Sounds good to me. Are you going to do all the exarchs and aspect warriors next? I assumed you would finish termies, then finish sternguards and then dire avengers, and I was hoping really hard for striking scorps with all their wargear, and the exarch with all his goodies too. What do you have planned during the beta besides Kriegers?

Eagle on the lower helm looks cool, eagle on the forehead = can't see the eyes. Keep the first one.
I agree with you Shuma. The top eagle on the termi helm looks .. odd. Maybe lose it and just have the jaw eagle and the bionic eye?
I do like the ordinary helm with eagle on though.
I feel like the eyes are a bit to obscured in both models, but definitely worse on the termie. On the power armored marine the way the eyes are "half covered" gives the illusion that they are really close together.

Anyway, I like the sideguard of waistline. For helmet the upside of wing look too thick, It make eyes too little.

The Chaos Terminator helmet is great, it could be used to randomise the chaos Terminators in multiplayer.
Sentinels are AT-ST ripoffs so much that they can stay unmodified Same with Darktroopers, who are Astartes ripoffs.
On Vader 40k: Imagine Vader as the apprentice of the real Emprah (not Palpatine), leading an army of Space Marines reqruited from Mandalorians. That would be fun! (Except for the poor rebels, heretics and such on the receiving end of it )
What? One of the greatest Star Wars memories is the very first scene fans ever got to see. It was when the Stormtroopers boarded the Rebel blockade runner, and cleared fucking house. As for "bad aim", well they had good aim against everything, except for heroes, which is pretty accurate even to DoW/WH40k (although they did get Princess Leia in ROTJ). Those big ass horns will be in the new chaos terminators. As for the lightsaber, there are lightsabers in fluff Eisenhorn has one, an old relic from a more civilized age from the Rogue Trader era to be more accurate, they're called solaris praxis someshit. I'll probably make one for the Inquisitor in Ret anyway. In other news new screens came out for Retribution today with a close up view of the guardsmen and stormtroopers, and my god do they look ugly and i don't mean ugly as in comparision with other DoW II models that'd be understandable since Relic obviously has to take care of optimization, but no, i mean ugly as in they're a step back from the IG in DoW I which is fucking shocking their faces barely look like faces, they look like stretched skin masks and they're not randomized unlike the ones in DoW I and as i have already shown here it's not hard at all to do so considering it was my first time coding something.
Of course, the screenshots could've been taken in medium quality but i seriously doubt that considering the other units in the picture that are not guardsmen look good as always.
Anyway i will release the new Terminator helmet later today along with an updated version of the plague lord, it doesn't have anything new it will simply be redone in such a way that matches the original chaos lord more as in his shoulder pads and cape change but not his helmet, stuff like that.
He'll keep the Typhus look alike helmet in all his ranks, the rank 0 helmet will be used for Plague Terminators maybe after being rework a little and the last helmet and last armor will be thrown out because well, it's hideous and not in a good way.
Hey Shuma, if it's not too much trouble, could you make some bolters with melee attachments? I'd really like to see some loyalist and chaos bolters that are shaped like the Blighted Bolter that Tarkus uses when he goes traitor in Chaos Rising. A nice shiny combat blade for loyalists would be nice, since we could just use the blighted bolter for the Chaos Space Marines. Also, the bolters you made for the Sternguards look awesome with the scopes and the box magazines - could you add some combat blade bayonets to those as well please?
Also, when will you be releasing the capes and loincloths? Can we add them to any power armor we want, or are they "part of" the new Sternguard armors? It would be cool if we could add them to the existing armors. Do Terminators have a back banner yet? LOL sorry for being so picky, but your stuff is top notch and I can't wait to update.

