    Zetrial is from Australia.
    The thing with Rodzaju's mod is he does stuff that simply doesn't look right, such as making the Ravens Barding armour available for use without a jump pack which leaves the jump pack texture parts hanging in mid air.
    In his first post he says it's a small thing, but it just looks sloppy.
    Which brings me onto my next point.

    Rodzaju wouldn't have been able to fix the clipping on power swords & storm bolters without editing the models, which we currently can't do.
    Also how can the power swords in termie armour work perfectly when termie armour doesn't have "melee_blade" animations associated with it.

    @DeusImperator i have two little ideas
    first space captains usually stand out from everyone else so im sugguesting more elegant helmets
    two for pvp dont have devastators with all the heavy weapons but have wargear option such as 4 heavy bolters, four missile launchers four plasma cannons the one thing i didnt like out of a good mod was having 2 bolters 2 missles etc in the squad
    just my 2 cents

    I usually don't Deus, I keep myself offline to avoid spamming from mistakes in my past lol. Been a while guys sat back from Dow for quite some time and been back into Wow.
    Anyhow Deus you are free to use Brothers in any which shape or form you wish really, looks like this compilation could be an interesting thing, might have to load up Dow again and give it a whirl at some time.

    Thank you very much! Now I got all the 3 permissions I needed. I'll release the mod soon (possibly today).

    I know the spam feeling... there was a guy who once asked me daily questions like this "Abaddon vs Kharn lol?" .

    Ah, WoW. What sweet memories, but I ran out of money and I did not like the distinct feeling the took out. And Warhammer online had faster leveling.

    So does anybody know a good upload site?

    The FC in campaign has a white veteran helmet. The PVP one has his head bare.

    While 4 plasma or missilies would seem great, 1/1 per squad is imba enough.

    Remember, this is a background mod, with lot of weaponry being much, much, much more destructive than in vanilla.
    Devastators with additional bolter marines had a very big pathfinding/Setup problem. It is much easier to control this way.
    And I believe the Blood Ravens and the Space wolves use heavy weapon Devastators anyway .

    The first release will be an alpha, so the balance will be most likely found wanting.

    Installation:
    1 Extract the Enlgish.rar into : Dawn of War 2\GameAssets\Locale\English
    2 Extract the Data.rar into: Dawn of War 2\GameAssets\Data
    3 Make a back up copy of your own original DoW2.module file.
    When done, replace the original with the DoW2.module provided with the mod.
    4 Download Project WARhammer mod from here:

    Downloading now, I have some things to deal with first, but I'll give it a try later, and well done on getting all three permissions, all three of those guys have made great mods, but the best aspects of all three will rock!

    I'd like to try some friendly PvP later, as I have only played Skirmish and The Last Stand, not PvP, would people mind adding me to their friends lists?

    test kick ass mod

    tested the mod some problems with single player right off the bat

    the red font is really hard to read for item description

    None of the Item names are showing up in the menu just say onehanded weapon or 2 handed weapon

    cyrus and avi didnt show up on the mission complete for taking the hamlet (i.e that squad leveling up screen)

    gettin no sound from any squad ingame, However inbetween missions and mission advancement speeches (i.e thule in mission one tarkus at the end of mission 1 cyrus mission 2) can be heard

    Hm I'll later try the SGA... but I am planning on updates every 3rd day so...

    Assassin2135: I have no idea what causes that. I'll try looking into it.. please send me your error logs.

    Make sure that there are no other mods in the DATA folder and no other UCS files in the Locale folder.

    Also, do you have 1.8? It needs it.

    Red items are intentional, but I can change that.

    no no red items are fine its the describing font (and the fact that the minuite i pan my mouse over said wargear at the mission selection it swaps to what im using and doesnt display what the effects of the item i have my mouse on)

    Do you have any other UCS in the Locale/English folder than those in the mod? Do you use English game? It only works with English.

    Is your simulation folder 73,3 megabytes ? 76*895*125 bytes?

    second note im not really gettin any error reports 2nd question do i have to extract every single rar in the data and engish folders?

    Note i havent done that part yet but the main folders are where they have to be

    mod testing

    Just some bug reports/testing feedback. Great mod, btw!

    1) Little heavy on the wargear drops. In second mission was getting 2-4 wargear drops when grenading a squad of orks.

    2) Wargear errors (lots). Names listed that are odd; Avatar & Tyrea. None labeled as FC usable, but many are.

    Scout armor Grim Silence labeled as usable by Thaddeus (looked like all of Cyrus' gear was labeled Thaddeus actually), but usable by Cyrus (well.. once he got to lvl 18. silly lvl 4 wargear with lvl 18 requirement ).

    Gauntlet of Blood labeled Avitus, but only FC could use.

    Scourge of Xenos heavy bolter labeled Avatar, Avitus, Thaddeus (with terminator armor). FC & Tarkus could use, but not Avitus.

    This mod rocks, the battles feel EPIC! Well done on making this all work so well, I haven't come across any errors as yet, but I'll let you know when I do.

    But how do I disable persistent bodies? As cool as it is, it makes my computer lag, which really sucks, as it's already running the game on lowest detail.

    @Ezryder914: That bug appeared for someone else when they merely altered the drop percentages for items, and it renames who can use items, without changing who CAN actually use them, it's just a superficial bug.

    ezryder914: I had that error too once.
    Make sure that only the UCS files posted in with the mod are in your English folder. Remove any other ones, those cause that type of errors. aDoW2.ucs is usually the problem, just delete it, it is an obsolete version of DoW2.ucs.
    The wargear drops... the problem is that on some missions all drop, on others none. I'm not sure how to fix it.
    I'll look into grim silence.

    cain19822004: I'm not actually sure how to do that, that came with the other mods and frankly adds a lot of fun to the game. I recommend lowering your graphics... I'll look into making another version, but it will have to wait.

