No what I meant was, is that if the Deamon prince was a placeholder for an actual chaos god, e.g. an emobodiment of Khorne of Nurlge itself it would be too powerful but if thats not the case then jolly good. A Chaos Reaver/Warlord sounds cool. I belive the ones in the "Dead sky, Black sun" had more melee weapons and a lot of demonic/chaos powers about them rather than simply being machines of war, it was almost like they were alive (probably were, only with demons rather than machine sentience).

Its a shame the Deamon prince is completly removed, it would be a nice extra relic or higher tier unit still, since its voice and words it speaks were especially iconic of chaos and added great immersion for me at least. The "I have ascended" or "they are gnats before me!" still give me chills, perhaps you can use the voice sound files if you dont want to use the unit?

I was simply playing with the idea that you could some how copy the Dark Elder Soul resource and add it to Chaos. Then label the resource according to the God its for, not sure if thats even possible, I would assume some of these things are hard coded however were you interested in implementing such an idea.

Yes, the embodiment of a Chao god would be too much, deamon princes are more than enough.

Btw the idea of soul essence beeing converted to chaos isn't bad. But I would add the faith one instead, for example give the heretics the ability to pray in the chaos temple like in the SS Legions mod, but we add the generation of lets say "devotion" which give us the ability to recruit greater demons and use some cool powers and upgrades.

Indeed, some Deamon princes are ascended fallen Primarchs themselves. I dont think you can get much more power from Chaos than that.

Either one would be nice, I was simply thinking that giving each Chaos God some unique powers based on a similiar system as faith/soul essence would be cool.

What? You frikin kiddin me? Well! Looks like I'm going to break a rule. The Brass Scorpion in this case (Out of Andrei's creation) is mighty much strong than a Defiler with a support cap of 4 and CAN take on titans with good damage, but it'll still lose. Can actually demoralize a venerable Dreadnought .

By the way, I need more of my questions answered. I need to gather up more intel before I continue.

Well that probably sounds about right, its just that a description about it on a Tabletop guide said its claws could "snip" titans legs off. This may simply be exageration, although I think what you just described is similiar to what its supposed to be. Does it have the huge explosion that the tabletop version is known for?

ABSOLUTE NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!! Play as the Necron with low requisition rate in standard...T^T is a nightmare if you don't have a quick-start requisition...I make a skirmish and just for approximation, you need at least 45 minutes without being attacked to be just a respectable opponent....lol

-I like to ask if is possible to fix the ai to not Steal your capture points..when i play with an ally when i capture a point there is a ally unit nearby ( any race) and recapture your point it is was belong to you..I patch that of construct your post quickly ...At least they don't recapture your critical location.. ..

well Cylarne you dont have to have it but it would indeed be cool and its part of the Table Top brass scorpion rules, it makes a large explosion when it dies. On the other hand, you would probably get a lot of lag, or it would be unfair if all these scorpions (more numerous in-game most likely than table top unless you limit them or something) so whatver works best for the mod.

the AI steals your points? the only thing I see them do, is taking my point when the enemy took it first and my ally is faster at that point than me! but taking it when it is still mine? I haven't seen that before.

If Chaos can chose their own Gods so other races could had their own ways too!(I have no idea about it yet,I need more informations).
Just reading Apocalypse idea and I have some more.Some of thing may be impossible to do but I'm very glad if it work in game however I don't like Chaos much.
All races should had their third resource but I know it hard to do so make it simple.
1)Khorne:
-Over view:Strong in melee combat and using squads.High health and damage.
-Elemental:Blood(liquid-Warter).Instead of using Blood resource,make them had same nature as Bloodthirster(losing health when not in battle)
-Ability:Cannibalize(like Apocalypse said) and ability that make them stronger with cost of health.
-Super weapons:There are two types: Defensive and Offensive.
Defensive:Rain of Blood(Fortress of Khorne):Support all units in range with great health regen(strong like fortress)
Offensive:Berzerker Glaive:Support all units in range with small damage for every enemy they kill.
-Ultimate weapon:N/A :
2)Nurgle:
-Over view:Strong in corrupt enemy and rising force.Low health and damage.
-Elemental:Earth.Any enemy units near them lose health.
-Ability:Give them 50% change to rise up when die and poison weapons(Apocalypse said)
-Super weapons:
Defensive:Nurgle's rot:All units in range will rise automatically when die.
Offensive:Manreaper:All enemy units died in area will become Nurglings.
-Ultimate weapon:Corruption.
3)Tzeentch:
-Over view:Strong in capture enemy and ranged combat.Low health and damage.
-Elemental:Fire.Explosion when died.
-Ability:Remove enemy squads morale and stunt enemy squads.
-Super weapons:
Defensive:Bedlam Staff:All enemy units in area are immobilize.
Offensive:Warp Blade:N/A.
-Ultimate weapon:Eire Storm.
4)Slaneesh:
-Over view:Strong in break enemy squads and melee combat.High health and damage.
-Elemental:Soul(Air).Damage good on enemy morale.

Instead of the summoning of a chaos god being summoned cause that was considered op what about a temporary possession like with the necrons c'tan yet make it so that the effect is even shorter and the reload time is much much longer forcing the player to be tactical about when they use the ability.

Well it does not have to be overpowered really. I said it earlier because lorewise a chaos God would probably take out all the races at once considering the battlefield in a Dawn of War gmae is just a small skirmish. If it was a star system wide combat then maybe but the same could be said for TItans in general, a Warhound or even more so a Imperator could take out the whole field of battle in seconds.

