I'm sorry to say this, but this mod is almost unplayable for me. I've tested most of the races now but the tooltips are so screwed up that the Necron units don't even have names. Instead, they have descriptions like the scarabs are "this allows the unit to deepstrike..." etc. The new buildings/abilities are completely No range errors so I have no idea what they do until I build/use them.
Can someone please help me? I can't be the only one with a steam version of soulstorm
@Icezera: Althought there are some descriptions wrongs most of them are right, using steam version too. About the no range errors aybe these are because the language files, Psykotenshi posted the fix for that a while ago
There should be a game mode where only snipers and infantry can be built. basicly trench warfare minus trenches.
oh yes. and machine guns. and grenades, and flyers have no weapons, only used for spotting....BASICLY...WW1 for DOW...maybe WW2. Idk. I love the WW1>DOW idea tho

On ModDB you will notice some model concepts from well before your time of playing 40k as I have been doing it for excess of 20 years, so my personal development covers a lot more material then the last 2 editions of images you have posted.
If you would revise your post as to models you can not find it would really help us model developers.
Also give us some feedback to give us better success.

Might I suggest models other then forgeworld ingame as forgeworld development is till immature and plaguristic like the decimator plagurized warmachine.

I know a bit back to talked about looted concepts
I want to make a suggestion towards looted vehicles, for the orks, most ork vehicles are always battle damaged, have peices of metal "stapled" (plasticard) and more guns every where; here my suggestion of what the ideal looted vehicle looks like
Notice the ram-shackled appearance and how the battle cannons seem bent, also look at the ork skull with the the domolisher cannon coming out of the eye ( this seems slightly universal as it related to the eye of mork on ork titans ) with most sponson bolters some times replaced with big shootas

if you implement the Terminus landraider please make it so that each time it fires there is a chance that it could take damage or explode like the IG psykers ablity or make it have a feasible "cooldown" between shoot because Apocalypse is about massive battle and TITANS with so more and more titan killer unites being implemented or conceptualized its no fun if my super heavy units or mid teir armor vehicles are just sniped away 10 lascannons while my opponent sits there looking like this:

if i may make a suggestion towards the kill cannon battle fortress (please forgive me if i seem ignorant i have no actual knowledge of modeling or modding i am simple one who enjoys the brainchild of pure win that is the UA mod) so i say this all from literal/theoretical kitibashing as if i was going to make for table top, so here i go
The base of the model is a landraider with the front of the battle fortress that you could "extract"? from the current battle fortress in the game, the cannon you can take from a basilisk, the giant cylinder on the back can be taken from a bane blade and you already have dozer blades that and some sponson guns can be gotten from the battle fortress as well?, but don't forget the waaagh banners you can use the one on the looted russ or goregutz waaagh banner
lastly a suggestion for the Stompa, i heard UA was looking for a new model and if you dont want to make walking animations...

Hello, I recently know MOD Dark Prophecy and I was surprised chaos units, I would like you (the mod team) add them if is possible. Ah and the kustim stompa too.
Please help me! I went and downloaded the tools from http://modstudio.corsix.org/ and got the 0.5.5. version. Hopefully that is the correct one so that I can fix this annoying problem and fully enjoy Apocalypse

There is a text in Apocalypse Mod Miscellaneous folder, that explain how fix ***no range*** text, thanks to cosmocrat. Copy the english folder in BETA_Apocalypse/locale/english, rename the copy to your languaje and voila!

Hello I have a problem, with my new pc I install dawn of war series and the last ultimate apocalyspe mod, but when I choose this mod the game say met "activation failure" what is the problem? thanks

No i try to activate apocalypse mod new races it doesn't work, and apocalypse mod the same problem, yes I've IDH mods and tyrannid mod installed, and they works

Yes they are in my folder, I've installed the mod with the lasted download version
ODD. I was sure that was it. Then the good old way to point out thee culprit of mod crashyness. Make a new shortcut to your Soulstorm executable and add this to the end of the "Target" field:
It should end up looking like this (for example, drive letter and directory name may vary, specially on a Steam install):Code:-nomovies -modname BETA_Apocalypse_NR
Then, when launch ss from that shortcut and after it crashes, go to your ss dir and look for a "warnings.log" file.Code:"C:\Program Files (x86)\Dawn of War Soulstorm\Soulstorm.exe" -nomovies -modname BETA_Apocalypse_NR
Open it and simply scroll down to the bottom of the logfile and copy pasta the last few lines (about 15 should do) in a post. I can't guarantee I'll be able to fix it, but if no-one here can, you computer must be tainted by Chaos.
A suggestion:
Implement corrupted gaurdsmen into the Chaos faction,
Now before you say the cultists take care of that hear me out, reduce the number or possible squad member for corrupted gaurd in relation to a standered gaurd squad in IG and give access of the gernade launchers and plasma gun to only them in exchange the cultists can still infiltrate and cap points

It seems that something is modified in it. If I read it correctly it says that the target_type_name of the health_maximum_modifier.lua has an invalid value.
When I look there with Corsix then it shows nothing in there, so that could be the problem. Thus there is not supposed to be a value in there.
Can anyone tell me if I'm correct since I'm not sure.
Sounds like a bad download on the mod. modifiers\health_maximum_modifier.lua directs to the turret upgrades, so it's actually missing the files for the Necron turret.
If I'm not mistaken, uploading the specific file that (seemingly) got corrupted on neophus' download would save him the wait of having to download the whole mod again, right?
Thing is I lack the knowledge/am too lazy to get that file for him (since it doesn't show up on a derp-simple windows search on the mod folder).
So, my question is (yes I like to solve other people's tech problems): What exactly should be replaced on his mod folder to fix this (in order to not have to re-dl the whole thing)?
A similar issue with health_maximum_modifier.lua occurred to me when I tried to experiment with the files of the MOD. Unfortunately I was not able to solve it but I am sure it happened due to some missing files.
NOTE: Although I checked ALL .rgd references (and all extensions and tables or even possible missing assets) I failed to solve it...
I think we need a code expert like Chiu here...

I'm getting "Failed to activate requested game" yet again. However unlike last year, I am damn sure that I have everything that is required.
I installed the Tyranid mod, then the IDH mod. I then installed the UA mod 1.62.59 (think thats it), then applied the 1.62.6 patch. It worked without a fuss with the Steam version, but with the retail version I bought, it is causing a big fuss! Any ideas guys??
