    Sounds cool Melooo!! I was just looking for a closer to codex mod with a playable campaign. I still havent played through ss campaign :/
    I was thinking of installing dowxp again but I'm not to sure what state its in for ss. The forum thread is looking pretty neglected and it seems as if the mod has been abandoned...
    Hope this will be bigger than Fok!!

    Can I ask what the Land raider variants are?

    For the Campaign being workable i need a lot of recode, mainly renaming most of the already present stuff ensuring that the campaign runs without CTDs

    About Land Raider Variants, well i have the same models as FoK (Regular, Crusader, Redeemer, Prometheus, Ares WIP) and the Helios which was done by medes and zany reaper, although im planning to do my own without any restrictive use, ei usable by anyone including FoK.

    Im also working on Chaos models to raise their quality standards to the same level of SM and BT ones.....Horus did a major part of all this, im just finishing what he started

    So the mod aims to make the game to bring the game closer to the codex, and the units will be free to use by other mods. What will make this mod different from FoK? I understand you want to make your own mod in your own vision, but can you tell us about the changes that make it different from what FoK already is?

    FoK has decided that sticking to the codices and rulebook as if they were the word of the Emperor makes for an unbalanced mod, so FoK will be deviating from codex stats and costs in order to help create a more balanced mod. Melooo would rather have codex over balanced and fun, which is why he left and so he is now creating this mod.

    @Sparda: Thats not entirely true since i was in favor on some of the changes for balance while i was in fok...and in any case it would be just the tip of the iceberg, my reasons for leaving FoK go beyond just that..which i will not talk about it here.

    Im sure that in time FoK and Purgation of Kaurava will look more different

    You have to keep the faith in the man that teached some things to the mighty Medes. Sure Meloo is going to do a great work. Remember he has done about 75% of the code of FOK 3.6 and some skins and models.

    this is the chaos space marine model that was being worked by Horus which was missing some final touches and a TC texture, i also added some extra details for Marked armies, when you select a Mark for your army at the HQ the models will change their appearance showing their new chaos god alignment

    Well if you want you can use mine, i just modified the SM deepstrike beacon of SS campaign to look like the teleport homer miniature xD

    Nice model, Melooo. But may I suggest to remove Chaos Star from the sides of the chassis as this are places for badge.

    well the texture i have has the badge on the top part of the hull, doesnt look bad, that chaos star can be replaced by god icons as well

    Are you going to keep the Chaos Mark System or are you going to introduce some changes in Marks?
    I am thinking in a something like traits to represent the diferent traitor chapters, in adition to the five Marks.

    Ok. Then, let see some ideas.

    First: Iron warriors (3rd edition) as a sneak peak of what could come.
    "The only mark can bear is Undivided"
    May not include any Daemons, apart from Daemon Princes and possessed Marines"
    As it says.

    "Siege Specialist skill"
    ¿????

    "Obliterators. the normal 0-1 limitation does not apply to them"
    As it says, again.

    "Iron warriors are characterised by their heavy equipment"
    Four heavy support , One fast attack.

    "Iron Warriors have learned to capture and re-construct Imperial equipment"
    Basilisk adittion. (Maybe other tanks?)


    "Iron warriors are technically gifted and may use Servo Arms"
    Techmarines with some modeling and texturing love, add as a leader in the same way of standard bearer.

    What do you think?

    well i think we can make those legion "traits" more in accordance to 5/4th ed akin to SM Chapter Tactics, in 3rd ed Iron warriors was the best option for power gamers due to obvious reasons, being able to field up to 4 obliterators or having the options of vindicators and basilisks was much better than any of the other legions options.

    Since in 4th ed, obliterators no longer have a limit to 1 and vindicators are regular HS option. We could resume IW traits in availability of "Warsmiths", basically lords with servoarms, being able to repair stuff as much as use it as a weapon.

    BTW 4th ed codex fluff says that obliterators were once techmarines that got obsessed with heavy weaponry, i think a new obliterator model is in order to reflect that :P, think of a chaos techmarine but with a servo harness full of weaponry.

    im still figuring out how to make the chaos techtree, since im planning to add more diversity with legion traits and stuff, also the AI has some issues with the Marks dunno why, a problem that was/is in FoK as well

    loving the mutated hull and daemonic possession. the pintle mounted gunner would he be able to get the possessed marine's head when it gets those upgrades? or is that not possible?

    Possible is, but is rather complicated, i just made the hatch look like a Sarlacc mouth, much simpler and dont require extra animations.

    BTW the AI issue with the chaos marks has been fixed , i could say i've been trying to find a fix for this since FoK 3.5 :/....anyway that solved i can now move on and start making up the chaos techtree, i'll start it once im done setting the Warsmith servo arm for the lord model pics will come soon

    yep, there is also custom looks for the other legions

    So the idea for Traits:

    IW: Lords and Lieutenants can get servo arms, allowing them to repair stuff as well as use it as "power fist". Cultist are replaced by some sort of tech-militia...dont expect something too fancy as a full traitor guard army xD, just basic infantry squads with upgrades and maybe 0-1 artillery, No Daemons.

    AL: Commanders and basic troops can infiltrate, cultists get some special stuff as well, weapon upgrades and squad leader with special stuff, not sure what exactly yet, Daemons require cultists.

    WB: Normally Daemons are restricted to 0-3 squads, Word bearers wont have this limit. Cultists remain the same.

    NL: Stealth (15% ranged dmg received reduction) and Night Vision (increased spotting sight range), no Daemons

    Just a random suggestion, for when you get to imperial guard (feel free to ignore my stupidity). If your going to continue over the FoK style 'armies', perhaps make a fourth one? I mean, instead of armor, inquisitorial and Infantry, perhaps try and make a 'renegade/traitor' Guard there. Not sure how really, just a random suggestion, perhaps replacing specialised leman Russ with things like Stalk tanks, ogryns with spawn or similar and perhaps a squad or two of basic Chaos Marines as elites...

    Ok fine I admit it, I've been looking over the old lost and the damned codex, and missed the option of fielding hundreds of zombies.
