Not sure what is going on but played the game fine for years. Performance has been getting worse and worse, not it's crashing to desktop even after a fresh COH install.

Vid card is running at 42 degrees. I cleaned the cpu fan and heat sink aswell. I lowered my settings to 1024 by 768 and medium. I am getting about 5 frames per second. I just bought the new 9800 vid card thinking that my old 7900 gto overclocked was the issue. But the same problems exist.
I used to get around at least 30 fps second but something is just not right.

So the performance test reports 5 FPS as well?
Something else could be sapping your CPU while you're playing.
Did you try a selective startup?

Well after investigateing further into the temperature I booted up into my bios. I was shocked to find that my cpu was idleing at a temperature of 82 degrees celcius.
I went and purchased a new cpu fan and heatsink with new thermal paste. After the install the idle temp had gone down to 30 degrees celcius. Tested the game and it works slick.
Thanks Uber!
