    You guys seem te be always working on a million models at the same time. Is there an organized assembly line or do you just work on whatever you feel like?

    I found that it may seem in-coordinate. but it usually isn't.

    It is better if the freedom of expression is utilized to reduce the chance of modellers becoming disenfranchised.

    As you would of seen by my facebook I have lots of ideas and am slowly working through them.

    from recall there is only a handful of developers in UA mod that can get models ingame and each of them rely on others to help with getting the knowledge they don't have.

    If we worked on a Linear/diagnostic approach instead of a multifaceted/holistic approach we would lose developers faster.

    Its like working on a model and chatting about it at the same time and gaining knowledge of how to get it sweet to go ingame.
    As a developer that is a much more stimulating environment.

    As can be seen with some other mods, they lose members and the mod goes into hibernation if a linear path is taken to development.

    Look after yourselves.

    Is used with created maps with a set of objects being able to be destroyed through the group they are assigned with.
    Chiu ChunLing Has done lots of works and understands it best.
    If approached he may make a tutorial that makes it more understandable on how to group objects in maps you make in ME.
    Also the scar is beyond my understanding, but I believe if you ask Chiu ChunLing he seems to communicate happily about his abilities and might be able togive you the desired knowledge.
    I might also suggest getting Adv. ME as well.

    You know this reminds me of a story; Alfred nobel the man who created the nobel prize was a rich inventor chemist who invented a type of explosive powder, one day a French paper published a false obituary of him and he got to see how the world reacted upon his death; needless to say this revelation caused him to do great and many things like the nobel prize.

    Needless to say Profman it’s good to have you back and I hope you continue to do great things with the apoc mod.

    @the mod I don’t feel that the IG should be able to deep strike the baneblade varients as it takes away one of the primary weaknees of the baneblade and that is that it is extremely slow.

    @ inharntdispoile: I think you're still playing an old version of the mod since IG cannot deepstrike superheavies on the current version.

    Which reminded me of this.

    Installing the latest patch over an old 1.59 version won't magically update the whole thing, you need to do a clean install of version 1.62.59 of the mod (you can find the installer downloads under the "Complete Collection Downloads (Full versions)" spoiler) and apply the latest patch over that install. Then you'll have the latest version of the Ultimate Apocalypse mod

If your answer is something similar to "too long, didn't read", I'll get you a quick lazy resume: Cylarne is injured due to a car accident (he's fine, but his hands aren't) so that's the reason the UA mod development is currently sleeping. Almost right at the same time, someone under the name of DarSoul69 thought it'd be a good idea to post Profman was dead on ModDB. Which wasn't true, Profman is well alive, but many of us got quite scared for a moment... (shakes fist at DarkSoul69)

    @ Joekid13: And because Cylarne is out of commission for the moment, I really don't think the grand release will be this march...

    Ive had contact with Chiu, and you should of got my PM.
    I need to investigate the map destructible terrain and listen more to Chiu.

    i think we have an ork battlewagon man, but go for it, the more battlewagon bases the better.
    as there is lots and lots of battlewagon variants, if you check out epic(board game) or final liberation(PC Game).

    Since orks use a mish-mash vehicle construction, they are not as universal as say SM vehicles.

    -BrainKrusha?
    -Gutrippa?
    -BoneKrusha?
    -Bonebreaka?
    -Bowelburna?
    -Gobsmasha?

    And if you check out final liberation, you will see they are all built on the same battlewagon and looking dodgy.
    being built on different battlewagon variants gives them greater diversity in the Orkish Armie.

    So go for it man.

    If we do get these ingame and need a building, we might be able to modify the old Ork stompa into a Big Mekz bldg, so it could build these variants.
    Having the hamma move up and down during its building animation.
    Possibly even having the stompa bldg, upgradable to a mek stompa. It haz Hamma.

    There is a slow call for flyers for every races.
    Whether it be proxy flyers(thunderhawk/orca) or SS flyers styles.(hell blade/fighta)

    Okay so I have heard stories that the emperor class titan wouldn't be able to be ingame?

    How about is the emperor is there from the start with missing weapons and crew and in scaffolding.

    Your purpose is to get it working again and crewed.

    You have to generate insane amounts of resources to be able to repair the imperator.
    The there is a special set of say 10 researches you need to use to be able to get a crew for it.
    Weapons on this scale would not need to move. Just make the whole map visible and have the weapons with unlimited range?
    The whole map viewing works well with tyranids and witch hunters.
    Insane weapon ranges work great as well due to the sheer capacity of this unit.
    Imperator super-superstructure?

    Thoughts?

    Yeah, but the reason why the Imperator titan won't be in-game is because it's to friggin' big. Have you played the campaign on Winter assult, where that kind of titan takes upp almost a whole map? Or even just Dark Crusade, where one of it's main guns lying in Victory Bay is bigger than a Warhound.
    I was sceptical about the Warlord, but I can't see them doing the Imperator. Even as a superstructure, the thing would basically have to lie down just so that you would be able to see it's head.

    @Demetrius: I have had more contact with Chiu and I am beginning to understand the level of work that would need to be done to make Maps wit destructible terrain.
    It seems feasible that you could get a previous map and Create Egroups for the purpose of assigning them the destructible scar.

    Oh and if you are worrying about texturing the vehicles, try not to, as it will come to you in time with patience and communication.
    Same thing happened to me with burning things in max.

