    Hey guys wanted to ask a favor about mp maps, does anyone known of any scar scripted stronghold battle maps for mp?, i have the one for the eldar strong hold but i want the other race battle maps to, does any one know of any more?

    I figured out what was wrong with the Eldar ai. The Eldar ai has some sort of difficulty handling multiple add-ons being dispoiled (if that is a word) throughout the build order strategy corrupting the ai. This affects Imperial Guard as well, along with Dark Eldar, and IDH. Addons created by the new superweapon style game play affects these races and it is really putting these ai races down. Research might be reimplemented instead of these addons and unfortunately the cost of superweapons might be implemented. DOW has some sort of bug with add-ons and it screws around with the gameplay of the Ultimate Apocalypse mod.

    Further news, Thudmeizer might help out as much as possible to find a way around deleting addons for the sake of ai thoroughness and playability. Each race is bugged in this case:

    Eldar: Focuses on building an addon not relevant to the tier and the DOW engine for the ai can not simply handle the amount of addons in this case. Harlequin, Striking Scorpion, Scorpion Super-Heavy, War Walker, Night Spinner, Wraithguard, Revenant Titan, Dire Avenger, and I swear to god there is another are added to gameplay by me, and unfortunately since they are set in 1.62.59 already, these add-ons will permanently effect the ai Eldar by default to either end of the spectrum until removed.

    Imperial Guard: Valkyrie addon, Superweapon, Griffon Mortar, Hydra, Field Medic, and Vox Operator addons effect the Imperial Guard race as well. Sometimes the Imperial Guard never tiers up to tier II out of pure annoyance. They also constantly never go up to tier II on 1024x1024 maps like IDH.

    IDH: Wierdest ai I have ever seen in bugged terms. Randomly goes to tier II or never goes to tier II. Sits and builds at base and turtles like a slow rabbit. Their superweapon addon bugs this race entirely. Confirmed by removing this addon, the ai works fine and actually kills Daemons every time.

    Tyranids: Not bugged in the BETA mod, bugged in ALPHA mod. No concern to you guys but in the Grand Release, problems may occur by the Hierophant's challenge ratings and unit in general bugging the ai at the end to not produce units after tier IV.

    And finally Dark Eldar: Addons. Never tiers up to tier II without setting ai tier stats. at max 5. All of these addons are needed like all other races.

    Apparently while testing, Space Marines, Tau, Chaos, Daemons (Not in public version), Sisters, Orks, Necrons, and any other race besides the above mentioned work fine with these addons. These races are perfect for the challenge ratings of the Apocalypse Mod. More strategies will be available in developement later for all races.

    Lastly, no matter how much I patch up the BETA, the Ultimate Apocalypse ai mentioned bugged races will remain bugged until those add-ons from the core mod (non patch) are removed. Which means at our biggest concerns, another Complete Collection will be released in the future. Finding out all of this crap with DOW makes me sad. Addons for ai in DOW are bugged all over. No matter how experienced you are with the ai, AE code affects the ai in some particular way. Thank you for reading this long message.

    Khorne_1984: If the 2 mod creator team allow it, then copy the apocalypse folder to the survival folder. In the scar folder you can modify the attacking waves, but you must use the units names from the data\attrib\races folder.

    Actually, (at least I'm sorely mistaken here) as long as you keep it on your system, you can fiddle with mods as much as you please. Now if you want to make it public, that's a whole other story (getting permissions, crediting the original authors, etc).

    lil edit: What is that demetrius? It looks Imperium-ish. At first I saw what I think it's a cyclone missile launcher, but then twin linked autocannons? Which unit has so much dakka? Techpriest Terminators? Oh holy Omnissiah that'd be AWESOME!

    edit 2: I just remembered about those gridkeys two pages ago... I completely forgot about them :/
    Anyone still interested? I barely started taking notes on where each unit/research was, and it's not like I don't have nothing to do, so they won't be ready very soon. Still, I'll only do them if there's people interested (I wouldn't use them and noting each unit/research location isn't exactly fun).

    Yes that is currently my way of doing things unfortunately except I copy the stuff from the survival to the apocalypse and fiddle the scars to allow the UA commanders in game instead of the campaign commanders originally.

    I have sent the stuff I did so far to Argonaut, I think he's finishing up his latest version of the survival mod now. If he revamps the code, it would be better to wait a bit for his version. What I have tested so far are all of the races except the tau who I can't get to work as the enemy(always scar error on start) and I haven't tried multiplayer yet. Been a bit busy lately and can't get as much time as I like on this little project.

    On a side note, assault battlefield http://dawnofwar.filefront.com/file/...tlefield;97867 actually works in UA after a few minor tweaks to the scar (as usual). Basically what I experimented privately is with the removal of the grey knights and heavy bolter space marines from the space marines spawn list, the map can actually work from start to finish. Of course there's only vanilla dow enemies to kill which our all mighty super units can exterminate with extreme prejudice.

    IMO, the contemptor shld also be available for chaos since it is a pre-heresy design and it also adds more units XD. How about making the compemptor as a secondary commander if that is possible since they are not as common as regular dreadnought and they have probably tens of thousands years experience.

    I completely agree on Chaosy Contemptors and them being more skilled than regular dreads, but... even more secondary commanders? Don't get me wrong, I like secondary commanders, but let's take in count that relic units also are included on the Hero UI on UA.
    And with the addition of more and more titans and the like, soon even 8 won't be enough.

    When i played with Tau Empire,i constructed Arka ion cannon,i upgraded cannon add-ons and when i got Focused Ion Blast ability,i activated it,but it has no effect on the enemy.I click it and nothing,it just recharges.
    PS:Can you set Dawn of war II soundtracks again in the mod?It was soo epic to play the mod with them,especially Chaos soundtracks.

    On a side note, the Apocalypse Mod team is not in charge of the Daemonhunters mod, XP2/New Races/how you want to call it needs it to run but the UA mod and the Daemonhunters mod are separate projects from different people.


    @ demetrius: I have indeed seen screenies of a Warlord titan (which is bigger and shootier than the Reaver) in UA's ModDB page. But just implementing a Emperor/imperator class titan sounds like somehow excessive challenge even for this mod, because think about it this way: How would you counter that thing? Aside from not being quite what you call "easy" to maneuver on most maps.

    There is some SAD news going on within the AMT. I won't be modding for a long time until my doctor says otherwise, this is probably going to be my last message for a while. I am unable to mod without my broken bones being in pain, especially my middle finger which is completely broken. Yes I was in a car accident yesterday, how fun.

    Wow, this is appalling. Apocalypse makes up half of the noise in this board, as opposed to other, quieter geniuses at work. It's definitely going to feel lonelier here, although Cylarne will most definitely be back sooner than we think. Good luck to you and thanks for everything ProfMan. I believe somebody should put one of these 'in memoriam' things here, or in the mod's readme or in MODDB or wherever. It would be nice.