But I would really want a really super Chaos unit unique to other races, they have such a large list of things to choose from such as Chaos God possession, a Chaos Reaper/imperator, a fallen Primarch (basically a remodled deamon pricne I guess just with super powers). I think anything that makes Chaos unique, certainly between each God so the player feels their playing towards a specific ideology.

Edit: Making these long lists of things I would like to change makes me feel like ime being ungrateful or selfish towards the team and I want to apologise if it seems that way, I say again the Chaos in game already is brilliant to use but like any eager fan of certain race or mod, theres always wishes for even more, even when such ideas are impossible.

Today is the day of Chaos,everything we discussing is about Chaos.
To Apocalypse:I know your feeling because it the same as my.Any fan from any game alway hoping some good things for their game and DoW is not a exception.
Chaos in game is really strong and Deamon Prince are very powerful(Great health,fast regen,great damage,speed and four abilitys)It defeated all my three Avatars even with Scorpion fire support so if something like Gods and BaneLord Titan appear,the game is in their hand.Last hope is Super weapons...The only thing I want to see in Chaos is Ravager Titan.
We need to focus to other races,Chaos is good enough.

In other news, one new *hush* *hush* secret unit is in game, and this one is an iffy for the patch as well, but here is the new list of results. I'll put this up on the first post too.

I guess so but apprently the Prince is being removed in the next patch. Also theres always balance to attend with regardless of how lore powerful a unit is. Hell if it was 100% lore correct a space marine could likely kill a guardsmen group by himself, let alone a company of space marines

Correct. Yeah, if I remove the Daemon Prince in the patch, problems could arrise. It's just in my version right now, the limit of Chaos gods and Land Raiders were removed. So hopefully they can counter titans.

hmmm... Chaos gods in-game... that gave me an idea! No chaos gods, but what about somekind of avatar of a chaos god, like the avatar of Khorne, or avatar of Nurgle? this would be the embodiment of that god, so that it can fight along it's followers, but much, much weaker.

well...the GUO is the embodiment of Nurgle...since, they represent him in all aspect of his being. Same goes for the bloodthirstier....physical embodiment of Khorne's blood hunger, Keeper of secrets, Tzeenetch's ever-changing nature. The keeper of secrets....well, it's a hermaphrodite ...what more do you want?

Maybe I should have brought the idea a bit diffrently. what I meant was indeed an avatar. but I see the bloodthirster more like the embodiment of the will and nature of khorne. he dies without blood, so he is thirsty for blood, just like khorne. but what I meant was to make it the embodiment of khorne himself. so that his spirit will get into a daemonic body so that he can fight himself, and when destroyed he will return to the warp. ofcourse the body cannot possibly match his power. that's what I meant.

I have a question about the Chaos Gods, if you say Bloodthirsters and GUO are "embodiments", then what are Chaos Gods?

I like this idea (Tyrantarmy6's) , I think its just that Greater deamons as cool as they are, are just stompy giant beasts in DoW gameplay, I think they need more used powers especially for AoE fights against a lot of small forces otherwise they get swamped. Khornes embodiment I think looks similiar to Tyrants images.

Chaos as a force are incredibly powerful lorewise, a primarch or a possession by Chaos would be excellent. Or as I said earlier, an upgrade to boost the Blood thirster, GUO to "favoured" of the God level, such as the Bloodthirster becoming the "unbound" one.

Also that Tau battle suit is amazing work, good job indeed. Tau certainly needed a more unique heavy unit.


To answer Krronus, Chaos Gods are immaterial self aware embodiments of a emotion, feeling, state in the universe such as war, hate, blood for Khorne. Greater demons are more like symbols of the Gods they serve but not directly embodiments. Not easy to explain.

I just recognized that there are some honor guard units are only alvable in campaign.Is that was planned before or you are not bring them to normal game yet?
Why Eldar honor guard are not attachable?I need one for my Autarch(I alway attach him with Howling Banshee or Warp Spider Squads but not match to Farseer with Seer Council).

Hello All!
I have just joined this forum site because of the pure coincidence of me running into
the Ultimate Apocalypse through youtube, and quickly finding out that it is a simple brilliance!

I've been having great fun but I realize that sometimes my Chaos cultists don't even make a dent

on some of my enemys' buildings. I watched them shooting at it for four minutes, and when their

headquarter finally hit half the Hitpoint, I quit.

Don't know if it's just me, although I tried to find the answer through the first 28 pages, I'm afraid to go on more.

@oneday : first off (this is getting ridiculously redundant), welcome to the forums

As for your question, you need to have the proper units to take out a HQ. Same rule applies when fighting with vehicles, get anti-armor units/weapons and take them out. I find lascannon the best choice for anti-armor. then again, you could just nuke the hell out of your opponents base It makes sense, I mean come one, flashlight (lasgun) denting ceramite (whatever they're called)? that is just insane, you can't damage any wehicle (in WH40k at least) with laser guns...only star wars does that.

-Some weapons and units does not effect on some other units and buildings so it can't take any damage whatever how hard you try.
-You should know that HQ and Armory are the two buildings with highest armor type and Chaos Cultist is tier I unit(do not have any weapon effective on vehicles and buildings) and weak too so you should use them for another purpose like scouting,dealing with another enemy squads or take on other enemy buildings that had lower armor type like Listening Post(if upgraded one or two time,it useless) and Generator.
