    well the battle fortress also has tiny orks on top that don't look right lol almost same size as gretchins. But i see your point xD

    The Orks on vehicles I'm fine with(as, their on a vehicle) it bugs me to see Orks bigger then a Warboss as:"No onez bigga or badder den da Warboss"

    "the only thing bigger and scarier then an Ork is a Nob and bigger and scarier then him is a Warboss" lol.

    This is a really cool mod, but I'm having some trouble playing as Chaos. I haven't played Dawn of War 1 for a few months and I'm totally out of it!

    What are some builds that resident Chaos players have found effective?

    I enjoyed fielding multiple Land Raiders as Daemon Hunters though. I must say, that was rather amusing.

    My chaos build.....honestly i don't even think i have one. I play in the moment xD

    Usually aim towards mark of tzeentch, get a load of whatever their troops are. Fit them with inferno bolts and yay! xD
    I dont use demons much except for the titans. And a few defilers can't go amiss xD

    But generally i find the fun in playing is doing it different every time.

    Yeah Cylarne's da man now but never forget about the fact that we were not here talking about the apocalypse without your efforts of creating the apocalypse! You're a pioneer of awesomeness who just found the ancient lands of win and ownage!

    Yes i made the AEONIC ORB out of Thudmeizers concepts he provided me. And it's the first and only yet real SHOOP-DA-WHOOP-IMMA-FIRIN-MAH-LAZOR Unit found in DoW available for the Necrons.

    One new possible new races to be added would be the Daemonhost Army from the DAWN OF COALESCENSE Mod so we're in touch with the team that developes it (Ironwarrior42 and his buddies).
    I am not really sure what happened to Prof. Genius and ssmb_10 as they vanished as quickly as they came up here in the forums.
    Souldrinker, RT2 and MonkeyXXL are our new external volunteers/helpers that help us improving the Apocalypse wherever it's possible! So goes many thanks to them yet as to any other who contributed here in this forum/thread!

    So anyway it's good to see you again sir and have a nice Time here!

    And I did decide to take a break from modding... for a week or two, so it's sleeping. By the way, I need someone to keep track of complaints or any needed corrections to take place for mod perfection. I won't be on all the time so I need someone, preferably RT2 or SoulDrinker to take that job, write down people's wants and needs and just send me a pm or something when you're done. Thank you sirs.

    So I just played 1.62.5 and... the mod is awesome! I'll rate it, 100,000,000 out of 10! Apologies though, I wasn't looking for bugs, cause the mod is simply amazing, bravo!

    The reason too why the limit is 150 is because there is no increase population cap modifier like there is squad and support caps. So for balance in regular games it stays at 150 for now. But now, XP1 contains 999 population, so check that out. I fixed the scale of the Lootas.

    what is TC?

    I normally play this with just friends(It's ok if I make a private mod project out of this right? just for me and and everyone I know, 2-3 people essentially who actually play DoW) lol.

    I would love to see the loota released, because, really he was just the one who needed fixed.

    What about Guard? they use buildings(their barracks structure) to increase their pop, not to mention they can garrison soldiers in it and with enough it shoots out plasma and lasbolts.

    what's the difference? the only thing i see here is a 62 Guardsmen are equal to 10 Boyz or 5 Nobs in pop, but, the Guardsmen would chew through them really fast, it don't really matter though, as I'm unlimiting just about everything(taking away population requirements that is, but leaving Titans and such limited to just 1)

    Of course, lol, I don't know why I'm complaining, as I'm going to make population more to my liking later, lol.







    the only valid complaints I had was for the loota to be resized, and to have a way to return the Berzerker's and everyone else's color.

    @Gorgutz: There is a difference between the population and the squad cap actually as it is two different functions of cap and resource. Population is a resource, which means it is not a squad cap. There is the red Ork resource and there is the orange, both are technically resources mate. But the point is, the Ork resource CANNOT be increased maximum-ally as Relic did not make any modifiers for it in the first place, hense the bug of annoyance which cannot be changed.

    Believe me when I say I hate the Ork resource, but I tried to remove it before and I mean 1.19 AND 1.58 before, so I ended up bugging the whole taskbar with errors. Until a modifier for this specific Ork resource is created, it will be bugged.

    Alternatively, I made the population cap to say... 999, but limited the Waagh Banners so it would not go beyond the limit I wanted it to go on from. But unfortunately, you guessed it, why this? Why that? Oh, the frustration, somewhere in page 3, I told Cylarne to remove the limit because everybody was complaining. I recommend you do this. Yeah Waagh Banners are limited, but you still got INFINITE TURRETS. I hope that helped.

    However, the Lootas are that big of a deal? Anyways, it's "fixed" like Cylarne said.

    I was hoping for a "quick fix" but oh well, lol um, is there any way I can reverse the coloring for myself and friends? usually what happens is I download the mod, then I modify it to suit my needs, then I distribute it to me friends, who play it with me.


