It's ten years ago today (September 28th, 1999) that Homeworld was "released" into the wild.
For those of you that have been around for that long, please spend a moment to share your strongest memories of Homeworld... single player, multiplayer, or moments from the community.
For me, my strongest memories of Homeworld are seeing the opening intro (from the demo actually). Following that is the mothership's arrival back at Kharak. Another strong memory is the "wow" moment when I finally "got" the camera system. That of course happened in the middle of playing a demo skirmish game and happened to coincide with me thinking how much it reminded me of Robotech, Star Wars, and Battlestar Galactica.
What are your memories?
(For those of you that haven't played Homeworld before, please see this post for info about downloading Homeworld Raider Retreat).
