    I wouldn't mind a chaplain who starts out with a chainsword. The power axe could be crozius-ified, couldn't it? and even if it couldn't. The Apoth looks just so boring, I would love to have a chaplain even without the crozius.

    Shuma, do you by chance have .model files of the "standard" Tac/ASM Sergeants (Veteran/Vanguard helmet) with their respective backpacks? Couldn't find this among your released works, but with all the editing you've done, there's the possibility that those combinations exist as an unreleased WIP stage

    So after reading a bit of Chaplain fluff i decided to make a version for the Apoth after all, in the fluff it actually says that Chaplains prefer to use their Crozious Weapon, but it doesn't say anywhere that that's the only weapon they use, the Power Axe WILL be replaced by the Crozious.

    You mean the model files that replace the generic marine's helmets with those of the veterans(the ones in the campaign)? No i don't, but THJT-9 has done this:

    The spoilers don't work right now so you can't see the pictures, but they're better than Relic's imo. I could also do them but you'd have to wait until i'm done with the Chaplain. Or am i thinking of something completly different?

    Anyway, here's a preview for the Terminator Chaplain:



    The model is done, now it's just the textures. This one is unfortunately only for modders because otherwise all Terminators would look like this and as cool as that'd be i like to keep things fluffy, BUT you will get something similar to this in the future for the Force Commander, as a hint, there's 2 extra chapters that i plan to do for the Space marines that i didn't show with the Helmet's sketch.

    And since i know someone is going to say it, the Cape will be optional, and why the cape? Well my logic is this: Getting Terminator Honors is a big deal, so a Chaplain with Terminator Honors is probably a Reclusiarch(higher rank of Chaplain) or even a Master of Sanctity(highest Chaplain rank), so there has to be a way to make this guys stand out besides sticking purity seals and skulls on every inch of their armor, so i thought about giving him a cape.

    Also, the face is a bit different, the eyes are red, and changed the expression so that he looks more pissed off instead of having that smile the power armored chaplain has, you know to make it look more imposing. Anyway, after i'm done with this, i'll make a jump pack for the Chaplain, the Apothecary Chaplain and then the Helmets for the Force Commander.

    Once you done with chappy terminator can you revist the apoth chappy model because it would be cool to have him as a chappy + you can replace his power axe with the chaplains power weapon just a hint

    Ah, that's a shame. Should've spelled out their explicit names to avoid confusion (assault_marine_sgt_nobackpack and space_marine_sgt_nobackpack). Thanks for the recommendation, unfortunately THJT-9 uses the regular helmet for Tacs, and there appears to be a texture issue where the ASM Sgt. helmet won't be lit properly. Seems to be another task that can't be done without modelling tools... trying to add the backpack by replacing the armour_items unlocks fails due to both kinds of Sergeants using the same items... curses!

    Those tiny skulls on the shin plates do seem wasteful... coming from those 'Veteran' helmets, those have a skull marking on the forehead that seems to be only a texture (with a bump/normal map for the 3d-look). Maybe that could be an option here.
    Only other suggestion would be some of those scripture assets from the Librarian armour... at least one
    Still, this guy is certainly a mean bastard on par with the CL.

    As much as i like fluff, all my terminators looking like this would be SO FREAKING BADASS, but never mind :P Great work shuma, really like this one, and cant wait to have my boring old Apoth replaced by angry chaplain. can i make one suggestion for the new chaplain? cn his silver textures be a bit darker, they seem a bit too happy shiny along wikth his bright yellow eyes, maybe dim him down a bit to fit in with the res of the army?

    I am baseing my reason off the Picture of the Chaplain from the picture from gamesworkshop + the same one i have made that i cant wait to use ingame that shuma has posted a pic of love that armor but the skull appears to be slightly larger inorder to fit the armor better

    Wow Shuma, looks fantastic, do you think you can do something to just the regular Force Commander as well? Such as adding that cloth that's between the Chaplain's legs to the FC's model? I know you've done helmets for the FC but I think he deserves a little something extra to make him stand out just a bit personally. Up to you though

    If what I think is right, because Shuma will use animation from Chaos Lord.

    To do your request with FC, I think Shuma will need animation of Librarian like he do with Chaplain.


    And I so sure it may can't be done because Librarian may not have animation of two-hand range weapon.

    I believe he might mean the lack of shaders on the Warlock armour.

    Or he implemented another armour, but it's not showing, and only Shumas helmet is showing.

    Ah, that problem, I had that too. So here's what I know:

    primulhuntchaos's mod makes all armors look like the epic armors, and shuma's mod makes only changes the rank 60 armor. You could open up the Dow2.module file ( I recommend using notepad ++) and reorder the entries putting the warlock's .sga file above primalhunt's mod's sga. However, the problem with this solution is that you'd still have to be level 60 to use Shuma's warlock.

    Another solution would be to change the order in the dow2.module file AND to edit shuma's warlock sga with an sga reader, I recommend corsix's Sga thingy or whatever it's called.

    Yeah it's a compatibility problem, the only thing you can do is hope that primalhuntchaos makes a compatible version with my Warlock.

    Anyway, progress has been slow since i've been playing Minecraft with the folks here at Relic News, and Dead Rising 2 and Front Mission evolved came out on Steam but the Chaplain's textures are mid way there so at the latest he would be ready this weekend, but i hope to have him ready and start work on the Force Commander helmets before weekend.

