Just fyi: Malal was the 5th Chaos God and he was screwed up due to copyright issues, Malice however is not Malal, he was only introduced in 2009, 2 years after the Chaos Space Marine codex and one year after the Chaos Demons codex. I assume he's GW's second go at the 5th Chaos God, and hopefully he'll be fleshed out in the next chaos codex.

It is about 20% to 30% too small.
If they did the scaling "right", then you wouldn't be able to drive through most gaps on smaller maps.
I am a bit confused as to weather we are free to download and use content from this mod for our own mods, as long as its a mod for Dawn of War II of course and we give credit, or we have to have permission from you or other members of the team.

I tried play this version on the latest patch for CR and it doesn't work makes me kinda sad.
Its almost up to speed with being retribution playable and i figured out what caused random 6 player matches to ctd which was a big bug... so thats sorted.

Edit: I was wandering if the OP download works for chaos rising patch v 2.6.0 (latest patch)?
When I try and get it to work I can start the chaos rising campaign but everything with Blood Raven textures is pure black not the normal look. Also if I try and play normal DoW2 everything of the Blood Ravens is black and after Davin Thule talks it says "Fatal Scar Error - Execution Paused" and then I can't do anything. Is this a problem on my end I can fix or a problem with the download?

its the mod, it was an initial taster release that failed somewhat horribly, that and i needed to know if other people could load/play it. Its already helped me figure a few problems so it was kind of worth it ~XD
Oh ok. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't something I did wrong. I mean it was funny when my devastator squad had 10 freakin people in it in chaos rising lolol. I would really like this to be released though would be so much fun.

you know some new kill sync animations for units would be interesting to see with these models.. or some old ones.. like ive always wanted to see the dread pick a body up just like in teh DOW intro for number 1 raise em in the air crash em and smash them on the ground. or a dread attacking another walker like a kan and ripping its arms off or kicking something.. even attacking a tank like a evil pred the dread coudl grab its turret break the barrel etc.. something cool..
a Space marine like the first video.. where the SGT gets his bolt pistol hit outa his hand but then knocks the ork over and slices him in half from bottom to top? would be really cool to see such things later. or instead of the multiple swispes with the chainblade the its jsut want deep cut like in the intro to DOW 2 where the assault marines chops the eldar in half
requires new animations and coding them into the motiontree files properly... which cant do yet.
Looking for a coder or two. don't have much time to do all this atm :/
maybe it wouldnt be a bad idea to look on the COH forums area cause the games use the same or close to the same engines? plus they seem the churn out a ton of models

Speaking of code; You wouldn't have happened to have found a way to give squads multiple wargear upgrades would you? Eg. A plasma cannon upgrade and lascannon upgrade on the same devastator squad.

Not in the same sense as Dow1 way, but since retribution its improved a bit. You can purchase leaders and weapons separately enough, though I haven't tried it with anything more than two upgrades as its still looks like it is only leader/non leader based.
For most squads this isnt a problem, I just had upgrades use abilities instead equipping leaders that had the ability (Squad leaders wouldn't get as they dont have the ability but in chaos rising they would get it anyway ) Things like devastators and havocs would get one of each weapon.
And there is a pelt visual. look at the steam pics
I was thinking about the melee CSM Mark of Khorne upgrade. it gives the champion, and him only a melta pistol.
Now if you have your squad randomised like 2 devastator-a , 2 devastator-b, and 5 devastator-c, maybe its possible to target them using the same script, so that you can have 2-2 of any heavy weapons ?
And yes, the upgrade system of DoW1 was one of the few things it was clearly superior in
well im not to fussed when it comes to devastators and havocs, because one of each weapon makes them really nasty in game XD
Another idea i had was using sim variables to limit squad choices (Like 6 troops 3 fast attack)
But i can't get it working :S

Oh, The gk marine common body itself is almost uv mapped just a head pauldrons and the loin cloth. Then any accessories later for randoms to make epic and rare armours. Since the army painter code, i decided to throw in a random gk visual set for a custom chapter ^_^

will the AI be updated to play with the new content of this mod in private multiplayer games. as in will the AI be hard for once because even on the hardest difficulty AI is easy to beat in dow 2 ,so will this mod make changes to how AI plays?
At the moment it will mostly be a visual mod, Once I sort out a few chaos things there will be a new minor release for retribution.

Nightlords are undivided worshippers, in game though... its just an army painter skin so if you choose the nightlords for example, then your army will look like them.
Same as thousand sons, world eaters etc. When it comes to the cult marines, they will have an fx aura so you can tell them apart.
