When I read the title I thought you'd lost your virginity.
Still, Lego + Adobe Premiere = cool.

I have difficulty believing this is real.

Same. you can tell by the movements that it is fake. It moves to fast, complicated to be real. Robotic walking/balance has never come close enough to make one of these. Sorry.
FAKE

Looks fake to me.. especially the dim light tracking test.

The car stopping test told me all that i needed.
[EDIT] the light tracking test was only for show. Nothing was done, only bright lights pointed at your head.
And why the hell did it have wheels in its shoulders... dont tell me balance...

herm. I've actually seen robotic arms move that way. or even faster, and more precise. todays industrial robots used to assemble cars, or do the wiring on mainboards are quite entertaining to watch. their movements are incredibly fluid, fast and precise.
the one where he stops the car is the one I'd be sceptic, but the dexterity test is not only doable, but surpassable.

It's just terrible. It isnt even remotely believable.
I suppose some people might find it funny trying to pass that off as real, but it just seems kinda weak to me.
Perhaps they werent even trying to be funny, but I wouldnt imagine they would expect many people to take it seriously.
It's fake.
Just watch the battery test video, if you can get it to load.

oh lighten up Kovac..
You guys remember the fake VW transformer movie from a couple of years ago?

Still, someone won't just make a site of such scale for a hoax.

I have seen how automotives are constructed and while some arms have reached such speeds they did not have a heavy payload at the end of the arm (as this robot did)Originally posted by Dimension

o and look at the car stoping test. Then take it frame by frame when the car comes in. I dont know but the way the car first enters strikes me as odd...
[EDIT] i wont belive it untill my house get assaulted by 10 of these...

so, you all who said this is fake, do you actually have any PROOF? i find the whole "stealth" marketing thing almost as far-fetched as the car stop. the other videos i've seen except that one are credible, as I've seen similar things or better things in TV documentaries or when seeing assembly lines on a field trip.
splitstar, i don't quite see where in any of the videos the arm moves exceptionally fast. do you mean the screwdriving motion? because that was relatively slow as well.
reki, that video kicks ass
*edit, after sifting through the site and reading the text, i agree that with the lack of manpower available, this is most likely a fake. pity though, i'm pretty sure that such a robot is possible. minus the transforming part that is.

Hah. Yes, yes they will. There've been plenty of large scale hoaxes over the years.Originally posted by Tel'Quessir

Well, I had to pinch this from the slashdot conversation, but it seems like pretty good proof:Originally posted by Dimension

Interesting to note, as well, that the video most people have been claiming looks the most fake (the battery test) has mysteriously disappeared..

i haven't seen that one actually. what happened in the battery test?
Are you also a part of the Penny Arcade Forums?? Some guy posted this same topic a day or two ago. How in the hell do you dig up something like this??Originally posted by Cuallito
