1.62 pre-release is out!!! Download in the spoiler below.Ultimate Apocalypse (1.62) - Pre-release
Requirements:
- Dawn of War: Soulstorm.
- >= 1.6GB hard disk space.
- Does not require any previous versions.
- Does not require any Apocalypse expansions.
- Does not require any other mods.

Installation
Non Expansion Installation:
- Remove the older versions of the Apocalypse entirely.
- Find the downloaded Apocalypse mod you wish to install.
- Extract all files to...
- Destination = C:\Program Files\THQ\Dawn of War- Soulstorm. (DOW: Soulstorm game.)
- Make sure EVERYTHING goes into the Dawn of War: Soulstorm main folder.
- To play the Apocalypse mod, start up Soulstorm.
- At main menu, go to Game Manager.
- Select the Apocalypse mod.
- Click Activate.
- A message will appear saying that Soulstorm will restart and change settings.
- Click ok to continue.
- Soulstorm will restart itself and then you'll be able to play the Apocalypse.
- Wala you're all done.
Recovery of saved games and paint schemes:
- All of your saved games and paint schemes that were created in the DOW- Soulstorm profile or any other mod profile are invalid but can be restored.
- If you haven't created a profile yet, you should probably do so by playing Dawn of War: Soulstorm.
- Fortunately if you haven't, you can stop reading this and move on to the next section called "bonus items."
- To restore Saved games and paint schemes, go to...
C:\Program Files\THQ\Dawn of War- Soulstorm\Profiles.
- Inside the profiles directory, you can copy and paste paint schemes and saved games from one profile to the next.
- Go into your profile titled "Profile#", and then select the game that contains your stuff.
- Select everything within the directory and then copy and paste it all into the apocalypse directory within your Profile directory.
- Start up the Apocalypse again and then you can play the Apocalypse with your previously saved data.

What does this mean exactly? : "Force Commander Terminator can now be upgraded by wargear" - How does this compare to how it was in 1.61 (upgrade commander.. then upgrade to termie)
@method: Wargear modifiers add modifiers to both Commander and Terminator.
Ahh i gotcha now once u upgrade to termie armor, that has its own upgrade set.. very cool.ty
So will boreale be equippable with Thunder Hammers + Storm Shield and Lightning Claws?

Sorry to post so lately as I was playing 1.62 all day.
The mod I'd say is not that buggy at all, and it has been improved by a long shot compared to version 1.6 and 1.61 of the Apocalypse mods most definitely as I just played all 9 races for the first time and actually playing them I must add, no testing what so ever.
Throughout the nine races, I experienced no crash, no fatal SCAR error and the mod runs smoothly except one thing with the Chaos Bloodthirster and the GUO. That is fixed and I'll definitely update it for you all sooner than later.
In other news, XP2 is being worked on! The three races by choice will involve Tyranids, Daemonhunters and the Steel Legion. All I need is permission from Thudo, my awesome acquaintance and finally make Steel Legion as a race for the Apocalypse mods including the Tyranids and Daemonhunters.
The release will be 2/28/11. With that, XP1 will be made and I hope to release the patch too to the Chaos needs and more. I am all ears and your suggestions are most wanted. The time for XP2 is about to begin!

Why demote it? Just rename it to 1.62.0 and the full release to 1.62.5

don't beat yourself up bout it. bugs are everywhere. Those pesky critters are like....hmm....everywhere. Even with the full might of the inquisitors (beta testers) we can't knock every bug off the list. At least all the major bugs are gone.
But, the Inquisition will never cease our hunt. By the Ultimate Apocalypse God, Krronus, we will not cower in the face of bugs. We will hunt them down to the ends of the....game to identify them.
We are the sons of the Apocalypse....and we shall...not drink beer when testing this modwell, so much for that

@MTPlayer - Wow. an FPS for DOW. Wait. What?.. That's not dawn of war. That's a "MOD" for HALF-LIFE 2. Just as Apocalypse is a MOD for DOW. Jeez.. Get your facts straight. The name of the genre is Warhammer 40,000. Not Dawn of War.
@Cylarne - Looks like the new Warhound is a bit... Small?... What kind of stupid bugs are you talking about?... Even without mods, the dawn of war series already had several graphical bugs. Does the mod crash when selecting a certain unit? Or when an AI builds a certain unit? Or when the AI reaches a certain Tier?
@whiteshield i know but a fps mod of W40k thats nice but still the mod are up and some are playing on the servers now its depend on the servers and the patchs there are comming but still a fps mod i will just say it
crashes SHOULDN'T occur within the game. I've tried a few games and like mentioned before (by me) all major bugs were eliminated. There shouldnt be any "game-breaking" bugs. There's just the missing hotkeys/anims here and there. which....now that I mentioned it, rubrics and raptors (chaos) share the same hotkey...im just sayin'

What worries me though is why the Lord and Sorcerer... lose health? I looked through the wargear and tiers and I didn't find any health degeneration nontheless.
Yep Warhound is smaller, didn't like that. Someone desized it and made it really small.

