I could give finally 12 kinds of panther's skin for my mod.
Wow, you don't waste much time Slay, where-ever do you find so much time to work on all these? I have trouble just finding the time to do a couple hours of modding or have a game each night.
For those interested, i'm compiling a list of states used by Slay's random vehicle models so you can set an entity to use one specific skin for that model instead of it being random. I know that it's not exactly the sort of thing people think of doing when they get models that allow random skins, but it's a great idea for mods to cut back on the number of models used for various allt he various skinned variations. For instance, with the Panzer IV random skin model, i've managed to cut back from using 6 copies of the Panzer IV models to just 3. I'll release the list (with Slay's permission) as soon as he slows down.
I love those skins.

And I'd love to see what you do with the Allied tanks as well. I quite like seeing a Sherman which is covered in trees and some sandbags as well.

Excellent work with the random skins. I have test all these and I have some observations.
1. you must seperate the random panzers IV for each faction axis and PE , because community skinners have made too much good skins but not all can be used for stuby
2. It will be better to use 2 random variations for panzers and 3 for stug's panzer IV and Hetzers
3. Are you plan to make sdkf 251 and sdkf 234 and if you planing that make 4 random skins for each.

No there's no real timescale, but I just uplaoded it, Sherman files aswell.
Found a nice way to reduce the amount of work: Instead of editing the whole model RGO I add an empty model set which only contains the Skinchange stuff to the abp.

Just one question: Would it be possible to include the use of different wreck textures as well?
That would be possible, but it requires as those are in another RGM texture group it requires additional work and I'm too lazy atm.
@slayerknecht: Where did you find the skins that are in the pictures for the riflemen and paras?
These are WIP versions of my own skins. Older versions of tehse are in my complete package.

1) Yes all three versions of the Sherman will choose out of 4 different skins.
2) Should be compatible as no attrib stuff is touched.
love your work Slay but i've got a pb with the panther random skin. it've got always rgo files missed. i re-install and retry and re-install but i've got always the same pb...
there is no pb with the others ( sherman , pz IV, stug etc)
i don't understand where is the pb.

Yeah I see, in my skin setup I have the Panther addons by MrScruff installed, this line is still in the abp. Open the panther.abp with wordpad and delete these two lines:

May I ask what the decals_rv are? I have the panther_decals, but never saw these?
Oh that file is responsible for the random appearence of the addon. I added an on/off state in Scruff files which is randomly activated/deactivated through the decals_rv file (RV = Random Variation). So some Panther's have that stuff and some not.

Just place in the races/axis folder and your textures in the races/axis/soldiers/sahred_textures folder (tex_ax_wehrmacht2/3/4)

God Slay, you take a pause from releasing these random models, and now your overflowing with releases! Nice to see your moving onto the Allied side, however Commonwealth skins are going to be relatively hard to find in the community with there being only a handful of skinpacks with commonwealth vehicle skins. I am very surprised to see the P47 though as I never thought i'd see that, but it's a very welcome idea. It's good that you broke from tradition and included some of Sig's skins, as P47 skins are also very rare, the only ones that come to mind are the ones Georider did some time ago. Hopefully you'll do random skins models for the remaining Typhoon & Henschel sometime in the future, and maybe for MrScruff's excellent Ju-87 Stuka as well!
For Typhoon I think there's are altogether just two skins if I remember right, one by Geo and one from Sig. Also US/CW ground forces still lack of variations. But let's see what the future will bring.
And if you still want to show how to use certain skins via state activation feel free to do so .
I'm not sure about Sig's skins, as i haven't seen any of his around (at least not in quite some time), but i know Geo has done 3x P47 skins and 2x Typhoon ones (the Typhoons were released together in one pack). There are also a handful of Henschel skins, but i haven't been able to find more than one from any author.
I'm still in the process of updating my CoH Vehicle States list with the useful states of all the new models, but i'll post an update in my How To thread in the coming weeks, and i'll post a link here for those modders who make good use of your random skin models.

For some reason I can't download the Tommies and the Commandos... the download starts, and then a message shows up saying it couldn't find the file. Odd.
I've experienced that the Panther random skin model has a broken Pintle MG.
Essentially, the Pintle MG and gunner doesn't rotate towards targets, instead only ever pointing forwards with the turret.
Can someone reupload the Tommies and the Commandos somewhere else then Filefront? Please?

Jes, that's a problem with Relic's Panther model, it's not just the random skins model of Slayerknechts. Other Relic model problems include;
1. The Sdkfz 251's rear MG pointing in the opposite direction it's tracers fire,
2. The KT's roof MG missing the arm support that holds the MG,
3. The KT's roof MG being locked to the direction the main gun points.
4. The Sdkfz 250 and KT engine hatches don't return to normal when a damaged engine is repaired.
5. the Marder III and King Tiger's main guns don't reset back into place when a destroyed main gun critical is repaired.
I'm sure there's more too, their just the ones i remember.

I installed all the tank models to using the installer but now all the tanks which use the new skins are pink and green and have no skin?
Please could someone tell me where i am going wrong?
Are the skins not included in some of the downloads?

Skins are just in those packages for which it is stated (I'm too lazy to upload 4Mb instead of 40kb).
but that means i actually have to do something....

Hmm im still having the same problem took some shermans from this mod http://www.cohmods.com/western-front...n-mod-t10.html
and then put one (like CB CA CROC) into each models folder, then i select the skininstaller select and the coh steam directory link to the sherman data folder.
But when i look at a replay the skin does not show... what am i doing wrong do i need to un archive the arts.sga folder?

quick update i got it working but i cant seem to get the allied shermans to work correctly

The functioning model (not the random) was using the wehr state.
