Berzerks should be in, cause their so cool. Plague for Nurgle, as stated. Tzeetch has got their Sorceror, which maybe some horrors call-in. That leaves only Slaanesh, so give them noise marines!! or Daemonettes.

Tzeentch Sorcerer is not enough. I want a Lord of Change stomping around and randomly adjusting the user graphics and resolution where he steps :P

    Oh, and daemonettes, yeah.

  3. #653
Daemonettes are nay, boobs would ban the game in most countries :P

just joking, bring them in, Tzeentchians need some love too.

  4. #654
The can just cover the important areas. Also, Relic better include Rubric marines, i want to play with Waling Sacophagus(es?).

  5. #655
Covered Daemonettes are not Daemonettes anymore.

    I loled.

I guess I was being a tad optimistic that the Chaos dread would look like this... (not my work, Mine looks better, and has nurglings )

I'm not a fan of the new "boxy" look, or the missle-pod arm... I want my heavy plasma and power claw back!!!

I love the taint that rots the ground around them!
I hate that its the same art/effect as nid-goo spells.
Ra Owa : AAHHHH!!!! ITS A ROCK!
    Troubleshooter : Wha... oh... Pfffttt... Prove it. :}
    Ra Owa : ... [sputtering] ... o.O ... Its SCIENCE!

Pretty much the same way I feel. The teasers are pretty disappointing so far and if everything else looks the same then I definitely won't buy this at full price.
MILK FOR THE KHOOOORNEEE FLAKESSS!!! LET THE CEREAL DROWN IN IT!!
Why are we out here, when we could be in the thick of BREAKFAST!! MILK, I ache for the taste of MILK!

    At least Relic's dread doesn't have a horn-cock.

Please tell me you're being sarcastic here or I'll lose all the respect I had for you as a fellow TM player... Those miniatures are out of casting for what, over two decades now? And for good reason too. Instead you get the classic early nineties ribbed hull version without the riddiculous flail. Hell, for this model alone I'm liking how chaos is shaping up. Yes the head is big but so are the ones on the FW models which nobody seems to have problems with for some bizzare reason... And it having a missle launcher should be a good sign. You know, of the CSM not being a carbon copy of the SMs.

    THIIIIIS!!!

Also, sorry T-Shooter, but the Chaos Dread on your pic looks so lame I know it's a devious Tzeentchian device to decimate the enemy with laughter.

Or is it The Funniest Joke in the World?

    I definitely prefer Relic's one.

I like the old Dred Trouble- but purely from a nostalgic point of view! The one designed after that was pretty good- had a Heavy plasma gun (which would be sweet on a dred I might add!) and a big claw that extended miles out to the side and looked like it was made to plough fields, and probably bodies.
I think the Defiler probably came into existance because People wanted Chaos to stop using Drednaughts some time ago

    Alternativley- THIS

^Looks like a Carniflex did the nasty with a Defiler and produced this. But oddly enough, I like it, too!

That seems to be a accurate depiction of a warhound titan. About the size of a smaller building.
What do you do when there is a evil that you cannot defeat by just means? Do you stain your hands with evil to destroy evil or do you remain steadfast and just, even if it means surrendering to evil?

  25. #675
Cool picture. Where did you find it? Titans and super heavy tanks (which includes Baneblades) are out of scale with DoW2. The tanks/vehicles in DoW2 were made specifically larger to illustrate the fact that tanks/vehicles are big.
    Z405:
I just don't like this; i can understand that there need to be counters, but this is just retarded.

    The campaign fails. Big time.
I cannot believe that relic is going to make another campaign like that one, i would rather have a short fun campaign than a long aburrido (just learned that today in Spanish class. in case you don't know, it is boring.) campaign.
I was thinking about posting a post on how relic should make the campaign, but since the announcement came out, i think that i can not change things anymore.
ANYWAYS... i was thinking that relic should make a more Warcraft like kind of campaign. Where every levels are unique and you actually get excited about finding out what will happen. Already, i can see how the campaign is going to work:
    1. Space Marines getting trouble with ork
    2. ork lead to eldar
    3. eldar blames nids
    4. Nids slaughtered by CHAOS
    5. WOW!! I KILL TO FIND THAT OUT
    6. Captain, CHAOS is without FEAR. We cannot scare them,m let's fight them
    7. YAY!!! WE WOOOONNNN!!! WO HOOOOOOOOO.
    8. fail

Because it's all we have. In a thread nearly 700 posts long, at least it's contained to one thread.

