So I guess we are the same page with Dingo then - both waiting for textures and a wreck (with the same model afaik) but animated![]()
Well, I am getting closer with the BA-64 and may have it (testing now). Just changed the wreck from being with the main part of the mix to being part of the turret part of the mix. First try had the main body and the wreck staying on the field, so I tried adding an xtra "not" wreck to the healthy body mix. Also didn't work
Any idea why I can't get the main body to disappear? I did have to remove death from the motion tree for the main body but it does still exist in the states\
Edit - moth OE's has a mesh named healthy - got that fixed and got it working
Now I just need to raise the wreck a little higher and we're good (it's buried in the ground a little bit atm)
K - the center of the rgm is bringing down the wreck a little, but I think it's good considering the headaches and the fact it's a wreck

Sounds good. Hopefully at some point we can find some people interested in making more Soviet models, but for now any future ones should be put on hold for priority models. It's a monumental task (making Soviets), and DMz already has his hands full.
I sent you a couple of PMs by the way. Can you get Steam so we can chat? It's easier than PMs or replies here.

The Panthers need textures. Luckily, since they are mostly just made up of small parts, it should be an easy job. However, DMz is busy and I'm not sure who can do it. Medes said he will give it a shot, but we could really use texture artists to help lessen the burden our modelers have. Modelers should not be doing textures as well. Is therw anyone out there willing to help? I know that Chopin is very good at custom textures.
Also, this is a community project, so everyone can contribute if they wish. The game is not getting any younger so we can use all the help we can get.

The Panther parts are mixed with the Relic Panther, so someone would only have to texture the new parts. The barrel and chin mantlet are modified Relic meshes, so they already fit the Relic skin somewhat.
Ill have a look at the panthers when i have time, see if i can put the new bits onto the old uv and make it look decent, atm making nrm plus gls & spc for the scott. Once ive done those ill upload it to a new folder called allies on your ftp. Then you can work your magic Eli . Im Debating weather or not to add the handles and few other smaller details off the stuart onto the new UV map aswell, incase ive put some new texture onto them and havent realised. Would be just my luck once wed mixed the tracks wheels and smaller details on it, to find all the grab handles and exhuasts bright white and the headlights black or yellow lol.
You already have so much work, I don't want to burden you any further. If Medes is online this weekend I will try to get with him about the Panther textures. I know he is capable, as a lot of his work with Homeworld involves mixing and using Relic textures. He just needs to learn how to do it with COH textures. I can't imagine them being much different, since they are both Relic games.
If the stuff for the panthers is only giving the new parts a skin. (aka just editing the panther's dds file) I could try that and see what comes out.
But if it needs a whole new UV map then I'll first have to learn that. But then this would be a good project to learn UV mapping.
So to give DMz some more time I'd like to give it a shot this weekend. And hope to finish it along with my other stuff for NHC mod.
Do you have Steam? Perhaps we could discuss it more over that. And you are correct, only the new parts would need a skin. Medes has already UV mapped them. I know he is capable of fitting the texture on them, but he is new to COH modding, so I am not sure if or when he will be able to.

Scotts going to be delayed for 24 hours or so, ive decided to put everything off the hull thats still remaining on relic hull & needed, onto the new UV Mapped hull, theres no way of being certain of of having no texture conflict problems unless i do this, Due to the fact i cant see anything on the origional uv. Because as we all know its one of relics fubared 4 we havent been able to get yet. At least all Eliw00d will then have to add to the mix for animation, is bogies,Suspension parts, wheels and tracks, i suppose thats one consolation![]()

Forgive my ignorance, but why would there be texture conflicts with the M8 but not with the Stuart VI Recce? I can get rid of any unneeded meshes, like I did for that.
Recce only uses the hull, i had to fit an entire turret, turret interior Plus Gun and stowage items new hatches and new handles onto the sturt uvmap, If i put somthing in the wrong place your likely to have exhaust pipes and handles with white stars and 16th armoured logos on or worse still totally green engine hatches ect with half a star on. I dont see what the problem is anyway, ive only got a dozen grab handles som light guards and a couple of tail lights to go and its done. Seriously Eli i dont know whats what on the stuarts remaining mesh, i have to do it this way or the textures just wont sit in the right place when you mix it.
I wonder if you guys have any plans for the M3 37mm at gun that robotnik made? It only needs a skin.
I had Beefy update the UV map for them, and have been trying to get someone to fix the skin. I think Xalibur offered, so I may see if he is still up to it. Otherwise I can "release" it so someone can fix it up.

Ive been working on the 90mm trying to UV map it, but its turning out not that great
if anyone on the team would be willing to UV map it, it would really save some time and i can begin skinning it
A jagdpanther has a litter of 33 hetzers. 17 hetzers are eaten by at guns. What percentage of hetzers were blown to bits by at guns?

I'll get back to you on that, still need to figure out what else can be textured at the moment. I think Medes is working on the Panthers, and I haven't seen DMz online. Can you skin a vehicle from scratch? Or were you thinking more of just parts? We don't need anything super high quality, just something that we can release it with so that others can skin it on their own.

Well, DMz and Medes can both UV map, but they have their own models at the moment. Maybe they can give you pointers, though?
Also, I've been touching up some of my old work for a re-release, and decided to do something fun with the Panzer IV:
It is the beginnings of a PzBeobWg IV Ausf. J (Panzer-Beobachtungs-Wagen IV), which is an artillery Observation Post tank. These had the standard cupola removed and replaced with one from a StuG, and had some extra radio equipment fitted. The coaxial machine-gun was removed to make more room in the turret, but otherwise it still had a functional main gun and hull machine-gun. However, these were converted from Ausf. J's, so they have extremely slow turret traverse (manually cranked).
This also means that I will be revisiting the StuG and giving it a commander, animated hatch and periscope upgrade.

Wow. The interior of the Scott is just amazing! Wow was quite literally the only thing i could say. The rest of the skin looks great, especially the detail put into some of the stowage items. But will the Scott have the .50cal in the mount and able to be used?
The Panzer IV Observation tank looks good, however i can see that part of the main gun and mantlet uses Relics skin instead of Georider's skin that's used for the rest of it. You probably noticed it as quick as i did, but i thought i'd point it out just in case.![]()

Yeah, that's alright, i just wanted to make sure it wasn't overlooked. BTW, are those rangefinding periscopes i see poking up through the commanders cupola? I just noticed them, their a nice touch.
Yup! And they will be added to the StuG as well. They will retract when the hatch opens and come back up when it closes.
The Observator P4 looks really good and nice of you that you decided to make the binocs for Stug. And all the new stuff will be released with attribs setup?

Uploaded an updated version (sorry) of the Stuart VI Recce that includes some fun new things I decided to try. Nothing was wrong with the original upload, but I would still recommend getting this new version as it is much better.
