    Message received loud and clear Commander Cosmo, so, to get a clearer grasp of things, does this make ProfessorGenius (Omg i just noticed that both of us are profs) kinda like my apprentice?

    Few more questions, will other races get newer stiff to counter those blasphemous machines the Necrons are going to use? Or will they be 'amped up' to counter those machines?

    And how much would you rate the finality (if that's a word) of the mod, example: 35% done, etc....

    Well this makes you basically a squad! A taskforce if you name it. A special team that deploys when things get desperate! So i want you both to specialize on Attributes and 2D Art (Textures,FX Textures, Decals etc.) if possible as they can be approached with tools which a free of charge! So you'll need Corsix Modstudio and for 2D Art GIMP or any Program off choice.

    So it's official: The Apocalypse Mod Veteran Squad is born! In order to help the venerable 1st Chapter Members in combat against the menaces which can't be handled alone!

    Gimme a sign of accepting your duty!

    To the completition of the Mod i can only say that it's like a picture you're painting. It's never truly done!

    okay, I think i speak for both profs, we dont really know all that stuff...It's like...well.....I dont know! bug hunting is one thing....all those editing stuff and so forth is beyond me. It's beyond me, I apologize but I can't do it. Although you guys know that I'm going to cheer you on.

    I hope you dont get this the wrong way, bug hunting is my cup of tea....editing thingies is like drinking a cup of earl gray tea without scones, or a day without tea! (okay, I'm english...what r u gonna do? sue me? lol)

    Never underestimate the easyness of Logic! ^^ I've also thought that Modding is OMG! But then i jsut started with a few tests here and ther and... BAM! Now i am the the Boss of the Apocalypse Mod team!! Oo So believe me when i say you can do that! We'll help you wherever we can so don't surrender to your enemies already! Hold-on! together we'll lift the heavy weight and do some cool stuff as editing stuff is much more easier when you've already get a foot into the door. Soon you'll recognize the inner Mysteries you've thought to be lost forever! Everything is connected with eachother in a reasonable way within the Attribs thus making it quite good to understand. I'll show you the way to do just right that!

    And now i need a cup of Tea! You've heard right! I love Tea! Because we have here in Hamburg nearly the same weather like in GB; 80% Rain and 20% cold Wind ^^. So having a cup of Tea makes me survive the Day!

    Look at the bright side as well, Krronus left along time ago, therefor someone had to take over. And so the plate was stepped on by our new hero. Cylarne_04, our savior of the ULTIMATE Apocalypse mods stepped forth to seize his prize. Trouble occured throughout his troubles and indeed he was only a beginner.

    But throughout time, he learned the secrets of the Apocalypse mods and so he became skilled. Like the substitution of Krronus, by the emperor we shal be the substitution of Cylarne!!!!!!

    PROGRESS:
    The Apocalypse mods are in progress and 75% done for version 1.61. All that I need is some requests from Cosmocrat about a bleeping sound that spins my head round and round and... well the mod attributes are all our worries.

    ALL of your "cosmetical issues" were cured and version 1.61 will be set I hope at new years. I was thinking, releasing 1.61 at midnight 1/1/11. Yeah that should be a HOLY SH** day.

    Tomb Stalker Progress III

    So here come the newest and freshy pictures i've made today from the enw upcoming Unit: THE TOMB STALKER!!!

    I've made him abit less "fat" and added some placehodler legs which will be refined also. For all those yearning for eyes beeing added to the Tomb Stalker i have to say the following. I am always walking on a small border between an according amount of Triangles and Insanity. Si in order to reduce unecessary polys i'll do the eyes by texture which means basically: I'll paint them onto the head! As the Tomb Spyder eyes aren't modelled either and just painted too.

    The Tomb Stalker is another guardian of the Necron Tombs. Its a very strong metal unit, wich digs in the ground and can feel even the smallest movement through hundreds of meters of solid rock.
    I heard that its given stats are much like the stats of the Trygon, but then stronger at some points. But it isn't mega... it sure is pretty big though.

    Necron Titan will be the Doomsday Monolith. And the Tombstalker isn't that big. It's just slighty bigger than a Tomb Spyder but way more faster, agile and deadly!

    Actually, if I could cut in. The first of the titans will be the Restored Monoliths (x2) 5 is overkill like in 1.19. Second will be the Pylon which balances out both weaknesses of the Monoliths, then the Doomsday Monolith.

    Huge difference. It's actually a Doomsday Phalanx and tons powerful when combined with 3 other monoliths and equipped with multiple abilities. But I say now, it's VERY expensive.



    EDIT: To All: Has anyone encountered this with the Eldar beeping noises?

    Ha ha! Tomb Stalker AND Doomsday Monolith... yeah 1.61 will I think own all mods now. Looks great by the way Cosmocrat. Good luck though animating it.

    @Cylarne: I have been playing Eldar for a long time now and not one beep occured from them. Perhaps the beeps come from Chaos with the Dreadnought (Fix that)? But there is one little catch isn't there within that video. Where is the Dreadnought? Eldar works fine for me and I think Tyrantarmy's version lacks the appropriate sounds.

    Which leads me to another direction, how can this happen if you downloaded the entire mod? Hmm...

    Same here, the beeping noise haven't occured for me either. I have no idea what is up with it.