About the bolters sure, it'd be pretty easy. As for the capes and loincloths, the cape is the generic one made by Relic and the loincloth i already released in the bits and pieces pack 2, the Sternguard armor doesn't have the backpack or helmets or capes or loincloths attached, it's just the power armor itself.
As for the Terminator stuff, i don't want to release some of this stuff for modders yet because some models will use textures from other models and if i released them individually you'd have to say if you want to use helmet x then maybe you'd have to come back and download helmet y so that some textures aren't pink, for example the honor guard helmet i've done uses the texture from the honor guard terminator helmet so all this guys will be released in a pack for Space marines, Sternguards, Honorguard, Terminator Chapter Master, Sargent, etc, etc. The cape and loincloth animations for the Terminator's shouldn't take too long to make since they have very few animations and they don't move a lot, they're pretty static fortunately.
I think i'll release them today as replacements, at least the minotaur helmet and the commander helmet along with the chaos terminator helmet and fix'd plague lord.
I guess i'll do it today too.
And this brings me to some questions.
Currently the Chaos marines use their available colors as follow: Primary color is armor, secondary is the shoulder trim and other details, third is the eyes and demons and fourth is the plague marines, now i previously released with the plague champion textures to make the plague marines use the first color 2, with the first color changing their armor, second color their trim and details, 3rd color eyes(in the case of the plague champion) and the 4th color changing the color of pustules and other nurgly bits.
Now my question is, should i do something similar for the Demons, they would be pretty simple, first color armor, second details, third eyes and 4th nothing. All of this is such a mess, i mean it's hard enough to cramp the loyalist marines schemes in 4 colors let alone cramp chaos marines, demons and god specific units to 4 colors and no matter what i do it feels like some units are missingo out, for example how would you make the great unclean one team colorable? With the 4th color like the plague marines used to be? Then the Plague marines pustules and nurgle bits would be always a shade of green since the GuO would probably look bad in other colors, like Reds and Blues, and then Demons wouldn't use the 4th color, and then how do you make Chaos marines shoulders be team colorable? Or their capes?
The one other thing i could do but i think it's too much hassle is to make more schemes for Chaos, like one where khorne demons and plague marines aren't team colorable so the 4 colors are used by chaos marines, other where they are team colorable like i said above, another where even the GuO is team colorable, etc, etc. tl;dr: Damn this color limitations.
Anyway, onto the next question, should i release the team colorable textures for Gabriel's, Commander and Captain(the one with two eagles i made) along with the captain armor so that it's team colorable or should i release them in a different pack? You can see how it team colors above.

Post processing is an option in the options menu, other than "it adds bloom to everything and makes everything glow like 20 stars" i don't really know what it's for.

Yeah, the helmet depends on which one you choose to use, if you want you can keep Vanilla ice, or use the BT helmet, or the ultramarine helmet, etc.
Anyway after looking at the Plague Lord i've decided that the hassle of fixing him is not worth it, in short it's bad and it would involve lots of tinkering, i'll just make a new one in the future. Expect the new CL terminator helmet, the commander helmet, the minotaur helmet and the captain armor later today.
Hey Shuma, are you going to do any stuff for Guard in Retribution? I know you can't really say until the beta comes out, but are you considering it?
The Chapter Master looks badass. Cooler than even the Emperor's Champion Helmet (the Black Templars).

Actually i've been saying since Ret was announced that i'm going to do the Death Korps, i'm just waiting for the beta.

Anyway i did some investigating and apparently Photobucket is the site with the biggest bandwidth limit, at least from 10 sites i saw. Sooo... If anything i got to stop posting so many damn pictures, meanwhile i'll use Imageshack. Sigh.
Anyway, the helmets are coming now i got busy doing something fun. The Chaos Lord is now "customizable" he has been separated into several pieces, the helmet is now separate, the chaos lord model under the troops folder now has no mesh, only bones(like the ones of tactical marines and chaos marines for example) his body is now chaos_lord_armor under troops/wargear armor, his capes and loincloth are under accessories and his shoulders and other assorted items(belt buckles, knee pads, skin banner) are now chaos_lord_shoulder_common/rare/epic etc, etc. So modders can now for example make a chaos lord with the rare shoulders and trophy racks, but with the skin cape and no loincloth.
I did this for a couple reasons, first one is that this way it'll be easier for me to make wargear for the chaos lord and second... Well i find it really weird and stupid the way he was made. I'll release him in a minute, then the new chaos lord helmet and the others.
