    That's why i did them, a certain someone asked me if i could make a power bat for the Angry marine. I just decided to go the extra mile. And i just remembered i forgot to make something else before starting the BT helmet, i do have a little list of things that i plan to do, right now i have the FC helmets to make, then something Kornelord asked to me to make and then... Then i'll dissapear for a bit and return with something awesome.

    Anyway, this helmet is almost done:

    So as you may see this schemes look a bit odd with the armor's patterns, however as you may know i do plan to make chapter specific armors so eventually it'd be just nice and dandy. For now at least the helmet is more unique. Anyway enjoy, the file needed for modders is also there, enjoy. Blood Angels is next.

    The helmet is one of the Black Templar helmets for the miniatures, and i based the paint job on one of Apok's miniatures on the Painting and moddeling forum here.

    damn right, im waiting for relic to REALLY do them the justice they deserve, they were no where near powerful enough in Dark Crusade... but if they were accurate to the fluff theyd own everything in the game... hmmm and if they do GK terminators, i hope theyre worth twice as much as regular terminators

    And holy moly that last teamcolour image makes my eyes bleed. Dante just wouldn't look good with the amount of bloom DoW II has

    You can turn the excessive bloom down, i think it's the post-processing option it also makes things glow less but i like everything glowing bright enough to send signals into space so eh. But yes, the Blood Angels have a terrible sense of fashion and i never liked them.

    Here's a little something, i've replaced the common Space Marine and Veteran helmets with this helmet that looks more like the ones in the miniatures, the team colors work the same as the ones in the common marines, ie halved, quartered and... whatever the fuck the 4th scheme is called. I moved the eyes apart a bit so that they don't look so close together and i made the eyes darker and glow less and thus i will also update the Blood Angels helmet you can get them here:

    Ultramarine commander veteran helmet preview:



    The white/grey parts of the crest will be team colorable. Btw, the veteran Dark Angel helmet will not be the one i had posted in the sketch, that one will be the elite helmet and the veteran helmet will be a simpler hooded helmet.

    EDIT: also i think the brush type thing whatever tis called needs to be scaled down a bit, as well as the eyes being a wee bit too close together.. why dont you just base it on a standard SM helm? i prefer teh look but GJ anyways

    When i make Dark Angel helmets for the common Space marines they will all have hoods. As for the size of the crest, the reason it's like this it's because if i made it exactly like Sicarius's thing it would clip with the backpack and shoulders each time he turned his head and if it's smaller it looks weird and out of proportion with the helmet, at least in my opinion this was the best it was going to look. And as for the eyes, they're like the ones in the miniatures, any farther away and the marine gets a "dur hur i'm retarded" look on his face unless the eyes are made bigger in which case i'd be back to Relic's helmet design.

    My crits are that the plume plus support looks too big and the eyes look too close and inset. But I think maybe scaling the plume to about three quarters it's current size would improve it, imo of course.

    Otherwise I like the texture and the team colourings.

    the preview screeni gave me the best direction to cut & paste the helmet on gabriel angelos armour xP
    just added some lights and i used the "special" filter that relic used too.
    topaz if u know it shuma^^

    it makes alot of fun to do it sometimes cause common helmets are boring...

    Yeah, I'm liking it now, maybe a tad shorter on the support :P But I am just nit picking hehe, the major thing was definitely the plume. I think it looks a lot more reasonable now, get a screenshot of it in game.

    i would say yes BUT seperate mods would be the best cause some guys already have that ork mod u know and your librarian with a diff. armour*

    It will not have any compatibility issues with my own mods, in the even that it did it would be pretty simple to fix it. And i don't think it'd have any compatibility issues with SargeX mod either.

    @OneProduct:

    Well the reason i'm considering to do this besides "everyone wants someone to do it" is because if i plan to make armours, weapons and all the stuff for every single chapter and legion/renegade warband i plan to make DOW III would come out before i finish, my work would be significantly less if i have to make only one armor for the FC and common marines, etc, etc. The exception to this would be the Tyranids who's wargear is completely fucked. That said i'm still not convinced if i should do it...
