Installing Dawn of War II from the disc

See this guide for help.

Slow/sluggish performance and/or longer loading times than normal

Game Cache File (GCF) fragmentation may result in increased load times and sound skipping or stuttering - to ensure your Game Cache Files (GCF's) are stored contiguously, please observe the following process:
From the My Games tab, right-click on the game you would like to defragment and select Properties
In the Properties window select the Local Files tab
Click the Defragment cache files button
Once the defragmentation process has completed, you will be presented with a report detailing the extent of fragmentation

Experiencing purple checkerboards, weapon or world models are missing, or experience crashes while playing a game. Verify that the GCF Cache files are good
WARNING:
Do not run this process while performing other system-intensive processes, such as defragmenting your hard drive or scanning for viruses.
Do not run this process for multiple games at the same time.

Load Steam
From the My Games tab, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache... button.
Steam will verify the game cache files (GCF's) - this process may take several minutes.
Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit.

How to restore the game back to its default settings/mod causes corruption to game files

Basically all you need to do is rename your game folder and let Steam recreate a totally default installation.
You do this by exiting from Steam, then go to (for example):
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\<account>\condition zero
and rename the condition zero folder to this:
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\<account>\~condition zero
When you start up Steam and then click on condition zero in the games menu, Steam will quickly create a default installation which should be exactly the same as when you first installed the game.
You will need to re-configure your key binds if you use any custom settings.
If that all looks fine then you can delete the ~condition zero folder.
If you have any custom content that you wish to keep, you will need to move it from the ~condition zero folder before deleting it.

This game is currently unavailable

Exit from Steam.
Go to C:\Program Files\Steam\ (or your default Steam location).
Right click the Steam.exe and choose "Run as Administrator" to launch Steam. The option may not work with a Desktop shortcut to Steam so be sure to use the direct Steam.exe.
This process is not permanent. If this corrects your issue, you can continue to launch Steam with this process or upgrade your Windows User account to Administrator status.

Games Are Missing from the My Games Tab

I AM LOGGING IN TO STEAM FOR THE FIRST TIME - WHERE ARE MY GAMES?

If you purchased a retail package and created a Steam account, you will need to register your CD Key to activate the product. Please see the Activating a Product on Steam article for more information on registering a CD Key / activating a product on Steam.

I'VE USED STEAM BEFORE BUT NOW ALL OF MY GAMES ARE MISSING - WHAT HAPPENED?

If you have already activated and played games on Steam in the past but the games are no longer appearing in your list of activated games, you are most likely logged into the wrong Steam account. Please see the Contacting VALVe Billing and Support article for instructions to retrieve the account your games are registered to.

ALL OF MY GAMES ARE THERE EXCEPT ONE OR A FEW OF THEM. WHY?

Sometimes Steam will appear to be functioning correctly, except certain games will be missing from your list. If you are absolutely sure that you are logged in to the correct Steam account, then the issue is most likely due to some ports being blocked by your firewall and/or router. Since Steam cannot connect on all of the ports it uses, it may run into a problem verifying one of your games. To see the list of ports and to make sure that all of the ports for Steam are open, please follow this guide.

I JUST PURCHASED A GAME BUT I DON'T SEE IT IN THE MY GAMES LIST. WHERE IS IT??

You may have to log out of your Steam account and log back in to Steam in order for the game to appear in the My Games list.

How to enable Steam Offline mode

The Steam client application's files must be updated to allow for the use of Offline Mode. If your game's status is "100% - Ready" but you receive the message "This game cannot be started in Offline Mode" when attempting to play offline, the Steam client application's files need to be updated.
Firewall settings preventing Steam from updating itself are the most common cause for this problem. Please see the Troubleshooting Network Connectivity topic for instructions to configure your network so Steam may update if you encounter any difficulties with Offline Mode.

USING OFFLINE MODE
Please follow the instructions below to configure Offline Mode on your machine:
Start Steam online - make sure the Remember my password box on the login window is checked
Verify that all game files are completely updated - you can see the update status for a game under the My Games tab (when the game shows as 100% - Ready it is ready to be played in Offline Mode)
Launch the game you would like to play offline to verify that there are no further updates to download - shut down the game and return to Steam once you have confirmed that the game can be played
Go to Settings to ensure the Do not store account information on this computer option is not selected
From the main Steam window, go to File and select Go Offline
Click OK to restart Steam in Offline Mode