    @Drone:

    Trintong has it right, the Terminator Chaplain uses the Terminator Chaplain's animations. For the animations thing, here's the rule:

    When replacing a model i have to use said model's animations and nothing more, as seen with my Power Armored Khorne Lord it ends up with lots of bugs.
    When doing one for modders i can use any animations in the game, but they have to be an existing set of animations.

    Unless Relic releases an official model importer/exporter we cannot and will never ever be able to make our own animations. That said i've never done animations in my life either, but hey, i'd try to learn if Relic releases a model importer/exporter.

    @ salamander, ive put on Primalhuntchaos's mod page asking him to bring out an update using some of Shuma's modes (the Warlock and teh Tzeentch marines) so people that arnt lvl 60 can use the epicness that is these mods hes already done it for the Farseer, the Aspiring champion and theWarp Spider Exarch commander, it all looks pretty sweet

    This guy *is* finished(minus weapons), except now when i export the model his cape and head cables disappear, why? Beats me, he exported correctly before so i'll see if i can fix it. Worst case scenario i'd just give him the Chaos Lord's cape and retexture it, point is he's almost finished. I've also done some tweaks to the power armored Chaplain's textures, mainly so that his shiny bits don't glow like miniature stars so when i'm done with this people will get an update version of the Librarian replacing Chaplain, a Librarian that replaces the Apoth and Modders will additionally get the Terminator Chaplain and a jump pack for him.

    Ok, I have a problem when i try to export a 3d file with santos tools 2, when i try i have this message: "-Unknow proprety: "variables" in wire_1741862:Standard"
    and i can't export 3dsmax files to .model files...
    What can i do.

    the chaplain looks awesome shuma but 1 thing could be changed the symbols etc. on the robe, would be cool if there are some sentence's with a gothic font and some real aquilas?

    Sorry Salamander, i've never encountered that problem so i can't help you.

    Anyway, the Chaplain is done, weapons, jumppack and all. I just need to make him in a format for modders and make the one for the public. Took a long time because for each problem i found and fixed two more popped up, i eventually gave up and got rid of the cape i had made so he now has a retextured version of the Chaos lord cape. Anyway, i'll upload the 3 versions later today, an updated one that replaces the Librarian, one that replaces the Apoth and one for modders with Terminator Armor and Jump Pack included.

    As mentioned above one file replaces the Librarian, another one replaces the Apoth(Crozious replaces Axe). It is entirely possible to have both files at once, y'know, if you're crazy and want 2 Chaplains running around.

    For modders, your version has a Terminator Chaplain who also comes with his own Storm Bolter it's like the Epic Storm bolter but with the barrels coming out of a skull's mouth, and the body of the Bolter is black. Additionally i've included a new "unit" on the troops folder named "Terminator Lord" this guy has the exact same animations as the Chaos Lord, but no model, i don't really know how this is managed in code but the Chaos Lord's troop file comes with his body, while the shoulders, accessories, head and cape come with the armor models, other units like the Space Marines also have only the skeleton for animations in their troop files, hence why i added this one.

    Also, as far as i'm aware the loyalist terminator's are compatible with the Chaos Lord's animations, and i've also added a "Terminator Lord Cape" to the space marine accesories which is just a retextured chaos lord cape, the reasoning for this is twofold, 1 the current Force Commander in Terminator Armor is pretty underwhelming, with this you could in theory give him the Loyalist Terminator Armor+Cape+Chaos Lord animations to make him more impressive, and 2 so that you get the option of giving the Terminator Chaplain a cape or using him without the cape.(Terminator Chaplain comes with cape and without cape versions, the cape is also separate on the accessories folder)

    You also get the Power Armored Chaplain and a Jumppack for him, there's 3 versions for the PWChaplain, the normal one is complete, ie he comes with the head, backpack, cloth-thing and everything, this one is best used with the Librarian's animations so that the cloth on his crotch animates, the second version without the cloth is so that he works with the generic Space Marine animations without any glitchy stuff going on, and there's a third version called nobackpack_nochestpiece this one is for use with the Jumppack since the Jumppack's belts clip with his chest piece, and there's an additional model that's just his cloth(Chaplain_cloth)

    He comes with 2 weapons, the Crozious arcanum(which should be perfectly usable both by the power armored version and by the terminator version) and a Storm Bolter. That is all, and now a picture of the Apoth Chaplain:

    First-glance feedback: The backpack exhausts on the Power Armour version look too blocky. Guess that's a texture issue, since the standard backpacks manage to hide this 'blockyness' better. Additionally, the scroll on the left shoulder guard seems to have issues with the transparency information, the black edges don't disappear.
    That skull on the Stormbolter is huge, maybe a smaller one with both barrels behind the eye sockets would look better?

    Well the Bolter and the backpack things are fixable, in fact i was a bit iffy about the skull on the bolter so i think i'll just remove it, and i already fixed the backpack. The transparency thing though.

    Beats the hell out of me why it's that way when i didn't edit those textures in any way, but either way i can't fix it. Why? Hell if i know:

    This is likely not fixable as it has to replace something and it is better that the axe be replaced than the chainsword due to how less commonly used the axe is compared to the chainsword.
