I may be mistaken but i don't belive our freindly tool creator is that skilled a programmer, once he does a write up on the "format" (hope thats the right word), somone else with the coding knowlage will come along and do he work there. You mean Relic's textures? Nothing, they probably just look like that in Santos's model editor. I think it doesn't render specular maps(hence the gold color doesn't "shine") and you have to adjust the lighting(which i'm too lazy to do) to make the normal maps show better, but i'm pretty sure it does render the normal map.
My only recommendation would be to blur the scratches on the helmet a little/make them larger, otherwise it highlights how low res the rest of the armour is, and you won't be able to see those details from a distance, unlike larger marks.

Shuma, I've got a question for you - if you were able to make a ball and chain weapon for the Chaos Lord, would you be able to put a Wrekkin' Ball weapon on the Wartrukk as an upgrade? It would be cool if it could slam the ground directly in front of the truck, like after a charge.

I was wondering if there is a way to give the force commander armor seperate to the normal marines before level 46? Or do you still have to reach this rank in order to get seperate FC armor? Couldn't find anything in the armaments of war thread about it so thought I'd ask here. Thanks

It's been almost 8 months since i released anything, 3 since i worked on something for DoW II. I'm starting to think i've lost my interest for this kind of stuff, you never know, but it feels that way. ANYWAY, for now, i'm releasing all the kind of finished stuff i made in the past months, in other words the stuff that's ready to be used for DoW II, stuff that's already textured and in the DoW II .model format, no random 3ds max models or anything like that.

It's a zip file, no .sga, so it's only useful to modders. It contains the Chaos Raptor(including a portrait!), comes with 3 "new" weapons, a "clean" power fist(it has a cleaner texture than the plague fist), a two handed mace and a power claw.
3 helmets, the black templar crusader helmet from the previous page, the khornate helmet from above and the word bearer helmet from above.
The armor and weapons the word bearer guy above is using are all relic's, the epic marine shoulders, epic sorceror armor, melta gun, the hellblade from the last stand the sorceror uses and the sorceror epic backpack, and the chaos aspiring champion icon from my "re-organized chaos marine" pack, in case you want to make him.
The Slaaneshi lord, again, no new animations, he comes with a new sword, a plasma gun(generic chaos plasma gun but the red bits are gold), armor, helmet, shoulderpads, an ass cape thing, trophies and a doom siren. The doom siren goes over the backpack and he has no unique backpack, so use either the common or rare chaos marine backpacks for him. For animations, any animation should work fine(i recommend the Apothecary's axe animation set for his sword), and the reason the ass cape thing is a separate model is that like usual, it looks kind of crappy when he runs.
If i make more stuff i'll post about it, but for now, this might be it.

If you decide to stop or take a break, rest-assured. All your contributions to the community has been well-praised and alot of people are thankful for your work. I'm everyday scrolling to see if there's any updates on your end, I'm always surprised and impressed by the work. It's going to be dayum shame and a big loss for the community if you do turn out to call it a quits, but I guess it's understandable.
Anyway, take care if you do stop with the modelling and modding-bits. If it's just a break, we'll be looking forward for your return, at least I will. I plan myself to actually start doing my own work, but I guess I've got a long way ahead of me in terms of learning, heh.
Thanks, but it's not like i want to quit, or that i lack the time to keep making models and stuff, i just feel burned out i guess. I've been trying to keep my interest up by practicing with Zbrush with the possessed marine and the chosen helmet below, but lately i don't feel like just sitting and working for hours on something, so while i have been making some stuff it's all progressing pretty slowly. Newest stuff i'm making are Chaos Chosen marines:
That's just the helmet, i want to make shoulderpads, backpack and armor for them, but it'll take a long time.

Looks great, and actually it resembles the TT Possessed marine heads somewhat, so we could use it for an alternate head for PSM.
