Welcome back, eliw00d! The Möbelwagen looks fantastic ingame, may I suggest the vCoH ostwind rate of fire on the Möbelwagen? Hows life going?

Only as much as they need to work, I don't want to spend too much time on them. But, these are the nearest to being done:

    PzKpfw Tiger Ausf. E (late)
    Flakpanzer IV Moebelwagen
    Jagdpanzer IV L/70 (Alkett)
    3,7cm FlaK 43

I don't know if I'll be able to get the trailer for the FlaK 43 done anytime soon, since that would require quite a bit of work. But, I would like to eventually get it done.

I'll have to look through my list and see what else is left to do and whether or not it could be done quickly and easily.

If you want to tune the rate of fire, you can edit the .rgo file and lower the speed of the firing animation.

Just open the .rgo in the OE and go to the Motion Tree. There, look under Weapon, FlaK43 and "fire". Click on "fire" and look for "play_speed" under Animation Properties. I have it set to 267% on the Moebelwagen/FlaK43 and I think 223% for the Ostwind (since the animation was Relic's and not mine).

The pink on the model is in the RGM , If you remember the exhausts plus fire exstinguishers i made for you were a seperate entity you could use on other models and had seperate textures with seperate nrm spc gls and dif, the part was called, New_ExhaustFor_Alt_BodyChunks .There were 2 options for exhaust this one and the origional wirblewind exhausts. (those were on the base model texture).

What you need to point at in the rgm for the exhausts in the picture (New_ExhaustFor_Alt_BodyChunks ) are the .

    Ax_PIV_Exhausts.dds
    Ax_PIV_Exhausts_gls.dds
    Ax_PIV_Exhausts_nrm.dds
    Ax_PIV_Exhausts_spc.dds
    pivExhaust_ocl.dds

I think the textures were in a rar i uploaded called new_exhausts_for_mixing along with a max with 2 differant types of panzer exhaust variant. The one in the picture and the multi outlet one with the 6 hexagonal vents on top.
Obviously the textures will be rgts once burned.

I have also got the following models finished with skin.

New Sturmpanzer late, all errors fixed new exhausts, plus stowage, with choice of 4 skins including the skin by slayer which i edited to fit the new model.
Mid sturmpanzer plus new exhausts, stowage, & choice of 3 skins.
The jagpanzer alkett which Eli already has with Inukshuks Skin plus i have 2 skins of my own.
The mobilwagon, plus the 37mm gun static, and trailer version.
A trailer version for the 20mm flak from the opel flak truck.
The GMC Truck with 50cal mount which i believe Eli has.
White Scout Car, Which i believe Inukshuk has skinned.

I also intend to skin\Finish the following within the next 3 to 4 months .(All are finished or 90% finnished apart from a couple which need a lot of work).

SAS Jeep With twin vickers k guns and stowage items (Has been finished for almost a year needs animating).
Vickers k gun Light MG version with Bipod, Been finished for a year plus, Needs animating).
Carriage version of SG43 (Finished Needs Animating)
Carriage version Of DHSK (Finished, Needs Animating)
    M3 Grant (Need To Skin).
DUKW (Need To Finish UV & Skin).
Ford GPa Amphibious jeep\Gaz46 (Not sure if inukshuk has skinned it or not).
AEC 75mm Armoured Car (Need to UV & skin).
252 Munitions carrier. (Need to uvmap onto 250 texture).
Pak 43 (Need To UV & Skin). Easy job but will be smaller scale then actual gun should be, i consider it to big for coh anyway.
Pak 43 on croix mount. (Need To UV & Skin).
StugIII/A/C/CD/G + Finnish All in 1, (UV 75% finished for differant versions. Small touch up to be done on the A model as sponson surround needs changing).
Panther\PIV mix command tank (Finished, been waiting for Animation for over a year). If this is wanted by anyone and anyones willing to animate, let me know, otherwise im recycling it.
M15A1 MGC (The twin 50 & 37mm AA halftrack, Finished but needs Animating). We are encountering problems with this, And i know Eli is fed up animating crew served vehicals, So if anyones willing to animate let me know.
Puma 234 with pak 40, (Needs UV & Skin) Easy job wont take long, Another crew served vehical so if anyones willing to animate once finished, let me know.
Challanger tank (UV & Skin Only half done may scrap it).
17lb archer (UV & Skin Only half done may scrap it).
British 40mm Bofors truck (Lot of work to finish).
British 20mm Oerlikon Plus vehical mounted version (No where near finished, barely started)
    SDKFZ/9 (Half Finished).
SDKFZ 251/17 (Needs Some UV & Texture Edits).
SDKFZ/10/4 (Needs Lot of work). Again crew served, will need someone to offer to animate when finished.
Panzer IV D (Eli has it, Dont know if he can be bothered with it now,Have 2 skins, European and North africa Colours).
37mm M1 AT Gun (Finished need to edit UV to fit Inukshuks texture plus add to the texture as my model has many more parts and details) Easy job.

