"Product key is already in use" issue

    "Product key is already in use" issue

    When I install "Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts". I launch the game and try to complete my registration, but when I click on "Creat Account" button it says: "Product key you entered already in use" even though I already enter my Product key before installing the game.

    How to recreate it:
    1. Launch Company of Heroes game.
    2. Click on the "Create account" button
    3. Enter your information(name, password, e-mail, etc.)
    4. Click on the "Create account" button again.

    What I've done to attempt to fix it:

    1. Click on the "Reset password" button.
    2. Click on the "Recover account" button.
    3. Tried to find a solution to this problem in the Internet.

    I'm waiting for about 1 day and you can't understand what's wrong with my game? I buy the game and the key was already in use, even though I have a license version of the game!

    While we understand you are frustrated at problems with getting your game to run, you need to realise that this is a fan-run forum, not Relic, and everybody who helps out here is a volunteer. We all have other lives to lead. If somebody has an idea that might help you they will post it, until then please be patient.

    There is nothing obviously wrong in the files you posted. It's possible that somebody used a keygen program and generated your keycode before you bought the game. If that's the case then the only people who can help you are THQ North America, as advised in this sticky thread. I suggest you send them an email.

    This is the post of one russian man. He has the same problem as me.
    I just translate you some words that he said.
    "I bought the game, install it, started to play. Later, when I launch the game, it asked me to install "new content" and "wow!" , now I don't need to insert my disk every time I want to play. Ok, I register my account and started to play".
    On the next day, when I want to play CoH, I write down my account info in gaps(nick, password) and it says something like this: "We don't know you. And I don't want to know you!"

    Yeah...and there is only some quotes from his messages. Don't believe me? Try to translate it even in Google Translator.

    Already send 2 messages to Relic Online support and I've got nothing. Is it so hard to give me another code? I don't even think, that my original code already in use!

    You should contact THQ Support and ask them about this. There's a chance the spot you got it from got a bad batch of Keys and several people have the same key.
