    Combining xp1 and xp2 sounds like a good idea to me, though I still think that "actual" should be left as-is. Even though I very much enjoy the bigger resources and number of races, I always find myself playing actual more often. It offers a more slow-paced tactical feeling in contrast to xp1/xp2 instead of charging in with a huge number of elites to micro while at the same time making my base troops feel entirely useless and nearly immediately out-tiered.

    Also, where are my space marine's swords? o.o I see the scouts still use them.

    Hey there peoples, XP2 combined with XP1 is possible. That will be edited in the patch (1.62.52). I was hoping to add A LOT more than that list btw to make game play that much more enjoyable.

    Combined and included. I call it XXP1: Total Destruction of New Races which will now involve Tyranids and Daemonhunters with finally, no limit. It is overwhelming of expansions but it does work.

    So 1.62.52 will involve 'Actual', XP1, XP2, XXP1.

    Following along with the patch, a Dark Eldar Booster Pack will be involved shortly after the patch including all new DE units and revamped and improved Dark Eldar game play.

    I could see Tau or DE being the next booster pack since they seem to be the two races lacking variety in new units. I like the texture and color scheme of the legendary marines btw good job.

    Cylarne_04 I see a new menu was added called Ultimate Apocalypse Legends is this a new campaign or perhaps something to do with the legendary marines?

    What program do most of the 3D modelists use? I use to do models for few games some 7 years ago Im thinking of starting again but dont have money to spare. I used milkshape in the past.

    Cylarne, the army painter screen to be honest.. well.. sucks. that would look better as the first loading screen. and is that the space marine background from dark crusade's hero selection screen? that's just my two cents there.

    I agree with Whiteshield. It doesnt look that good really, the words are blocked out, its too dark and its pretty hard too see the options at the bottom. Also, the company names are cropped. I think it would be better if either u:
    a: the menu backround is put there.
    b( will look cooler imo): the army painter backround becomes like an armory with like those servo arms. It will looked like ur outfitting ur army.

    btw, the main menu screen looks like it has inspiration from tron. lulz, but the main menu UI is good as is. just change the background to be a bit more space-y plz. it looks outta place for a warp storm in the sky and mountains like that. I recommend looking for pix via google. plenty of good source pix there.

    and I like G3N3RAL_GR3IVUS' idea for the army painter background.

    I dont think what were seeing is finished. I also noticed the menu has odd text on the menu but I like the style. The army painter is a bigger problem but the color scheme works but I also think making it an armory would be a nice touch.

    Cylarne_04 Had a 503 Gateway error on IE so my PM was sent twice.

    Oh how ironic. It has nothing to do with the Legendary Marines, it's my own paint scheme.

    Well in the main menu, I was hoping to remove the Soulstorm. The background you see here in the main menu is for a specific expansion. The other two are dark and scary and looks pretty apocalyptic. But that Soulstorm ruins it. Help implied.

    Yeah I'll change up the army painter.

    I second that. I'll work with Jones and make it better (if he helps). He knows how to get rid of that Soulstorm. I'll be sure to credit him.

    I agree, I suggest a different background, we can barely see the details in the unit. I would suggest you to use a different background in the army painter where the focus is the unit not the background itself.

    @Infinity : You mean you are unable to build them? Hmm...never had this one before. But, to be sure, you have two build menus. One is called the advanced build menu whilst the other one s just a build menu. You have to select the latter to build those buildings. Hope this helps but I have a feeling it wont

    @IlBoss : I would assume so. Although, the big boss has all the right to do otherwise

    @Cylarne : PMed you boss.And btw, I'm not overly crazy for the background (army painter). G3N3RAL_GR3IVUS's idea sounds awesome. If it could be implemented, it would make the painting session more pleasurable

    it kinda looks like an Incubus with 4 legs and minus the spear, it fits for the DE. And I can imagine the amount of carnage the thing can cause for the unlucky monkeys that will have to face it

    I do wonder what the walk anims are going to look like. It would be major eye candy if it's implemented perfectly

    To Incubus or to go with Tall Stick Boy? Stick Boy doesn't look too sturdy to me. Look like a well placed ram to two of its legs would easily topple it unless of course the thing moves like a Revenant.

