The only changes that you'll need to make is add a crew_ext with the tank_commander setup (copy from a Firefly or Villers_bocage_tiger), and in the action_apply_ext there'll be the animator_set_states to turn the commander on.
OK so nothing like unit stats (damage output, etc) have been changed? Only the stuff from Celestial's Tiger tiger commander tutorial?

right, the models here are released in as much vanilla state as possible.
Alright since none of the stats were changed and only the commander was added, I have tried this Pershing out with standard online MP play. Just in case anyone is interested, as with the Tiger commander, this also works; no sync error.

Well it's good to hear that small attrib changes like the crew, etc. won't cause sync errors online, i know that editing all the vehicles to use a variety of vehicle crews is possible for online play as i did it for Slayerknechts Skin Mod, so i very much looking forward to the next step, that being more correct custom models as well as skins for online play.

I havent tried that out myself, but I hoped that it could work.
So the (upcoming) jagdpanther commander will be very likely to work online as well... and the Kingtiger with Productionturret, too.

yea, if you want to use the King Tiger production model, you would definately need to add an MG42 to the turret (not a commander), otherwise it could cause major sync errors :S
Will the KT production version have a tank commander? I was always hoping for a KT version without one, with the commander hatch closed.

depends on your choice.. the KT has a commander, but in the right position.

If you'd like, I can make you an RGO that allows for a state change between the Henschel and Porsche versions. Something like "turret_state" and "henschel" or "porsche". Then, we would just need to model mix your turret (unless there are changes to the hull or chassis) with the Relic one.
Also, if yours has a Commander in the correct place, does it also have a marker for a coaxial MG?

The KT was done quite a while ago , and as I know TD,
he wants to move on and not return to the old projects again..
and honestly, I dont see the sense.. it would be a new model anyway,
so no advantages on the polycount or data loaded side...
I think you misunderstood me. I'm just saying we'd use your (and TD's) model and mix it with the Relic one so that someone can simply change a state to get either version, instead of having separate models.
Or is there more work done to it than just the turret?

What kind of advantage does that have instead of choosing between two models?
If you set the state or edit the animator, isnt that almost the same?
It's like your M36, you made a new turret model, but TD changed some states so only the M36 turret is shown. I'm just saying that if only the turret is new, we could do the same thing, but allow for a state change to decide which one to use.
The advantage isn't in performance, just making more use of a single ABP. It's more versatile. But, if you don't see a point to it, that's okay. It was just a thought.

it also means less faffing around with alpha-layers etc...on the original model if the meshs are controlled with states. either, good job, looking forward to eli's 50.cal addon for it too.

@AMS: the commander upgrade has to be applied to the ebps. But ther is a working one inclued in the dl.
@Khorney: No, thats not correct. In both there is no need messing around with alphas.
Either way, you wont have one model, there always will be two. The original one is not affected. It just means a whole bowl of more work for the animator with no
remarkable gain in anything...but more potential flaws.
So... let me get this straight (You guys talk a lot of model-tech I don't get- you are going to make a Henchel Tiger II, usable in online play (Automatch)? If that IS indeed what you say- you have made my day

Actually I think it could work, as long as the battle stats aren't changed. For example I think even if it does not have a top mg42 visually, as long as the stats still reflect the mg it will be fine. So you could end up in a situation where you have a production version KT that has no mg visually but still dishes out the top mg damage. "Invisible MG".

Hello Halftrack and tank Destroyer,
I wish to tell you what I did with your Sherman 105mm, which Required a few upgrades to get it, First being the 76mm gun upgrade and i made another gun upgrade that required the 76mm gun upgrade but unlocks the tank in question.
What I also did was to give the gun the range of 120 (almost double a US mortar team's range which is 75) also gave it a min Distance of 20 (I think this may go up to 30), turned off the "Auto Search" For targets, added in a Direct Fire (which Effectively made this user aimed). Slowed down the Shell too, speed to 15 from what ever it was before and set the acceleration to 30. Put A cap of only one allowed on the field and am debating whether to put it on a long build time or not And to change the Shell Damage a bit.
But as it I have it Set up now makes for a medium ranged Good VS Infantry (which btw destroys them in one shot if it lands on them ), Bunkers, Civlian Building's or other types of Emplacements (like those pesky Flak 88's) it's like a short/medium ranged Howziter but more mobile. I'd use the Priest for this job but i think that Us Armour Div needed this one and besides the Priest is in the British Faction and they need it there.
I think this is a Very great Model And i'm Glad you guys made it so well.
