    @Gorb - sorry but... were you listening to our past conversations?.. We were talking about the black templars. It crashed FOR the black templars when they construct their barracks thing. THE MOD DID NOT FAIL TO LOAD. It crashes when I play against them. I did not do anything to the BT mod yet, but it crashes after they build the barracks.

    Chaos stronghold works fine. Its just black templars.

    reinstal your SS game
    then only the BT mod and patch
    and see what happen. you got tons of modifications instaled and it is far from being "clean"
    if you want to sort out this mess then do what we say and report here.


    Chaos stronghold works fine
    no sir, it doesn't....this points out a modification of the original SS/dxp3 folder items and is not at all reasonablewhen it comes to ironing out bugs and smoothing things.
    and btw what Gorb say is a very good reason why it crash.....whatever the "it" may be.

    Using a shortcut to the Dawn of War program and adding -dev to the end of the target box will create a different set of log files in the logfiles folder. It's more useful for tracking down sound, model or AI errors.

    and if you are running under Vista do not forget to rightclik on SS.exe--"run as administrator" or "run with admin privilege" or whatever drek ms use for this.

    second, and it took me several days to find it, (because i'm a bit retarded when it comes to computer) make sur the SS main folder and all the subsequent ones, files included, are set to "properties--write : enabled" if not there won't be any logfiles created.

    Just curious, what people think about adaptation existed scar-mission for playing by custom race, such as BT or I.DH.

    I try to offer for a single player a something besides "skirmish vs computer" gameplay.
    I soberly assess of my strength and so I think I'm not able create a new campaign for BT(or any race) from scratch. But making a such "extension" to original script is relative easy for my.

    One such modified map - "Eldar Stronghold" is included in mod. For example, If player move it to DXP2 folder - He will be able to conquer Eldar by Inquisition forces as-well as by BT forces. (If player has have I.DH mod installed)

    An announce about things to come.

    Next iteration will include modifications to Single Player campaign. Black Templars will replace the Sisters of Battle on theirs Duty of cleansing Kaurava System from xenos, mutants and heretics. Black Templars will be the only race selectable for campaign

    Although no new winconditions planned to add (just old good "annihilate" and "strategicobjective"), injecting custom rules and some maps scar-ification will allow (on some territories) to fight in FFA (Free For All) style or VS renegade Blood Ravens + Kaurava's PDF alliance.

    Unfortunately, I don't know how to implement this

    But BT is inherit from SoB a "Forward Base" ability, so if you "buy" barracks, armoury or generators before mission, this buildings are stay saved. This is hadcoded for skirmish missions in campaign

    Progress on campaign conversion:

    Imperial Guards convoys now moving with escort

    And transport itself equipped with stormbolter

    For "usability" purposes the auto-reinforcement rule is added to global campaign wincondition. New crusaders and neophytes will be recruited automatically if player will have enough resources.

    Also, another changes added to IG stronghold map. But, let it be a surprise

    I don't like the background behind the menu buttons as it seems too bland. Perhaps add a little bit of battle damage in there, since the Black Templars are constantly crusading in the Emperor's name?

    Finally, I found the time to test this mod. But already at the start, I get the error message: the chosen game could not be activated, when I tried to load it.

    Any ideas what went wrong?

    I'd like to see it using the newer FoK 3.6 public beta skins for Black Templars. I tried replacing the texture_share and troops folders but it didn't seem to do the trick. Any advice?

    This is not enough, cause some unit's models are replaced in new 3.6 FoK mod. So you need to change a references to them in AE attributes.
    You should be familiar with Corsix's Mod Tools, that is more usable than AE-editor.

    Why I dont see Prometheus Land raider ,Mortis Dreadnought but in Data/art/ebps/races/black_templars/texture share i see .rsh and .default files for this unit but in attribut/ebps/races/black_templar/troops i dont see .rgd files for this unit

    And why black templar commander or marshall or Castallan have no Orbital strike ?

    Thank you, Marvel13887, that you point me this. Unused textures will be deleted soon.

    And why black templar commander or marshall or Castellan have no Orbital strike ?
    I'm not sure. Maybe because templar's strike cruiser was flyed away for some time.
    But anyway, they have a large supply of Holy Orb grenades for emergency purpose.

    I like the one on the right better, the other one is too overcharged for an targeting decal imo, in fact i would make the right one even more minimalistic.

    It must have "BTmod" folder archived. It must not show you "a massive amount of files". Maybe you should update your archiver program.


    Btw, a new BT mod version is upcoming, after I finish my part of work for "Steel Legion for SS" mod. New version of BT will have an installer program. Stay tuned.

    Got this to work by updating my archiver program - thanks! Mod is great and seems fairly balanced too! Nice to have an alternative to my usual blue space marines