    Which would you all prefer I model I ask because ive started with the first one but would like a sketch of the side, and front. I've already have those screenshots thudmeizer I used them for a rough model but something with more detail of the side and front would help since I havent modeled for years . I've done the center and top and started on the legs I just need a better screenshot to use for duplicating exactness of the tormentor.

    Oh also I would think the second tormentor with stick legs would be easier and quicker to finish modeling lol but would be funny to watch it being animated.

    Also I was wondering if you think making a necron dirge ship is practical or is it to big? I would like to model that and would prefer necrons having some attack fliers like the other races.

    @ Savako: I think you should talk to Demetrius aswell as i know that he's doing also a Tormentor Titan so you guys could work together and avoid doing the same work twice instead of using yer time for another project. For example helping me out doing some more new stuff as i always need some helpy hands by my side ^^ as i have some new IG lads waiting around here to get implemented in game!

    @ Thudmeizer & Profman96: Yeah the Animation for that Tormenter (Especially the first one) will be a real challenge as the legs are obviously in a fixed condition meaning that they won't move in common walker styled way.

    I was wondering if Cylarne_04 could implement something in the campaign. Im always hating how when you build up an army and a base and capture requistion points they disappear when you defend. So instead of having to buy limited buildings you could make it so any building built prior shows up in a fixed position. Since you are always starting in a fixed area if the requistion points around the immediate starting area are captured they should stay that way even with listining posts if built. Also if anyone gets same idea about units I wouldnt recommend it since it wouldnt be entirely balanced.

    Corncobman : Yes it does THANKS YOU just wish the picture had better definition its a bit hazy but it gives me a rough idea on the detail needed and how wide the model will need to be as long as I use the image it will be exact. The details though arent crystal clear but hey no biggie.

    Non Expansion Installation:
    - Remove the older versions of the Apocalypse entirely.
    - Find the downloaded Apocalypse mod you wish to install.
    - Extract all files to...
    - Destination = C:\Program Files\THQ\Dawn of War- Soulstorm. (DOW: Soulstorm game.)

    - Make sure EVERYTHING goes into the Dawn of War: Soulstorm main folder.
    - To play the Apocalypse mod, start up Soulstorm.
    - At main menu, go to Game Manager.
    - Select the Apocalypse mod.
    - Click Activate.
    - A message will appear saying that Soulstorm will restart and change settings.
    - Click ok to continue.
    - Soulstorm will restart itself and then you'll be able to play the Apocalypse.
    - Wala you're all done.

    ------------------------------------------
    Expansion Installation:
    - Download and install a non expansion Apocalypse mod first (Actual). IT IS REQUIRED!!!

    - Wala, you're done.

    Recovery of saved games and paint schemes:
    - All of your saved games and paint schemes that were created in the DOW- Soulstorm profile or any other mod profile are invalid but can be restored.
    - If you haven't created a profile yet, you should probably do so by playing Dawn of War: Soulstorm.
    - Fortunately if you haven't, you can stop reading this and move on to the next section called "bonus items."
    - To restore Saved games and paint schemes, go to...
    C:\Program Files\THQ\Dawn of War- Soulstorm\Profiles.
    - Inside the profiles directory, you can copy and paste paint schemes and saved games from one profile to the next.
    - Go into your profile titled "Profile#", and then select the game that contains your stuff.
    - Select everything within the directory and then copy and paste it all into the apocalypse directory within your Profile directory.
    - Start up the Apocalypse again and then you can play the Apocalypse with your previously saved data.

    To fix hotkeys:
    - Copy the entire text from the file... Apocalypse/data/defprofile/keydefaults.lua. Open keydefaults with notepad.
    - Paste the text to... SSmain/Profiles/Profile# (Which ever profile you use.)/apocalypse (Actual, XP1, and XP2)/keydefaults. Open keydefaults with notepad.
    - Now your hotkeys should work.

    @ demetrius: Yep you did thus i was assuming that you're still doing the Tormentor. I was just abit bumped that hearing that you might have abandoned it against all reason as your progress was going on steady (From the pics yo send me). So let's make it clear now: You're working still on the Tormentor: Yes/no?