    Assassin2135 : No, you only have to extract the data and English rars. Any other rar is simply there as an error, they are some safety saves of older stuff.

    However I think you had a previous mod installed, and the two mods collided.
    That is why your simulation folder is way too large.
    I think you should Copy/paste your simulation folder to another location, and than copy the simulation folder from the DAta.rar into its place.


    Some of the main quest missions (the purple ones, like Angel Forge, Last Stand, Astronomic array...) might cause an error. I am not sure they will, but as a precaution make a copy of your Saved games folder before you try these missions.

    hmm i like your reasoning dues gimme a min ill try this and get back to you

    update after redoing all my data section with your files it did fix some problems however
    im still not able to view my selected weapon in the wargear screen properly AND my current weapon (few seconds after i scroll over i get the default weapon im using but not the weapon im looking at) second problem is still no sounds during missions (i.e squad quotes and victory announcer) but once again thules briefing and tarkus comments outside the mission can be heard

    dezztroy: Im sure when DeusImp hits beta and final bug testing/balancing he will make it a sga so you can play it co-op.

    Having it as loose files during an alpha means he can get people to remove files easier if a certain file is causing issues or something.

    i dont know if its cause i rushed but the tyrianids arn't making good use of their cap
    if u do make a new version may i sugguest you add a tactical marine drop pod for fluff reasons

    So I packed it up into SGAs and tried some coop. Liking it so far, but the Imperial Guard Drop Pod crashes the game when activated.

    I'm not sure why the races don't use their full cap.

    Assassin I'm out of ideas. Are there no UCS files in your game beside my ones?
    I can only say try reinstalling it, and starting a new campaign. I never had such errors.

    just tried the multi player and my GOD imperator youve really gotten the feel for that one set was really fun i found now then

    no sounds for unit selections upgrades notifications and what not i think ill uninstall and reinstall next month

    (i got a internet cap here so i gotta be a bit careful as i get closer to the end of the month)

    from what ive tried though i am thouroghly impressed

    Assassin, try deleting the whole simulation folder and re-copying it from the mod rar. I had an error like that, but that was due to bad DoW2 version. I tried to run the mod on 1.5 and it gave similar errors. Perhaps some of your SGA files are not/badly updated.

    It happened to me once, I had to reinstall Steam too to finally get DoW2 working again.

    Followed your instructions to the letter, game crashes every time. Deleted all local content and folders just to be sure and reinstalled. Whenever the game is loading, before it reaches the 'splash' screen, it blacks out and returns to desktop with the Relic bugreport.

    Resolved the issue. If you are simply copying/pasting a copy of your original .module file you have to be certain you change the extension of the .module to something else like .moduleORIGINAL.

    A few notes from my perspective.

    • Reduce amount of enemies by around 20%, there is almost too much on the field as of now.
    • With the increased numbers of enemies reduce the number of wargear drops back to normal, it should balance out.
    • Characters in single player seem to suffer extreme amounts of random damage not related to combat. My Avitus squad was entirely wiped out within two seconds while not being under fire. Same for my Force Commander.

    1 Hm I like the enemies this way... the whole point of SM is being able to defeat thousands of lesser foes.
    2 I'm not sure why does not the wargears drop eavenly.
    3 I have no idea what causes that.... grenades? Friendly fire? What difficulty you play?

    Checked my Locale\English directory and only have the 5 UCS files that were included in the rar. I followed the directions in the readme and made a backup of the original DOW2.ucs file before overwriting it with the one in the rar.

    So the 4 other UCS files are; A.ucs, APW.ucs, Brothers.ucs, and SquadMod.ucs

    1) I guess it's just an idea of preference to me, I prefer to crank the graphics up to see all the good combat in best detail but it limits how many mobs I can see at once. And it's definitely sorta fluffy but still I think it should be taken into account with machines. Is it a complex thing to change? If not I wouldn't mind a quick 'how to' in a message so I can just change it myself.

    2) Can't say, it's not a horrible thing.

    3) Playing on Sergeant for testing purposes, Avitus and my Force Commander were far away from fighting. I heard sounds like a 'sniper' hitting them and they lost a tremendous amount of health, but there was no mob in the area. The entire Devastator squad was wiped out in under 3 seconds from full health, Commander followed another second or two after.

    Just use it in -dev mode. Seeing as it's not 100% done it probably wouldn't be a good idea to slap this into co-op mode and run it there.



    Edit: Rather than double post, I'll just say here that I've got the error with the FC's backpack as well. I remember hearing somewhere in another thread that the head is tied to the backpack or something like that. Maybe something to look into?

    To edit the spawned numbers use the RBF converter helper to edit this file:
    Dawn of War 2\GameAssets\Data/Scar/Proceduralcontent/data/procedural-data.scar
    Alternately deleting this file will revert the values to vanilla Relic Standard.

    Search it for entries like this :

    I'm sorry but the "-dev" command really doesn't work with my DoW2. But SGAs do work. That's why I prefer SGAs than having to use the -dev command.

    The fix works perfectly Deus. My FC has his powerpack back. I think somebody already pointed out as well that the wargear is a little wonky. It lists the wrong names at times and will work with different levels than what it says. For instance, the Blade of Ulyus, a chainsword, is supposed to have a level req. of 5, but I was able to equip it to my lvl 3 FC with no problem at all. That's all I've got for now, other than that it's great. So much fun to see the marines kicking ass.