Obviously to make it (warhound titan) compatible with the army painter. fix this by going to where the model is located and look for its lua file. change its max and min size from 1.05 to 2.25.
For the sorcerer and chaos lord, maybe its in the combat_ext. the bloodthirster loses health when not in combat and the modifier is in combat_ext. also if not, maybe an ability or research is causing it?...

Black Tempars was a little difficult to add as Meloo had good legit facts about adding them as a requirement to XP2. So, I thought and thought, since I have his permission, Black Templars are a good race for XP2 some day and at any time. So I thought in the future beyond 2/28/11 will the Black Templars be added. But then, only Tyranids and Daemonhunters exsist so heck I add one more race called Steel Legion. Just need Thudmeizer's permission and perhaps the entire team. If it's denied then... sh**! XP2 will be 50% bad in my opinion. But I have good hopes.![]()
although, for the chaos thing, you may want to disable the possibility to upgrade all marks. I mean, I had tzeentch, slaanesh, khorne, nurgle and undivided upgraded at once. it crowded my sorcerer's ability menu thingy and gave all superweapons for the chosen marks. It bugs the hell out of me :P
and whoa mama, the great unclean one is one heck of a...thingy. what bugs me though, is that, with his ginormous size, he dies fairly quick. then again, it was going against 2 land raiders and a chaplain. but, i imagined him to be this unstoppable diseases ridden gigantic red dots annihilator.
Ye i did that as well got all marks xD.
ALSO hotkey for Artillery strike is same as deep strike in Mars Pattern Command so imagine my surprise when after taking the time to build a leman russ horde they get hit by my own artillery lol.

Hi! Your mod is cool, but there are some unpleasant circumstance. Hammerhead burst cannons. Can their tubes be non teamcolorable? I mean metallic, like sponsons are. You see, their textures not the best... But other things are pretty nice![]()
@MonkeyXXL: Noted, but I can't texture dude, only mod.Cosmocrat is too busy at the moment too, so I don't know what exactly we can do for you as of right now. Maybe things will turn up neatly in 1.63?
@demetrius: Yes, yes I know don't worry, it's my second priority. Sisters units can't be added to XP2 yet though. Give time, much time as creating a unit like the Aeonic Orb for example takes weeks.
reguarding adding races,as i remember black templars are sm i black colour,all units are the same as sm,tyranids are excelent,if you add stell legion will you or can you enable all features,i mean if you build infantry doctrine you can not build all tanks and vice versa in hq??

@MTplayer99: Apparently the pink icons are unfixable. The weapons match in the hardpoints like they do in the icons and still pink?
@fabiis: Temporary change as I need some kind of deep strike turret alternative, not bug. Eventually though, it will be a bunker and Deepstrike turrets might be removed as... well the bunker option is a bit tricky for the turrets.

gutted that i can't play with my great unclean one :P love the rest of the mod though, honestly i can't believe how huge this thing is
But we'll never completely get that image off which lasts on our mod like a dark menacing shade: The buggiest Mod evar! :P At least we haven't got any serious errors that quit the game for you.
But the next release is underway as Cylarne is working like a builder scarab and great ideas are going to take place ^^. You see that we get stronger by every release! If that continues constantly then 2.0 will mean World Domination i guess.
Hopefully i can continue doing new stuff when i am done with my examinations making that mod even more kick-a$$! Till then free to bring in your wishes, ideas and suggestions in order to provide some "Fan" support tu us, as we can sleep better if you say that you like our work.

@demetrius: Can you play Chaos one more time please? I had no such health regeneration in my game... twice. Just make sure as the mod is awesome to play over and over again anyways.
@Cosmocrat: Builder Scarab!Right on! Not for this mod though, but for XP2! Oh yeah, the Daemonhunters and Tyranids now have no limit to their uber squads. Trying to make Tier IV now. Wish me luck.