Maybe after The Last Stand is launched, we'll see more marketing for CR and we'll get more info. Who knows, maybe The Last Stand has a few surprises for us that gives us a clue regarding Chaos Rising.

  33. #683
    @Choon:

What, you'd rather have a Metamap? Also, it's an RTS about WH40k, if you're playing this for the story you're playing the wrong genre and on the wrong universe.

  34. #684
Some of you didn't like the DoW II campaign, fine. While myself, and many others did. All they have to do is make the bosses MUCH tougher, the AI more intelligent, and make things less repetitive and more action packed and randomized.
That would go a long way in making the campaign more enjoyable.

Most of all make the main character an ACTUAL character. I can't get over that stupid concept that "you" are a SM force commander, leading an elite squad of Blood ravens, yet you never talk or have any interaction in the story. WTF...seriously!?

I really enjoyed the RPG elements, and choosing where to lead your force. The story was very good as well for the most part, but once again if you were using Gabrial Angelos instead of a no name mute FC it would've made things much more enjoyable.

  35. #685
All they have to do is make the bosses MUCH tougher
God no. They need to remove the god damn bosses. All the boss fights in DoW2 were stand in one place and shoot at them 'till they die, if they advertise an attack, move from X spot to Y spot, rinse and repeat. This was ok at the start, but when you fight the Warboss, oh, jesus christ, what where they thinking?

The fight goes on FOREVER. It's the most boring and horrible feature in the DoW II campaign.

I agree with everything else though, and Relic already confirmed that they're going to remove the repetitiveness.(thank god)

Also, bosses do work in RTS's, just not in the traditional sense, what do you think the Overmind was? or Archimonde(?) in WC3, or many others. But god, giving 1 unit super powerfull attacks and millions of HP points is the worst idea for a boss ever conceived.

  36. #686
Can we please see something like this in the campaign, because HOLY SHIT!

    The campaign fails. Big time.
it was the best one relic did so far and one of the best I ever played in a RTS
Gaius Baltar in S04E16 nBSG: "and guns ! more guns ! BIGGER GUNS ! BETTER GUNS ! AND WHEN WE HAVE THOSE, WE WILL WIN !"

  45. #695
Also, note that that giant... construction is not Slaanesh specifically. Each side belongs to a different god. If you look to the right, you can see the side that is expunging Nurgle troops.

  46. #696
Please Relic, go back to Dow1:

    - it's ridiculous that if you want to fall back you run in 40 millenia . In warcraft 3 YOU TELEPORT ALL YOUR ARMY to prevent ramdom anhinilation by a stupid IA

    - the game is lineal, over and over again is the same. The commander is better to choose inside the gameplay like warcraft (cause if you selected before it will be condicionated by the map and the enemy faction)

    - 4 or 5 units and 2 vehicles per faction?????! you go back in time ... (smells like warcraft 3)

    - this game only have 2 possitive things: graphics and.... graphics (very cute) but I rather prefer the battle cinematics of dow1 (seeing a replay it's like watch a film)

    - knockback is a shit!!

    - see the ESL results... there is a importan lack of teams in ESL cause is LINEAL, no addictive, no options.

    - NO MULTIPLAYER SUPPORT NO FUTURE (see battlenet)

I wish Relic slightly increased number of models and size of maps. They got squad sizes quite good to me but in the result the game is kinda a small skirmish. I want to have a small battle .

@mata. War3 sucks. After playing it for 4-5 years, the imbalance could not be stopped and bliz just settled with each race having viable units. This is because of choosing heroes inside the gameplay, and choosing multiple heroes that eventually controlled the whole game that you do not need any other unit.

  50. #700
AN IDEA !! make a mod in the expansion to convert dow2 gameplay in dow1 gameplay with structures and large maps.... you will see the selling results instantly!!!
