    They look the same because they followed the same principle in design: they were meant for urban environments (hence the heavy armor) and to destroy fortifications or dug-in troops. Since they both share the Sturm- prefix, it goes to show that they were designed with similar intentions. Just the same as a Panther was originally known as the Panzer V or the Tiger as a Panzer VI. They have similar roles, but built on different chassis with different weapons. Casemate designs were very popular among the Germans.

    I know the Guns are different what I mean is the box on the tank anyway it don't matter to me I have just added both to my mod, and SturmTiger mortar is cool in the game anyway.

    Eli, my flak 38 gunner almost always sync's with the gun, but now my middle gunner of the flakvierling NEVER sync's anymore. Can you fix this please? The flak 38 might not make it through the BETA of my mod if this cannot be fixed...

    I first wanted to say I did not download the Sturmpazner_iv from your post because I can't download from medpackstudios.com in China so I download it from DMz post but Dmz sturmpanzer_iv is called stup_iv now when I am playing British human vs Axis computer the computer player will not use the stup_iv model from Dmz, I have a Sturmtiger from the botb mod, in my mod and the computer player will use this model but not DMz stup_iv.

    Can you tell me what is the problem on this as you and DMz both made this new model

    If you change the download link I can use your sturmpanzer_iv

    It's not the Flak 38. I have a similar problem with my Flakvierlings (non-emplaced ones) wherein more than half the time the middle gunner will stand behind the gun...and I don't have the Flak 38 worked in at all.

    Are you using Luftwaffe gunners? Because that seems to be happening when I have gun crews that use luftwaffe models as opposed to gun crews that use Grenadier or weapon crew models. Might have something to do with the ABP's for the troops we're using as gun crews :/

    Edit: One other thing. I don't have the Flak 38 but I do have the Maxson Quadmount...

    81mm MMC M4, Medium Tank M4A3, Maxson M45D/M55, Universal Carrier Mk. II, and Sherman VC don't have pics that I've seen lately. I'm using Firefox btw and haven't gotten any placeholder broken image link icons...it's just blank. Either Eli hasn't put up pics for those units yet or it's a bug from when the forums were updated with new software.

    The gunner not sitting is a known issue that I am looking into. There is no fix at the moment. It happens when you add either the Maxson or Flak38. I am trying to find out where there is a conflict. Celestial, if you are in a hurry I suggest learning how to use OE and trying tankdestroyer's workaround. Otherwise, have some patience.

    As for the pictures, none are broken, I just haven't gotten around to getting them. I put spoilers as placeholders, so that when the images were uploaded they would show up without further editing. I have uploaded images for all the custom models, anything that doesn't have a picture isn't going to be that significant, anyways. I mean, do I really need to take a picture of the M4A3 without sandbags?

    And LordEmperor, I told you a long time ago that I'm not sure why The Great Firewall of China has decided to block my humble website. I have no desire to upload all my files on a file sharing website for one person, sorry. You'll have to figure out why my website has been blocked and work from there. I will talk to my ISP and see if there's anything I can do on my end.

    As for your issue with the StuP IV, that has nothing to do with our files. As has been answered in your other thread, that is an AI/SCAR issue. I suggest you be patient and work with Jagdpanther, who is trying to help you there already.

    Hey Eli, it is easy/possible to model mix a normal Cromwell with the command Cromwell, so that the command tank has a normal barrel?

    It just bugs me in mods like Blitzkreig where the Command tank is giving the ability to fire, yet has that dummy barrel.

    As Cromwell Command tanks were meant for Brigade and Divisional Headquarters, they have no place in Company of Heroes. I'm not really looking to fix something that needn't be fixed or even used in the first place.

    Shouldn't have a normal barrel anyway...these brigade -level vehicles were so packed with radios and observation gear there wouldn't be any room for a main gun. The job of these tanks was to sit back and observe the flow of battle, directing friendly forces where need be....not engage the enemy directly. The fake barrel was there to disguise the fact that it was a command vehicle and thus make it look less of the choice target that it really was

    Haha I know what it's main purpose was guys .That wasn't what i was getting at, I was just meaning for mods (and i've seen a few) that enable the cromwell command tank to fire. Just looks a bit dodgy, and wandering if it could just an antenna decked out Cromwell instead of a proper "Command" tank but as i said if its not easy or requires a new model it's nothing urgent, just a stray thought

    btw. It's the key thing that unlocks later stages tanks for the CW. I personally thought its a crappy addition to CoH if it can't shoot, it just takes up Pop-cap that i need. So adding a normal barrel...well you get my point

    I like to say thank you for helping me to download the models, But if you read my post Problem with AI using custom unit you will see that I fixed the problem with some help from Jagdpanther.

    I have the sturmpanzer_iv from DMz post in my mod and it works because I change everything.

    But I only know how to work from an UV map.
    I'll reread that tutorial that is lying around here.
    But don't expect awesome work right from the start. But hey everybody needs to begin somewhere.

    Indeed, if there is a UV and you can pass them to dragon93, we could work out some skins for them. I only ever work on a skin if I can see it in game...odd as it may sound.

    The Daimler scout car has always been one of my favourite models...desert rats....

    Also, been working on the Panther Ausf. D and G, even though I won't have the parts modeled for a while. I just figured I'd get a head start so that when the modeled parts are available I can quickly add them and they will be ready.

    The Ausf. D was an early version that's turret was only capable of traversing 6° per second (independent of engine power). It also lacked a hull MG and had a viewport for the radio operator. It had the older style drum cupola, as well. The red circles denote parts that I have deleted and will eventually need models for.



    The Ausf. G was a late version, and the most numerous by late 1944, that had a redesigned hull with increased armor. It got rid of the driver's viewport on the hull and had different exhaust as well. Some of them were outfitted with a "chin" mantlet that prevented shots from deflecting downwards into the weak top armor. The turret traverse was slightly slower than the Ausf. A, at 20° per second at 3000 RPMs (stationary) or ~6.67° per second at 1000 RPMs (mobile).



    Although not circled, the hull will be replaced with a new model as well, with the new features of the Ausf. G models.