    @Tyrantarmy: Try pinpointing the unit or structure that causes the beeping noise or I can't help you. So far it seems that it is not the mod's fault. Until further reports are announced, you are the only one with this error. For you, I'll do the best I can to ensure that the beeps come to an end.

    You have a long wait ahead of you then. Krronus won't be back for a long time.

    He was back for Thanks Giving, but also someone very close to him passed away. He stayed until Friday then left again afterwords to finish his duty.

    While in his absence, I will complete XP2 for the fans and for the honor of the Apocalypse Mod Team. Perhaps more, perhaps less, time will tell. If I vanish, then have no fear for I am assigning to you Professor to be my substitute like you suggested too. But most definitely, I'll let all of you know when it is time for me to retire. When will Krronus be back? Perhaps it is not meant for him to.

    The tau sniper drones still cost money and take time in apocalyopse mode. The tau have an unfair advantage when playing apocalypse as their teching up only needs buildings so they can tech up to tier 4 for free and nearly instantly. Could you fix this somehow?

    Sniper Drones are now fixed. There is nothing I can do about Tau's tech in the apocalypse win condition because it is shared with other win conditions as well.

    Hi, Ive been playin this mod since it came out but only as the Marines so i just wanted to give a quick bug report on them;

    1. Hellfire Dreadnought pink icon when upgrading to twin lascannon (might have been the autocannon, dont have time to check right now)
    2. Land speeders "no range eror" on missile barrage ability
    3. Techmarine "no range error" on second last ranged weapon upgrade
    4. Landspeeders showing Tier 5 research for chaos instead of disable machines ability
    5. Not sure about this one but sometimes servitors refuse to build turrets (after selecting turret to build it wont place when you click it down)
    6. Forget which one, but either the sternguard or the devastators have the "no range error" on a weapon upgrade

    Thats all i can think of now, i know 1.61 will be out soon and you may have already fixed them but i thought to post anyway to be sure . Also i have been reading around the Forgeworld website and i have these ideas for some units;

    1. Eldar Revenant Titan with Pulsars n Sonic upgrades
    2. There are a few variants of Planes under the imperial navy section, heres the link; 'http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/Imperial_Navy'
    3.Eldar Hornet
    4.SM Thunderhawk Gunship (a buildable gunship variety would be choice, may break balance though with the warhound already being powerful
    5.Imperial Sabre Defence Platform

    etc etc
    They are my personal fav's but i understand the difficulty of modelling so i dont expect anything just wanted give you some more inspiration lol XD

    Oke doke. I fixed 4 of 6 sm bugs. So I'll fix the other two up in a jiffy.

    I'm sure Cosmocrat will take a good look into these models and...

    PS: I'm very baffled and stunned by this beeping noise. I never had that error, worse I have a buggy Dark Eldar ai and Night Skimmer bad weapon fx I can't fix. You mentioned however ffdshow and ac3 codecs, what are those? Anyone know?

    Thanks cylarne for fixing those errors, now i've been doing some more research into this beeping noise and it seems to be coming from a weapon upon firing although i haven't been able to pin point it i will continue to test variations of units in battle until i find out which ones doing it then i will let you know.

    BTW ac3 and ffdshow AUDIO codecs are usually culprits for causing stuttering and crashes in games with their dodgy decoding methods and should always be disabled whilst gaming, to find out how to disable for your os just google it. Also BTW the problem of this beeping came back so it wasnt the codecs afterall, it only seems to happen to me when my battles get really large and the game starts lagging. One last thing, could you please remove the 'thermo generator" requirement on apocolypse research because not all maps have a slag deposit. Thats all for now!

    No, I don't think the bleep to be caused by lag. I always get this when there is Eldar on the screen. I ones played as them, without any battle yet, and I still got it! Maybe it has something to do with AI Donations! when the AI takes my resources (grrr) I get some kind of sound (bit diffrent but still). It should have something to do with a sertain sound hanging somewhere. maybe the sound of minefields keep returning?

    PS: Happy New year! (I'm not able to come online to tell it when it is there, so I'll just do it now. lol)

    Well that beeping sound SHOULD be fixed as I inserted all sounds from my referenced mod. It is definitely an upgrade that beeps.

    There is one problem to this, it's Thudmeizer's titan. Apparently he is way too busy to care about the titan right now. Or perhaps he doesn't trust us and he feels handing over the titan is a bad idea. Though I haven't the slightest clue he wouldn't so he probably forgot about it and moved on to more important things. Overall I respect Thudo's wishes.

    @ssmb_10: It does make sense to have a thermo plasma generator as a requirement because you would need a lot of power to access a superweapon, not to mention an ultimate superweapon. But I will remove the requirement because of map problems.

    PS: I finally know how to remove the unit cap limit from the squad. Also, just figured out the weapons on Corsix too.

    By the way, I just fixed the Dark Eldar ai! It is god awfully unorganized, but it works and the Dark Eldar ai can once again level up to tier II and beyond!

    @ssmb_10: It would be nice to have our personal mod tester after Profman leaves. If you're interested in joining the team then climb aboard, but I can't promote you to primary mod tester or else Profman gets mad, so... name your title and I shal get 'er done.

    Final Announcement: If any of you found last minute bugs, it is too late. I'm sorry.
