    Ok, I got the 688 mb rar file, now what I am supposed to do? Is that the one for Soulstorm? Where do I put the files? Could someone explain this?

    its for dc. is it really that hard to see the big white lettering above the download link?

    if its an installer it should extract to where its needed. otherwise place the files in the dark crusade folder, and then launch from the game manager

    Thanks for the advise, well, I guess this will make things a bit more difficult for me since I erased all the files od DC except the EXE in order to save space (I only play SS at this point) now, where did I put those disks...

    With the work-over you're doing on the drop pods, does this mean that they won't disappear after dropping like normal? If not, are you going to add the storm bolter to the top (at least I think it's a storm bolter)?

    they disappear because of the unit essentially dying after a set spawn period. you could probably give it a hp value and it would likely act as a normal unit.

    as for weapons, it will get the storm bolter by default with a deathwind upgrade.

    Current download links on this thread is for Firestorm over Kronus which is for DC 1.2. If I'm not wrong Firestorm over Kaurava has not been released yet.

    Very nice model. I see that you relented a little on your stance Horus, and made
    some Night Lords in another thread. You said that they would be used on Undivided.
    Undivided in this mod?

    So your already using the rules for 2 different Chaos Codices. Including a Night Lords
    Chaos Lord.(Assuming ) Why not just go full out- Add Chaos Bikes, (fast attack)
    a Basilisk or alternate Imperial Minotaur with twin earth shaker cannons (IW fans) And
    maybe a Brass Scorpion? Or even a Chaos Thunderfire cannon!

    Just like to see some Chaos Vehicle variety. Love the mod. Fantastic to play through
    and through. Look forward to the next patch.

    Although I gotta ask, why do the IG get the Inquisition? I don't feel that they need them, I don't even use them actually. Just curiosity. I love the mod and can't wait for AI.

    No. If you look at Assault Squad entry in their Codex, you'll find that they can remove jump packs and get a free Rhino as transport option.

    Since i like to recolour all the campaign races using IBBoards excellent texture tool, my question is how will the game use the spec in the .rsh texture when the campaign uses .rtx textures for the vanilla named units & buldings?

    The texture tool gives the opportunity to add extra maps to .rsh textures when created from a .dds, but not .rtx textures.

    No matter, i've found a way to have the game revert to the .rsh textures instead of .rtx for the campaign.

    The main reason for asking is because i want shiny metal necrons for the campaign.

    There will eventually be a campaign for SS as well. However, DC is more of my "training ground" for the final product.

    As for time, well, it's more likely that with the amount of work I've got with this, any little spare pieces of help could be better.

    Shiny Necrons, I've been having a think about it - the Campaign itself is all self contained, and there will be several unique things going in, but Necrons don't lend themselves well to being unique. So Shiny Necrons could go somewhat to making them less boring. As if 120 Necron Warriors wasn't bad enough, but Heyho.

    I got some problem here.

    I have DoW-DC 1.2 version and use installer version of the mod from this link http://www.megaupload.com/?d=FKY2IF1E

    I can see new unit in army painter and see that some unit not yet finish in texture of their part. (their weapon, etc.)

    When I create a skimish game it keep crashing out to desktop when map is loaded and I didn't use any new game option.


    Have any solution?


    ps. Multiplayer and Campaign files is hard to download I keep being disconnect from loading it too.

    First off my appreciation goes out to horus & everyone involved in the mod, it's quite an achievement.
    Although not a TT player myself so codex isn't really that important, but a great game experience is & FoK delivers.
    I did change one aspect though as i thought the infantry visual scale sizes were to small so i put those back up to one.
    It's a shame that the campaign isn't fully completable as i'm a campaign kinda guy but since i get most, if not all, enjoyment from playing rather than completing it's not that much of a deal.

    Secondly, i apologize to horus in advance if it's hijacking your thread a little, here are a few screenies of what i was trying to do with the necrons if Varellian is interested.
    Although the increased specular looks much better in motion.

    Sorry to dig this up, but it's simply amazing! Barring unfinished textures and missing descriptions/tool-tips, it's quite literally orgasmic to behold! I just love the Space Marines and Imperial Guard, how every upgrade has an effect on the model is just above and beyond what any could ask for from a free mod!

    The only thing I can request is more SM Traits and the Doctrine System from 4th IG.

    Yes, I do. I put those campaign file in it place too.

    I found out that if I play on 1-1 map is fine but when more than 6 is not good.

    It lame when you want to see big battle but your game not let you do.


    ps. I got a good build up PC but I can't figure out why DoW is crash when play in 7-8 player map.

    lol, its been asked beyond count
    Tyranids are planned and we have permistion to use Lokkee's models but..... he hasnt finished working on them yet and we need a talented animator before he will. So nids are planned and I'm sure well get them but we have a lot of ground to cover before that happens

    Seeing all this amazingly beautiful and professional looking stuff is almost to much to take in.

    These models by Meloo and Horusheretic are awesome and that texturing example by Fleshp0int is incredibly good looking. And jaylo138's shiny necrons look very cool too.

    I wonder... if the DoW2 devs watch all this beauty and read about the plans for FoK SS, they must realize by now they made a terrible mistake. They took the wrong turn.

    FoK is the only true DoW successor, the only DoW2.