I Know Eliw00d has his hands full with home life and other real life things. Plus im personally disintrested in modding at the moment.
Once a model is completly finished i will post a pic here and ask if its wanted, and if someone is willing to animate.
If i dont then recieve a pm within 2 weeks ill consider it unwanted and forget about it.

I wont be doing any more after the above are completed, though i may do the us 75mm and 105mm howitzer versions of the m3 halftrack, as i seem to have done every other m3 variant on earth i might aswell finish the series.

I am also going through all the older models correcting the occlusion textures and main textures finishing them correctly and sorting the alpha, ive done most of the allied stuff already, (I think i already posted the T48 and the Autocar in Lethal dosages COI thread). Once they are all done ill post them in one zip file here.

Skin wise i will provide what i consider to be basic textures with these, & all the others im finishing. so dont expect miricals.

No requests please because i wont be doing any more after these as my hearts no longer in it . And if i dont post for weeks on end its for that reason. But i will finish the ones ive listed above. As i dont like leaving loose ends lying around.

    hey guys,

I am working on skins for the Scott and the Sturmpanzer IV, and especially want to do new ( and proper ) normals specs an so on.
So far , so good. I would love to make an occlusionmap, too... but:
I wonder how you created the UV map channel for the Occlusion texture. As the tex is blank white, I assume, you didnt layout
( unwrap) channel 2? I tried to use the standard UV channel 1 unwrap for it , too.. but that does not seem to work , either.

Edit: DMz, I just read that you did a rework for the StuP IV? If so, and if you need a good occlusion for it, I could help you out with that...

The problem with the occlusion channels was my stupidity, i sent Eliw00d psd format after saving from tga, i should have flipped saved to dds with interloped alpha and then converted it to rgt and replaced it after compile, But being stupid and unknowing at the time i didnt, All the newer models including the autocar sp work fine with theyre occlusions, and the reworked sturmpanzer will work fine too,
(I have now redone 90% of the earlier models aswell, which in most cases will just mean overwriting the exsisting rgt with the new ones ive made).

Your post reminded me i have to upload the thing/ mid and late for Eli anyway, so i suppose ill have to trawl through my folders and find the relevant difs normals and spcs gls ect that ive made grrrr :/

Lets face it when i did most of these i was pretty rubbish at textures and basically hadnt a clue.

Below is an idea of what ive redone most of the rnms spc and difs to in jpg format, it will give you a rough idea of what i will upload to replace the origional mess i created. Im using the new reworked mid sturmpanzer as the example as some of the textures were at hand

Good to see both of you are getting back to some of the models. I hope the real life stuff at home isn't anything too bad, Eli. It's unfortunate that your both getting kinda burnt out working on all this, you guys have been a huge help for the community, but don't get ahead of yourself and bite off more than your able to chew. Keep it simple, one thing at a time, and don't force yourselves to spend too much time at it. Take breathers, play CoH and/or people's mods, and just go back to enjoying this good old game. Play other games, hell get a deck of cards or teach the kids some sport (and hope they don't end up teaching you).

Basically, what i'm getting at, is leave the modelling, the animating, the modding for a while, and just enjoy other things. I know sometimes i'd get burnt out and not touch CoH for a month or more, certainly not mod more than a month. Sometimes i wouldn't touch the computer (except to browse the internet) for weeks at a time. But after a while, i'll either get an idea that i just have to mod at that very moment, or something will be released that i'll just have to add straight away, or i'll simply start playing CoH and get in the mood to mod for a bit. Just don't forget to take breaks. If you find yourself getting tired of working on something, just go back to playing the game, or do something entirely different. Don't just move from that project to another. No matter what you do, CoH is addictive enough that you will eventually come back... i've been working on Cross of Iron for longer than i care to count, it's got to be at least 3 years, so i can relate to losing interest and that burnt out feeling.

