tankdestroyer's helmet volksgrenadier model mix, does anyone have it? I asked him personally if he had it and he does not, so I was told to ask here. I'd appreciate it! thank you

The original version which just displayed both helmet and cap, or the version which also had the random skin variation?

The first package has the original helmeted Volks model (the Grenadier model files in the package), and the second package includes what is AFAIK the last version of the Volksgrenadier skin variation model (GrenadierSV).

Im kinda noob but how do you apply that skin? is it only for OP and TOV??

James, i'm afraid it's something for modders to use in their mods, it's not something that someone that drop into a skinpack and use. Those are the model files i posted above, after added them into a mod and linking the desired .abp files to the models, you'd then have to find and edit Volksgrenadier skins to work with the models.

You need some experience modding CoH with the Mod Studio, be familiar with the folder layout used for the models and skins, and be familiar with using the Mod Studio to convert skins to .DDS format, editing them in a program like Photoshop or GIMP, and converting them back for use in CoH. It takes some time to learn to do these things, an is not something quickly and easily explained or done.

I've been looking for that Volksgrenadier skin, the one with the helmet ) The picture captured my eye. How'd you exchange the driver Volk with the squad member? I'd love to get a copy, but I don't mod. I did try the Corsix thing, and trust me, I screwed up. Can any of you guys send me the skin?

It's a modified model Tankdestroyer released long ago, that has the helmet and cap visible at the same time. The skin is then modified by removing either the parts used for the helmet or cap, depending on which you want, so that only the one left on the skin is visible ingame.

I'm afraid i don't have a copy of a Volksgrenadier skin with the cap removed (so only the helmet is visible), and as i'm not a skinner, i wouldn't be able to release someone else's work without their permission. Most mods that add new skins and/or models surely use some variation of the Volksgrenadier skin with just the helmet, you should be able to extract it from your favourite mod (for private use) without hassle. I can say for certain the the Cross of Iron mod has a few such skins.