    @ Arkagunner328: Be sure to get WinRAR or any other program that can handle .rar filetypes. Then you just go into the soulstorm folder and delete everything which would be usually overridden. This is usually a folder named "Apocalypse" and a file named after the folders name just with a file prefix added on it. In this case "apocalypse.module". In case you have seperate XP[Number here] folders you must also delete them either and the according .module file. As every mod folder has always a .module file which is associated with that (Serving certain purposes but that's techtalk then... ) und must be deleted together. So keep in mind: Every mod has at least 2 files to be replaced/deleted beeing the actual folder with the ressources and the .module file named exactly the same as the mod it refers on. I think that should clarify it out. The reason for the patch to be not dispatched as an installer was that it would be simply too much work to do an installer for every tiny patch/data we release which is enhanced by the fact that we released stuff very often in the past. We'll do still persuate doing installer but only for the REAL big releases when we've did a quantum leap towards a new version number. I hope you get the idea why we kicked the installer this time ;-)

    Necrons Important News!

    Ok, the 1.62.52 patch is done! Woohoo!

    But there is one thing I request from all of you who cannot get Apocalypse XP2: New Races working... please do this so I can release the mod with 100% working satisfaction to the public. I will not release the new version to the public until someone thankfully reports the following... thank you.

    Reason: Well I did the whole process myself (installing the mod version 1.62.51, deleting Tyranids and IDH then reinstall, it works) and I cannot figure out what people have difficulty with. Too many people replied... "This mod doesn't work, help!" "Thought to let you know, the second expansion does not work..." Blah blah blah... Well I want to help you, but nobody ever figures out how it doesn't work... so, I'm ending this... no more complaints. I want to have a fully working XP2. (Even if it is already.)

    IF XP2 is not working, meaning the game fails to activate, and you have BOTH Tyranid mod and Inquisition installed along with the Actual mod (The base mod), and from the correct links I gave you, then do the following...

    1. You will go into the Dawn of War: Soulstorm main game folder and you scroll down to the bottom and open "warnings" with notepad.
    2. Next go to Edit\Find... (ctrl+F) and within the "Find what" textbox, type this... MOD -- Fatal Data Error.
    3. Hit find next, and copy and paste that found text from left to right onto the forums or MODDB. Thank you.

    IF it works fine, then do nothing and wait for the patch.

    Again, I will not release the patch (even though it is done) until someone steps up to the plate and reports EXACTLY what your problem is... thank you.

    I don't know why anyone would have problems with XP2. Both myself and my dad have run it fine, and I even set the Steel Legion to work with it and it still works.

    Christ...Loaded the page saw headline patch 1.62.52 then followed with XP2 news which having had no problems with it makes me wonder. For half a second I thought I would enjoy 1.62.52 today lol omg literally thought to myself YES...NOOO!

    Oh my god man im generally angry how the headline gave me a huge serotonin ripple leading into depression .

    Ok anyway I think the fun mod isnt any better in my opinion its just a lack luster version of ultimate apoc. There is mostly every unit in both mods maybe difference only being textures especially with the team color mod with fun mod. Plus of course balance differences which encountering different unit specs and mayhaps different upgrades. Anyway I downloaded on my mobile hotspot 2 days before data resets a huge file for absolutely no good reason. After playing it im angry I wasted if not over used all my data so I wont be on untill the 26th everyone unless I take my extra pc notebook to starbucks .

    Hi i had the problem with xp2 not working i don't have a clue of what im copying in the warning log -only that i've copied the my last try. hopefully :P-

    I've played xp2 on my computer and i did mess with corsix i tried to set my "modifications" (making space marine a little more powerful and messing a bit with popcaps)
    after that my xp2 won't start i've tried a new clean install on Apoc, IDH, and the Nids. But doesn't work anyway. on a side note i've made the same modifications to the xp1 and it works fine

    Hope its okay to mod a little bit (as i don't distrubute to anyone)

    After months of creepy stalking, I've signed in at long last!

    Mainly motivated to say the following:
    I will not release the new version to the public until someone thankfully reports the following...
    Since I'm a REALLY impatient person, and never had ANY difficulty with XP2, i was like: "This is apocalyptic trolling!" (No offense intended AT ALL, I just got really desperated when i saw that)

    But, I've done something rare for me, I've accepted the facts. Still... Cylarne, GOD OF APOCALYPSE, what can i do to help?!


    ps: THANK YOU, Gods of Apocalypse for the uber view cameras, they marked an before and after in my DoW life. Long live the most epic mod I've EVER played!
