Hmm totally true Freewar yea maybe its better this wayI didn't add too much details for the sake of performance and I don't think that you'll notice this when it's moving and throwing it's load on your Sherman.
but still some people are gona take screenshots and than maybe its better to look like the p47 ( with more details )
pojarsma any chance you'll model this? http://ww2drawings.jexiste.fr/Files/...dCars/M-39.htm

Imho it doesn't even have a normal map, so I'm quite sure it'll have an COH typical amount of Detail.
Bring it onSuggestions? - I could give you a listno sherman versions as @130th pnz already have done some really nice ones.

@pojarsma: you could use the M8 Greyhound's wheels for it...
@pojarsma: you could use the M8 Greyhound's wheels for it...didn't think about it, unfortunatley it's only side blueprint...
Well if you put it like that....Bring it on no sherman versions as @130th pnz already have done some really nice ones.

I vote on halftrack variation, the sdkf 10 with aa gun is difficult , perhaps a blitz with the ostwind gun will be better , but if we started the wishing list it will never ends![]()
Actually the M15 CGMC (Combination Gun Motor Carriage) has a 37mm and twin .50cal guns. It's awesome that you're making one, as they were paired up with M16 MGMC half-tracks (The one in CoH) to form Automatic Weapons Sections in the anti-aircraft artillery platoons. Seeing M16 MGMCs on their own was not a common sight.
The M3 half-track you have there is an M3A1 75mm GMC. At first they were used by the Tank Destroyer Battalions, but as the M10 arrived they were given to the Infantry Regiments for use in their Cannon Platoons (And these were eventually replaced by towed M3 105mm guns, and the M3A1's were phased out). The most common use of that vehicle from D-Day onwards was in the Heavy Platoon of a British Armoured Car Squadron. They paired up 2 of them along with a Daimler Dingo for the platoon commander, for providing fire support for the armoured car platoons.
By the way, Centaur AA tanks didn't see combat. They were all withdrawn, and only the Crusader AA tanks were used in Normandy (And even they were eventually withdrawn after awhile, as the Luftwaffe wasn't seen as a threat anymore) to protect the Armoured Regiments.
How do you mean?it have 3 wheels so no hope for mixing.

Of course that's in addition to the :

Stuart M8
you already have listed (which would all see their way into my mod immediately)

Good to see the Comet model coming along, and i'm glad Freewar's Ju-87 is getting some attention.
I too was looking forward to the Sdkfz251/9 getting ingame, but i don't know how you'd go about adding the visible crew in.
I personally would also like to see a Sdkfz 7 (or Sdkfz 9 or Sdkfz 10) with a 20mm Flak30 or Flak38 mounted. As for specifically which chassis, i'd say it'd be best to use the one sharing the Sdkfz251/1's running gear, i just can't remember which vehicle that was.
130th Panzer made one in Sketch-Up, though he needs help with getting it exported and finished in the OE.Originally Posted by sweeten2213
For the SdKfz 251/9 you can place a tarp over the top, which will hide the gun crew.Originally Posted by Lethal Dosage
The SdKfz 251 was an armoured version of the SdKfz 11. But I've never seen an SdKfz 11 that mounted a FlaK38, they were almost always used for towing guns.

Yeah i made one and its still waiting to get ingame.130th Panzer made one in Sketch-Up, though he needs help with getting it exported and finished in the OE.![]()
Pojarsma do you fot those models from Coh? if thats true could you export the Halftrack ( Axis ) because id like to modify that one
Great work, everything is looking nice and very nice to see new models coming into the mods now.
I was wondering if the panzer2 and 3 were thought about. There were plenty of them early on in the war. Also the PAk and AT guns, making distinguishable models of them for them for all the different bores?
Do you know how long I have wanted a JPIV skin? This is great.
Only one question though since I haven't tried it, does it include an L/70 variant skin (has an extra big ass turret basically)?
I think if you made it like how I read you did the skirts but as a gun upgrade like how the puma has 50mm cannon upgrade that would be awesome!

Could you make a Sd.Kfz. 251/22? I would love to see such a vehicle ingame.
This has already been suggested and Scruff made that one so I will not make it.Could you make a Sd.Kfz. 251/22? I would love to see such a vehicle ingame.

Now that's very sweet and accurate! great stuff! Can you add spare wheels at the/track links at the front?
#226
well I think it's hard to model bushes but maybe we could make some mix between a WB bush and the tank.
Sorry, what I meant the track links on the nose front and top lol. Not the bushes
Proberly final model.
Tracks down at front unfortunately don't look good.
It have 619 faces if anyone is wondering.

you should make those pieces in other direction.

I watched the Brummbar model closely and I think you didn't get the proportions right. Look at the pictures on the rightand you'll see the difference, especially on the frontal plate.plans
Since my latest work on a custom 3d model for EF I have discovered that the most important part of the model is the UV map. The best way, even though I don't have exclusive knowledge on it , is that The UV must have many areas intact . Perhaps my English doesn't help you to understand my thoughts I'll try to explain it.
1,2,3,4,5 parts intact , then tracks then rest of the parts. Maybe I'm wrong about it but these is an old technique I use to use on RTW models.
also it is better for the 3d model maker to include different colors in UVmap to help the 2d skin maker.
As I said , these conclusions may be wrong ,and I'm willing to listen any thoughts .
Thanks again, Awesome work on these 3d projects. Also a small question about jagdpanzer IV , any news about side shields?

The 2nd page on the topic about 1/3 down the page there was side skirts jagdpanzer IV, so I think it is included in the download link, as long as that is what you mean with "side shields".

Anyway, it's just a toy, don't rely on a plastic models pictures too much cos' the kits are often flawed.
To make a really accurate model you need something more than a few random photos.
And the plans I posted are the most accurate thing I could find.
#243
The models are not flawed (hehe, I got to defend my profession), but as you can see on pojarsma's picture, the metal thing sticking out is an welded thing, which does not belong to the original design, but was probably added by the "crew" in the field, so they could climb easier on the superstructure, or for the attachement of the Armour Skirts. If you remove that part with your mind it is like the blueprints GnigruG gave.
Sweet! Was waiting for that to...try some stuff out![]()

BTW, that little bump to the side of the gun mantlet is the cover for the machine-gun port. Any plans on having it open so that an MG34 can stick out of it? I believe it flipped either upwards, or to the side, like a hatch door.
Well, originally I was thinking on adding the MG but I never found a good pic of it. I guess I am leaving it as an addon for the future, maybe with the L/70.
Just found out it was a small hole underneath the cone (With a smaller hole above it for the gunner to look through), and that the cone rotated open to the right.
