I decided to public release some interesting coding work, new models and GUI icons. Feel free to use this in your mod, just give a little credit.
squadAI fix (units no longer/much less likely jumping out of cover) - download
Well this is a problem many people have faced over the years. AGameAnx and I have tried numerous things and this was our most successful to stop Infantry Squads from jumping out of cover without any order. squadAI files are files that make units behave more realistic, as if they were real soldiers. I never understood why Relic still made them search for cover while they already were in cover.
Anyway, install this folder in the Data\squadai folder inside your ModFolder.
Unit Icons - download
These icons are the following units, and all have an icon, symbol and portrait:
- Staff Sergeant
- Waffen SS
- Commando Sniper
- MG42 Heavy Machine Gun (Panzer Elite)
Note: The quality looks worse on a blank background than they do ingame.
Improved Rank Icons - download
These will replace all rank icons shown in the Game Lobby to more detailed and shiny versions. A notepad is included with the fixed .ucs values to match the ranks. Just make a search for one of them and then replace it in your .ucs file.
Please note that the American and Wehrmacht rank icons are made by Relic, but are unused in vCoH. I recolored the Wehrmacht ranks to make the Panzer Elite ones. The Commonwealth ranks are my own version of the vCoH Commonwealth ranks.
ui_selection - download
This will remove all the rings around infantry/vehicles/buildings when you select them. Install the whole folder inside DataAttrib\attrib\.
ui_territory - download
This will remove all territory borders. Install the whole folder inside DataAttrib\attrib\.
M7 Priest Track Fix - download
These files will fix the tracks of the M7 Priest, making them rotate and synchronize with the wheels again. Thanks to Jagdpanther who sent the working files. Extract the folder in ModFolder\Data\art\models\races\commonwealth\vehicles, and change the animator of the entity_blueprint in the ebps of the priest to Races\Commonwealth\Vehicles\M7_Priest\Priest.
Another interesting (unused) state of the M7 Priest is the upgrade_armor_state (which is the state_machine_name, and the do_action_machine_name is on or off, by default this state is turned on).
M4 Sherman Cutter - download
This thing has been made a while ago by Darkbladecr, but I totally forgot it untill 2 days ago and I made a quick skin for it. It's kinda crappy now but it might get improved in the future, and hopefully someone can make a normal for me. it can be applied through an animator_set_state which is called cutter_upgrade. A ReadMe is included.

The 105mm leFH 18/40 German Howitzer, It's a complete package including user interface icons. It's buildable when you unlock the 88mm Flak 36 AT/AA in the Defensive Commander Tree with a cost of 450 mp and 65 fuel. It gains veterancy if you purchase the veteran vehicles (same as the 88). It's buildable exactly like the m2a1 105mm Howitzer.
You can use any of these files, just give credit to the persons involved. So for the icons that's just me, but for the M4 Sherman Cutter don't forget to credit Darkbladecr too.