In regards to DMz' leaving being the end of the project: I will try to find some time to finish up the finished models that DMz has left me to work on, but after that there won't be any new models for a while until we find a dedicated modeler and skinner. Honestly, I would prefer if someone else animated as well, as I would rather focus on coding for FE.

I will send the sturmpanzers to Eli, they at least are finished apart from spc and gls, im sure you can make those better and faster then i could, Eli can then decide if he will animate them or give them to someone else. Ill also upload all the newer spc gls nrm ocl and dif files ive fixed for all the models i made with Eli Last year. Once i sort them into some sort of reasonable order.(Same goes for the sturmpanzers too tbh).

I would also be willing to upload the AEC 75mm armoured car if someones willing to uvmap and skin it, Apart from that its finished. I have a 37mm at gun m1 which is basically finished but will need animating. The stug iii is the only model i will continue to work on till finished, and i will pop in to upload that when it is finally finished.

Inukshuk can still skin it if he wishes. But i really have no desire to start anything new or do any more then that. It doesnt mean i wont be browsing the forum or post here. It just means that i think enough is enough and its time to call it a day. But after those final pieces i really will not model any more. I may skin if im exceptionally bored, as i found that side of things actually relaxes me, just as coding relaxes Eli and Sweeten. If anyone fancys a game of vanilla coh im on regularly Just look for Boycey999 I may even consider playing a mod lol .

PS : Inuksuk did you ever skin the white scout car and ford gpa amphibious jeep\gaz, If you did give the GPA to pacific mod please, as they have waited an age for it. The white im not sure what you should do with .

@Eliwood Ask TD Or one of the others if they be willing to animate the Mobile Flak plus static version, no point in you doing stuff youve lost intrest in, Im not sure how far you got with the alket jp, but im sure one of the others could do that for you to.

The StuG I will skin for sure. Whenever you can send me the final max.

It's sad to see you moving onto better things DMz, but we all do. Best of luck in everything you do from here on, regarless of what it is. I hope to see you around from time to time, and i'll definately take you up on that offer of a game sometime.

Don't work too hard at it Eli, take it easy and try to balance the two. If you focus on pumping out the easy models that require little to no animating, and do only 1 every month or so, i'm sure you'll get through them without sacrificing FE coding time or losing interest in ainmating those models.

I would not say that this project is cancelled, just looking for new management. With DMz retiring, there are no dedicated modelers to the project and I have pretty much reached the limit of my continued interest in animating, so I am also going to "retire". I learned quite a lot, especially from Darkblade and Tankdestroyer, but in the end I am not very good at it and it gets tiring and frustrating. On top of that, it is hard to find other interested modelers or animators to help, so I think someone more capable should be responsible for the project. I feel much more comfortable programming, and need to help finish Fortress Europe. So, if anyone is interested, I would be happy to share our working files, with the caveat that any work done on them must be released publicly.

Who told you you wernt very good at animating ? youve always done allright as far as i was concerned. I think tbh we learnt a lot doing this, both of us came on a long way, and to say you were no good at it is daft.

I do agree with @DMZ, that's a wrong statement. You, and of course @DMZ, did a great job. I think, you are the only one, they is unsatisfied with the results. So it seems to be highly important, that you take a time out or do other things then modeling/animating.

I may at some point consider importing Men of War models, if someone can walk me through how to do it, as that would definitely make up for the lack of a modeler. I know that burtondrummerNY is working on some, so perhaps we can have a joint venture down the road.

Rest assured, I had no intention of doing anything without permission. I sent an e-mail to clarify some things, as I've heard conflicting reports on the usage of their models.

Some MoW models look great in CoH indeed, but some aren't of such good quality. Nonetheless, you are a fantastic Animator eli, see what you've done here in the Ammo Box, and what you have released!

If you're going to use Mow models. Rip them out of Assaul squad, many are updated. Also, wonder if you could do a M10 with turret back 50 cal gunner :P

I had plans to add a .50 to the M10 and M36B1, but forget why I stopped. I think I just got frustrated with the positioning of the gun and that the gunner was floating in the air, essentially.