    I don;t like seeing Black rubric Marines, or Berzerker's, and since you want to keep it that way for the mod, I would appreciate it if I had a way to reverse it.

    for well, Berzerker's, rubric Marines, Plague Marines and Noise Marines(what would be nice is if it were like Tabletop to an extent) like, I could paint a Chaos Marine black, and it only affect Chaos Marines, so that way I could paint maybe a Terminator white(if I really wanted to) to bad army painter don't work like that, or else I wouldn't be able to complain, lol.

    @Cylarne - That bloody crash i was experiencing while upgrading to terminator armour on the commander is happening again. I'm going to try work out why the hell its happening, where can i find crash logs?

    Also @Kronus - I can only assume you've seen but if you haven't this here shows the level of community input in the mod that Cylarne has done. I'm rather impressed with his efforts and can see you are lol

    I have a suggestion to perhaps improve the campaign (or maybe you could help me do it myself as i have Corsix mod studio):

    Regarding reinforcing friendly provinces with buildings, i was wondering if you could import some of your more advanced buildings into the selection, e.g. vehicle-producing buildings (like the machine cult and mechanized command), apocalypse buildings and maybe even more turrets and generators?

    As i said, if you'd feel more comfortable offering me advice on how to do this myself - it would be much appreciated.

I play against two opponents in easy and modify the AI control to generate all kinds of units, I think since version 1.62 AI don´t works well !!!in easy!!!,someone can take a look.Ah when the mod team is recovered for the next version, I will pray to the dark gods for the lord of change. sorry my english and good luck.

    If I could figure out how to create new races, Chaos would be rather divided.



    Of course, I'm not even sure what to replace really.... I REALLY want to have all the originals back in my game(red Berzerker's, blue Rubrics, green Plague's) but I'm not sure what to replace...

    Ok, I have detailly looked at all the factions, except for the Space Marines and the Imperial guard cause I really don't like them in global. :P

    First of all the mod is awesome, and I will try to help by a few suggestions and if you need anything in the field of 2D art I can help.

    Well lets start:

    Global:

    1. The fact that we can recruit honor guards in every map is kinda a down for me. Somehow deceases their importance...

    2. The building models of all apocalypse buildings are from the campaigns faction home territories (except for the necrones and orcs). That kinda ruins the uniqueness of them a bit. Why not use different models. For instance in the Soulstorm Legions mod they use the bloodpit as a unique building for chaos from Winter assult and the sorcerer can build it. It adds uniqueness to the faction and the game in whole. So maybe something can be improvised for the factions here in that way (except for the necrones and orcs).

    3. I loved the UI system in soulstorm Legions mod so maybe you could implement that it's really genially done.

    4. Would be nice if some research for the new units where implemented.

    Factions:

    Chaos:

    - Maybe restrict the demons and the special marines the same way as you restricted heroes. For instance Chaos undivided can build all but all units are weaker, Mark of Nurgle gives you Plaguebearers and Plague Mrines. Mark of Slaanesh gives you demonnetes and Noise makers, etc...

    Necrons:

    - Nothing, hey are as perfect as can be.

    Tau:

    - Maybe add the mounted knarloks from SS Legions mod.

    Orcs:

    - Maybe switch the Slugga boys from the HQ with the gretchin pirates from Tabletop roundabout mod.

    Eldar:

    - The Eldar guardians are soewhat redundant to Storm guardians.

    Sisters:

    - Maybe add the Inquisitor and Gray Knights together with new building form SS Legions mod.

    Space Marines and Imperial guard:

    - Don't care for them. :P

    Well hope I helped a bit and if you need any 2D art done just ask and ye shall receive.

    Once again phenomenal mod guys, truly a masterpiece.

    I meant the buildings where you build honor guards and research apocalypse.
    They are all the buildings that appear in the Campaign on the faction home territories.

    Mainly:

    Tau: The big cannon;

    Chaos: The Portal;

    Eldar: The Portal;

    Dark Eldar: The Portal;

    Sisters: The Portal from the Dark Eldar with the sister banner on it. :P

    That ruins the uniqueness of those buildings in the campaign for me at least.

    P.S. And I don't think that they should be gone just replaced. For example as I said Chaos POrtal with the Blood pit. And the mage could build it just to add a little uniqueness.

    Master Necro: I also like the Blood pit! although... to add it, it should have something special... which I had an idea on for months! (don't know if Cylarne remembers it). It is just very hard to do that! but I truly like that building. and for DE, I already had an idea on that. SoB... no... not really, SM, too, not really, IG... yeah... well, only other building I could think of would be the Basilisk Magnus.

    Harr harr. Well, idk. I agree with Cylarne though, the Arka and Eldar's Enhanced Webway is pretty cool. Replace those portals with something else then and we're good to go. Now that I think about it though, I guess honor guards are a bad idea after all. But what would replace them? What else would the super structures build? I'd say mess with the super structure basics much later and focus on bugs.

    Played as Tyranids, I think you should mae them turrets upgradeable like other races and perhaps change their weapon area of effect from all to enemy. Your Tyranid troops get blasted by your own turrets lad. Also, you forgot the... darn it what's it called? You forgot the jump damage thing with the Raveners and Trygons.
