Can it be my GC ( 8800 GTS 320 Mb ) ?
I have never crashed with vanilla game.

5.1.1 => no problem, no crash
5.1.2 => more crash, no special using just crashing after 1/5/12/28 min of game.
I've returned to 5.1.1 version for this time.

No problem with others big mods.
I have tried some other mods to see if my computer is a bit too old or not. 0 crashes with blitzkrieg on about 15 games. And 100% crash with Eastern Front on about 5 tries.
Blitzkrieg uses much power to play but never crashes. Vanilla & Blitzkrieg, : no crashes, Europe at war & Eastern Front : 100% crash, so don't know what to think.
Yea Gentlemen, I would have to agree with the general consensus here, the latest patch crashes every game. I also can play NHC, EF, Combiner, & BK (although some maps just wont load) and no problems, so there must be a flaw or a "fly in the ointment" somewhere. The game starts and plays fine for awhile then bang....freezes

@mikeldj : Version 5.1.1 works with CoH 2.602. Not sure for version 5.1.2 of the mod.
I play BoTB, Blitzkrieg, and my own mod mostly, and I find I particularly enjoy the AI with your mod. It is nice an agressive and always builds full bases. Thank you very much for the added value and enjoyment to my hands-down favorite computer game of all time. Relic owes all of you guys/gals. I recommend working on a hold-ground button to keep AI in place.
Heres a stupid question but how do i get the mod to launch?
For me it keeps crashing when i play as axis il get half way though and it will crash and ive had far larger scale battle than the times its crashed
(also have considered making trees,bushes tank wrecks garisonable and could "boys at rifles" be added to supply trucks?)

first off, I like to say I love this mod, had it working and loved it, but now it no longer works, whenever I try to load a game, it goes halfway through loading and then an error pops up (unknown error, send to relic? - something like this) anyway to fix this? I have removed all the Europe at War files but it still doesnt work.
edit: nvm, it works now it appears I had to turn my graphics to high instead of insane.
