10\10, but you try putting the vanilla skin on the vanilla stuart, then render it for me. and post what you get here.

I think once youve done that youll see what ive had to do.

And it has new front hatches, New front hatch obs scopes, New Tools, New Stowage, New Front Hull MG, Total Interior For Commander, Rear Muffler Box Removed off Default Chasis, Plus Hole From It Blanked Out, New Turret Ring Which required a nasty edit to the middle of the default Relic texture.

There were 5 Models we have never had a default intact uv map for, They corupt badly so badly that they all require a complete new uvmap, or completly need reuvmapping back onto the default texture. The models Are the Cromwell Kangaroo Bren gun Carrier and Stuart, Plus one of the hq Trucks. We now have only 4 without default uvmap intact, and i intend to do those aswell, plus make a stuart III & IV.

Id have thought you of all people would have realised i dont bother posting 5 minute jobs or posting for the hell of it, Obviously i was wrong.

Your work is awful (-ly good) and you should feel awful (-ly good).

Editing someone else's work is never easy, even when it appears like they've already done most of the work for you. I am not surprised that removing the turret, and adding a few extra details, required you to go back several more stages than expected.

Nice try, but Canadian Stuart VI's were not modified in this way.

    Finished product.

This will be the first release to come with attribs included. It still needs to undergo some testing and minor tweaks, but it is pretty much done.

On a related note, I think I've finally figured out a good way to handle textures, so I am going to go back and try to fix a lot of the darker textures in older models. It was all alpha related.

Also, here is the finished Autocar 75mm SP (aka 75mm GMC M3).

    The GMC looks awesome

some Details about the this vehicle
but it wasnt used in Normandy (only by French Army to the end of the War)

only in Italy and in the Pacific battles cause
the Japanese had less tank and where most be hidden in bunkers,
the GMc was used to fire on the positions directly

and the Recce doesnt look so good to me but thats just me

The British used the 75mm GMC M3 in Western Europe, which to them was known as the Autocar 75mm SP. Also, the gun could be used indirectly as well, as it was a field gun before being mounted.

So you also animated that you can either use it as SPG or AT Gun? If you could send me the files I can quickly make some attribs for you.

That he did, but I'm actually surprised that no obe has noticed it in any of the other M3 based mixes. I spotted it some time ago but never got around to fixing it, then I just forgot. I'll fix it tonight.

    Yes

Edit: and for the 75mm GMC M3
look like the germans copied the Concept of these Compination of Halftrack and AT gun later for the Sdkfz 251 with Pak 40
(it was produced at December 1944)

No plans for the 105mm HMC T19 at this time; they were not in use by the COH timeline and as mentioned before long range artillery is not a priority.

    @19.PzGrDiv
There are a lot of cases of one side copying the other, such as with the Bazooka being copied by the Germans or the British attempting to make casemate tank destroyers.

Well, the Americans also held off on tank development until the Blitzkrieg happened, at which point they decided it was probably a good idea.

thats the reason why i like the Normandy or 1943/44 more than this early war stuff

because the weapontechnology was on the highest stage of the whole war and every vehicle was posssible
like the 3,7 Pak or the PIV with short 7,5mm Cannon (was still used by some units in France 1944)

If Africa mod were still alive id be tempted into adding the 105 to the autocar, As it would also give me the incentive to skin my grant and m31 recovery tank plus Make a Stuart III. But as Eliw00d says theres little point because nearly all the mods around cover 1944 onwards, and from what ive read of the 256 T19 made most served in north africa and sicily, and all but 3 had been converted back to standard m3 halftracks by the end of 1943, as the Priest had taken it place .

  32. #1382
speaking of the grant tank, i thought a few Grant tanks did serve during normandy. if not normandy about 1000 of them served with the soviets throughout the war
A jagdpanther has a litter of 33 hetzers. 17 hetzers are eaten by at guns. What percentage of hetzers were blown to bits by at guns?

Some m31 recovery tank tanks were in use in western europe, as part of workshop units attached to armoured divisons i think.

The Stuart VI Recce and Autocar are really looking good, i really like all the extra storage on the Stuart VI Recce too. What does it's newly modelled interior look like?

AFAIK the Stuart III was still in use by Normandy, so that and the Stuart V would be good additions - as well as their Recce counterparts. When we have time, maybe we can look into early and mid war stuff, but there is still so much that needs to be done for just mid-1944 (COH timeline).

    @Lethal Dosage
I believe you are correct, they were usually in the Tank Company HQ, as well as M32 TRV's (based on the Sherman).

Also, hopefully this weekend medes and myself can start work on the Panther Ausf. D variant.

@ Letal Dosage - interiors a square box with a seat saw no need for more then that, But i have now mad the nrm spg and gls textures, with correct alpha on them, so that should lighten things up a bit and bring out the details on the extra stowage and new parts more, plus hopefully match the colour to the engine hatches. Ive done the same for the M2 and autocar, and will do so for the M21 and M5 aswell plus the Stummels given time. Also if im going to skin the M31 i might aswell skin the grant & DUKW as both have been waiting just as long, and the m31 would use the grant texture in a similar manner the bergetiger uses the tiger texture, alongside a crane\addons texture.

@ Eliwood,I think the engine hatch handle on the recce is missing from the mix, it runs right the way across the hatch and was part of the origional relic stuff that should have been kept, though it might just be the angle of the picture.

Medes and I have started some of the smaller projects that I have been hoping to accomplish, and so far the results are great!

    Panther Ausf. D (WIP):

It just needs a skin, but we might just try to fit parts of the Panther skin on it.

@Celestial - I will try but if it starts to mess up the general appearance of the turret due to stretching, i will end up putting it onto a seperate 512x texture along with the stowage ect. I fear that will probebly be necessarry anyway because ive found Georiders old stuart texture for the Allies and it appears t be an overall even green which may make things easier in hiding differances where the turret alliggns with the origional hull.

@Eli: nice. Btw. the D-versions (D1 ex. A and D production) are having only the two pipe versions of the exhaust.

The Relic Panther Ausf. A model has some extra pipes on it, not sure why. I only kept it that way because the Ausf. D and A have the same exhaust. However, it IS the two pipe version, just with extra pipes on the rear-left pipe.

It's not that important, only for knowing.

Only the later A model had those, the earlier not. That's the point, I think, why relic uses those more common variant.
