download the demo and see for yourself.
I have not heard of anything that would prevent the game from working on win7
Those who walk through the shadows, seek not the light.
If you disagree with a moderational decision, follow this.
Windows 7 ftw.
It's lighter than even XP, will run DoW at least as well plus will give better performance for everything else you use the machine for.
A couple of things to consider.
1. The limitation of a netbook for DoW will likely be the graphics acceleration.
2. The version of 7 preinstalled on netbooks is called Starter Edition.
This can be readily upgraded to Home Premium if you want the extra functionality.
3. By definition, a netbook will not have an optical (DVD/CD) drive.
Might be an important factor if you want to use your current discs.
Every major computer manufacturer is about to release a new range of Ultra Low Voltage (read long battery life / super portable) models - many with dedicated graphics and dual core cpu's and Win7 Prem preinstalled.
If you're not in a hurry and are willing to spend around 20% extra you will definitely notice the difference.

All Dawn of War games run perfectly on the Windows 7 shell.

Some people don't have the money and/or don't know how. I have been custom building for a while, and Average Gamer Joe has not, nor does he have $3500 USD to drop on a computer like I did at the time.
well i had an older note book and i downloaded dawn of war of
direct to drive and it worked fine but that netbook broke so i get my money back so im gonna now go for a windows 7 one
thanks for the help guys
but average joe do not need too much money, PC is so powerful and cheap now, they do not have to spend too much for a PC that run rings around DOW. This is the truth, that why i am mad why these people refused to upgrade.
$3500 is a steep for most, but they do not need to spend so much.