    I made a couple of hundred kitbashes then got other knowledge of how to help this mod develop.
    fx creation/editing, WTP work, Hex'n'texing, DDS work, Iconifacation, Map making, Etc...

    So mesh away man, mesh what you feel like. Then mesh some more. In time Texturing will come to you.

    Try not to get caught up in the process of slave to Mod. or worrying about not having many models ingame.
    Its the experience that will help you the best way.

    I also believe that the DP is the upgrade for the Commander undivided Mark.

    I know this mod is hibernating, but I'd like to report a bug nonetheless.

    I was fighting Dark Eldar as Khorne Chaos and my maxed-out listening post was not attacking a Ravager. Upon trying to manually attack it, I discovered I cannot target a Dark Eldar Ravager with a listening post.

    Here are the specifics of the battle.

    Player- Chaos: Mark of Khorne
    Computer 1- Dark Eldar

    Difficulty- hard
    Map- Deadman's Crossing

    Win conditions-
    Annihilate
    Hardcore
    Game Timer
    Massive Battles

    Can someone confirm this?

    @Demetrius: LoL Man, Did you get your terminators and DP?

    A Trick is to have 5 hqs built, pause the game and click on a different mark in each hq. "un-pause"
    That should give you access to all units for all 5 marks for development.

    @Xpwn3ntial: Map- Deadman's Crossing My map of choice too.

    I mass infantry around the strategic location at the start and send in flyers after that to soak up damage while the infantry is upgraded to heavy weapons. Bringing in titanic units to support them when buildable. Then walling off teh entryway to my camp when I have the resources and turrets as well.

    All the while trying to capture resources and upgrade listening posts.
    I usually start with 3 infantry Buildings so there is a constant cycle of troops.

    How do you go about it?

    I start with two infantry buildings and sprawl across the map like chaos is want to do. When I get Berzerkers, I start the offensive against their choke points with Predators giving lazer support. I then have to just hold them off until I get all the upgrades I want if I feel like taunting my opponent.


    @Modders: Plague Marines still show being able to be possessed by Bloodthirster.

    Try playing extensively on Deadman's Crossing (2p) and you'll see this over and over on the fight for the middle critical location (I saw turrets not attacking infantry in range, tanks charging into meele range with buildings, and many other tactical disgraces, and in several mods).

    Or, if some heroic modder with mapping skills would dare, make a "negative cover-free" version of maps which have negative cover? I am certain that'd alter the balance of some maps, but in most cases, it'd make them more playable than before.

    And regarding gridkeys:
    They're delayed again. My apologies. Real life got in the way this past week and I happened to be so smart as to choose that time to make a full reinstall (windows, software, games, everything). Due to many unexpected issues, it took me a record-long time of three days (usually I get it done in 6 hours max). The other times I could have worked on the gridkeys, I was just lazy/forgot/procrastinated.

    The good news is that I came up with a system for taking note of the hotkeys' location very quickly by now, so each race takes me about 1-2 hours to put on .txt reference (since I can't memorize where each button was). Thing is I only did Chaos and Dark Eldar by now...

    Still, worry not grid lovers. I will finish this project. But I'll continue tomorrow because now I must sleep.

    -What is the issue with creating your own versions?
    -That way there is no Intellectual property issue with what you do and every chance you will b praised for your work.

    @darktetor With the DOW2 Forums, would they be willing to submit models to be used in a DOW Mod, or are they above DOW Modding?
    -I know a couple of DOW2 modders Have come over to DOW due to the limitations of the DOW2 engines.
    -Also as I know Necrons are called for in the New Codex to boost the ailing Necron gameplay.

    @PsykoTenshi: That's the benefits of negative cover, it gets a little crazy in there. Love it. It is a whole new gameplay style compared to regular play.
    -you need to micromanage your units to be able to win the centre. Its a challenge I have learned to overcome.
    -It is what Deadmans Crossing is all about, the insanity in the middle. also there might be a line of sight issue with the river being much deeper then the resource positions on the banks.
    Either way I love it and can massacre it with the strategies I have developed. Its about having many strategies for many situations/maps.
    How are we going to be with destructible terrain and getting new strategies around it? Or with the walls and gates that are coming in and the strategies around them in different maps? Deadmans Crossing is how I would see trench warfare if it was implemented. And trench warfare is very messy in real life, tactics are overdone by sheer push.

    1 if i have lets say 20 turets,i need to click 20 times to upgrade all to missile turet,why not click on 1 turet and all upgrade to missile turet.
    2 same thing for weapon upgrade and listening points.

    or to make gun turret and missile turet as separate turets.

    you may have to get used to clicking man.
    Because at the moment we only have the two build lists, building a total of 24 bldgs.

    To get more playability in teh engine, more bldgs might need to be upgraded to produce lots more units. Not the mod but the game.

    Create credits section on your start page on Mod DB. You have to respect the work of other DoW modders. Your mod has very little independent content. It's true. A lot of ready made stuff was taken from many other mods by your team. For example, you use over 80% 3D stuff from FoK Mod, over 50% ready OE-code from Titanium Wars Mod (and many other stuff too). So you MUST create proper credits section on your Mod DB start page (like here on Relicnews forum). People have a right to see your true contribution to the DoW Community work.

    If you will not agree with this just demand, then you will be banned from use of a large part of the free content of DoW Community.

    See credits section of CornCobMan's mod as an example of good correct behavior...
