    excuse me...but did you worked on a famous fallschirmjager mortar like the 5cm Granatewerfer 35?.The smallest mortar used in world war 2?.


    and actually, the Italians only used engineers on the battle of crete.They were glidered off to the bridge on corinth canal.

    But serious though, i'm pretty excited for this mod...

    Wow...it looks more better than before. I don't like only one thing. I saw doctrine guides on Imageshack and English doctrines are totally same(only bit changed). I hope that English doctrines will be changed more.

    Looks awesome, also gotta tell u the second time that Angovile looks amazing and I see that theres no buildings neither at axis or allies base, did you edit the ai files to be only Infantry battles or were u playing online? Also everything looks awesome, love the Commandos with Thompsons

    Well... core mod is almost ready when till end of work kinda far In any
    case mod already playable!
    We made closed beta-testing, but I would be glad to
    play it with some of you.
    Your opinions, criticism and advises is more then welcome!
    My nickname in game is Rrr88 (Chats Play CoH Mods).

    Some things still under development:

    - only one map currently present (remake of Angoville)
    - no AI for German (so you can play only against British AI)
    - no models for Light Tank Mk VI, Matilda II (temporary replaced with
    Stuart and Churchill)
    - no model for German DFS 230 (replaced with British glider model)

    Create desktop shortcut for RelicCOH.exe, in shortcut properties in Target field add " -dev -mod Battle_of_Crete"
    (dont forget "space" before"-") (for example "C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\RelicCOH.exe" -dev -mod Battle_of_Crete)

    I think you should upload the mod to moddb too= More downloads. And maybe give more information on the mod there?

    One last thing: Don't say "this is my first mod" because some people might think that it is of bad quality etc which it isn't

    Ok I played a round now and I'm positively in pressed. The whole presentation of the mod is very well done and the map's atmosphere suits perfectly.

    Also gameplay is fine and refreshing. I just think there should be more variation in troops, especially through doctrines. For example there could be a Flamethrower Squads added Luftlande Sturm Rgt. Tree instead of those former PE upgrades.

    Paras should have normal Grenades imho. And you could add a Panzer II call-In (limited to 1 - there were two on the whole island).

    I'll test through the doctrines, but in general very nice work, respect, esspecially the presentation.

    Simply, yet very impressive and fun.

    I love what you have done with your mod. This is Perfect. It is very simple yet it is good fun infantry battle without heavy reinforcements. I love the idea of deploying all units from the air instead of building from the factories. Thank you for your hard work.

    Maybe a British allies doctrine? (Greece, Australia, New Zealand) You would be able to call in reinforcements from each ally. I'll elaborate later.

    Its awesome, just played. Have some feedback. Its far too hard to play as British early in the game with their costly and inafective units in the begining. Eg. Falls vs inf Section. Brit section will win if their in cover and falls are not. otherwise they loose all the time. Also the munitions drop from the German 3rd command row, the 3 ability on the left doesnt show up when unlocked. Its easy to play as Brits when you get tanks, maybe give some call in of a tank for Germans to? Also the Stuart call in is a bit overpriced, by the time I unlocked Stuart I got the second British Tent and could build 2 stuarts for 560 instead of a 600 call in of 2... Maybe lower the the cost to like 500? Another thing is the German leutenant u can build from HQ, in the description it says you get new abilities based on the command row, but when I built him, nothing changed, he didngt have any abilities. The German tech up is way too fast and needs to be slow
    ed down, maybe by requirements or higher costs? And the Fall Mp40 fires semi only, no auto :/ Also the Mp40 is very good in long ranges somehow and easily kills everything...
    This was a play online between British 3rd company and German 3rd company. I can upload a replay if you want.

    You need fuel for attack call-ins, so its ok

    Really impressive work. I love the Stuka call-in and the Wehrmacht glider call-in.

    The only downside is the few number of unit types and abilities (for the Wehrmacht at least, I haven't played as Brits).

    For the Wehrmacht, an entrenching ability would definitely be nice for the infantry, at least for the glider-borne heavy infantry, to help survive the Brit mortar bunkers and light armor.

    For the Brits, the Matildas could use a dig-in option, since if you believe wikipedia at all, that's how there were mostly employed.

    Got the mod working and BTW super awsome mod, very fun, although,. the germans should get the Messerschmitt Me 321 glider and add that to the game so u could get medium tanks for germans

    Love the mod. Love the battle chosen as subject material.
    The first and probably last entirely airborne operation on this scale that was successfull on its own.

    I know its early beta but some suggestions if I may (just my humble opinions):

    Have a parachute unit that has not got airdroped weapons at all.
    From memory a lot of german airborne were running around with pistols until they could find dispersed weapons cannisters (dropped seperately).

    Also iirc the germans did have some small mountain arty howitzers - i may be thinking of the americans here.

    Allow the germans to capture enemy equipment easily. It would be good to be able to capture some British tanks/brens etc.

    Have a German Para pioneers unit for sabotage and raiding.

    Trenches - I know the germans did at least some digging in. It may be wise to allow digging in for the germans? undecided here.

    German Warhship Support - Cannot remember exactly. But towards the end of the campaign the germans started shipping things like no tomorrow. Was their big gun support from german destroyers?

    If possible mountain troops should not be seperated in a tree. But rather be recruitable at the top tier by anyone with a lot of variety late in the tree provided by mountain troops being shipped in with heavy weapons by glider or destroyer. The mountain troops made a real difference in the campaign when they were able to land in force.

    British Units:
    Maori Unit - not really much different from a normal infantry unit. Would look different and have different stats though.
    ANZAC Units - Australia and NZ did well in this campaign. Although their successfull charges were curtailed by the british.
    did the brits have armoured cars on the island?


    Concentrate on the minute differences in weapons and training on both sides and exagerrating them?

    What would be really great to swing is defending an airfield and getting regular glider drops to it. But this is already done really with the ju52 coming in.

    Looking forward to more maps and AI for the germans.

    Hey, just tested the Mod for a quick first time, and its refreshing.

    I dont need to say that I like mods which focus on special Battles and have a professional look. Its much more epic on this side. Well done.
    Havent tried any provided maps yet.

    For gameplay: I would love the idea of Destreax.. if its possible to drop weapons and
    Squad seperately, that would be awesome..but maybe too relaistic.

    I havent played very much yet, cause the tomies eat my fallschirmjaegers for breakfast.. but mor feedback to come.

    Just noticed that there is a DFS230 Model in Codename: Panzers Phase I. It is used to bring the Germans in Mission 6 and it doesn't look that bad... You can have a look on it in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6aNNE-Iym8

    And (you may already know...) there are tools to extract those models from panzers... so you perhaps are willing to look at it (at least)

    Go on with this mod.... I like it very much (but already made a couple of changes...)
