    That is right, you saw right!!!!
    For those of you who do not know what the Grand Release is all about, you should be ashamed, I'll tell you all about it. The Grand Release has been worked on for over two years!!!! It is far different than these old beta versions of the mod such as 1.62.59, 1.6, 1.61 and etc. up to 1.62.65! The Grand Release is no patch, it is THE finale of the Ultimate Apocalypse series!!!! It is now available for download after you have understood the terms of use. What terms of use?

    not one of the largest fans of ss, simply bought the game just so I had the full DoW series, but for this mod I've gotten the disk back out and put it back on, also gave me a reason to play IDH and kill a few traitors
    There's three types of folks in this world, those who serve the Emperor willingly, those who serve the Emperor unknowingly, and those who stand in the way of the Emperor's armies..you better hope your the first two.

    TC DOOMSDAY MONOLITH: something funny. To make the current doomsday TC, simply copy paste your TC'd monolith textures to the NPC race folder. Then rename to nec_monolith01.rsh, nec_monolith02.rsh, nec_monolith01_default.wtp, and nec_monolith02_default.wtp

    apparently, the WA monolith textures have a lot in common with the DC one.

    Oh Im sure your roommate will be quite happy with the DE. Now, thanks to the Apocalypse mod team, I can give u my 99.0099% guarantee that they will kick ass! They've definitely been molded into the raiding kind of race. Quick strikes, killer melee and fast vehicles. Not so much on new units, but definitely new buildings. They're more of a darker, sinister mirror image of the Eldar.

    As for the dissing Cylarne, ignore it. You have all the time you want. As for all of you fans out there, I'm telling you, there aint a mod out there that can kick this mod out of existence. In terms of scale, battles have been bigger and more explosive. With the inclusion of the devastating vehicles in-game, It'll be an apocalyptic showdown with friends and even the ai.
    There's a lot more units in-game (of course, not so much for DE and SoB), more variey, more strategy. Especially when it gets messy... Spamming Elite units wont do u any good. For the first time ever, this mod, this awesome mod brings more strategic depth into DoW SS. In conclusion this mod is....no doubt...the mod of the century. The wait is worth it. Trust me

    @Profman96 - you're crazy. FOK is the mod of the century. this mod only has the Doomsday Monolith as its only unique model. Most of the models seem to be from FoK and other sources. This mod has good abilities for units though. but in all honesty, can never compare to FOK.

    @Whiteshield - okay okay, point taken. Although in my defense, I did say this is the best mod of the century for Soulstorm. Not DC, although if I said this is the mod of the century for all DoW games then well, I am bonkers. FoK, is a great mod, and I'm still waiting for it to go to Soulstorm.

    Got it! Deepstriking venerable dreads is insanely awesome!



    One thing I've noticed - Playing imperial guard seems to get a CTD every time a vehicle is built for teh first time. I've tried it on two separate PC's with the same result in both skirmish and LAN. Anybody else experience this? Any ideas how to prevent?

    Is it ok to play the mod with the maps I download from the internet? I like play 4on4 with the map which has only one way to the enemy base.
    FOK mod is awesome, but I don't like the rule of table game.

    @CYLARNE - You do know the TECHMARINE MODEL is out right?... Something I did ---> Apparently, you can deepstrike a venerable dreadnought using a techmarine like a orbital relay of a sort.

    @SHADOWWOLF - both of us then. I never liked the table top rules. the good thing is that they allowed us to use their models for our own mods. you gotta appreciate their EPICness

    As a new addition to this mod team I feel obliged to answer your questions

    @ChrismM - the team are working on expansions that will include both the Demonhunters and Tyranids. Although the release will take a long time. For now enjoy this already more that Epic mod. I don't know anything about the black templars though. U should wait for Cylarne's answer. If I'm right, the Apocalypse team ha asked permission...although I can't be sure if it was a yes. But judging from the Screenies with IDH in 'em, I think it was a yes.

    @Herro - I'll check on it, didn't happen to me while beta-testing. I'll give IG a go see.

    @shadowwolf - you can play it on whatever map you want. I've played on a fair few of Urban maps and nothing bad has happened.

    HOLY SH**! The progress in this Forums went somehow... OUT OF CONTROL!! I feel like there have already about 50 post passed since my own last one. So i want to kick-in back into the diskussion! First overall welcome you Profman to the Team (Well the Apocalypse spreads like a Virus uh?)! And Whiteshield ist right about the Models we've used from other Mods. But you ahve to remind that we've done everything from 1.58.0 to 1.6 within one month and fairly a half! So the reasen why i we haven't more unique models done right now is the basically complex procedure of extracting units and bringing them back into the Game. For me the OE workflow does munch away the most time as it lacks comfort functions that make life easier (Just an example: Every single small FX needs an entry in the events list assigning the actual FX and potential markers. Every markers needs it's own event entry and copying them with numeric progress is not implemented (It does just fx,fx_copy,fx_copy_copy...etc) so you have to rename every tiny bit into the desired form.)

    Bu i'll do my best to get some new unique Models out for use asap. As there is yet only the Doomsday and another cool Unit (which is on standby) that are done so far. But we're doing our best to focus on rather own creations than other ones to make this mod more...personal. So i hope i was able to bring some light into the darkness for you all of what we're doing actually in our hidden caverns were the Apocalypse was forged!

    @COSMORAT - The Doomsday Monolith I learned was using textures close to the existing ones for Dark Crusade after a brief comparison to the ones in WA. A simple copy paste and rename was all it needed.

    Other than that^^. The Techmarine is within the mod. It was my intention to add that addition. And what's up with the TC Doomsday? Waiting ever so patiently.

    Oh and Jones. Is it ok if I use the Black Templars in XP2. Will you be credited = yes. What I have planned on doing just like Krronus is link the requirements to your mod and have your mod as well be downloaded along with the Daemonhunters and Tyranids. XP2 will require your mod as well.

    Yeah, I have no idea why. All tanks but the Eradicator and Demolisher are bugged. Reason: The weapons they have crash the computer. WTF! I can't fix this without beta version 1.59.97. Profman and Cosmocrat, for god sakes do not remove that version. Send me all IG weapons in mail please. I guess a patch will be released soon. A patch only including the fixes of them bugged weapons.

    Just a couple of bugs I noticed with the space marines. When you upgrade to one of the Landspeeder Variants (Not the Missile One), Its ability claims to let you reach Tier 4.... As Chaos. Also, is the Tier 4/5 Structure for the Marines supposed to be the "Great Warp Portal" (mostly wondering because its not very flavoursome.)

    Also the emperor's champion... Calling his ability the Psychic Inquisition is rather rather wierd when they basically try and hunt down all psykers. Range on the Orbital Bombardment from the Apocolypse Structure seems rather short, unless its meant to be shooting within bolter range of it.

    PROFMAN! I know it's not your fault but I really NEED that version to fix 1.6 from the horrible crash.

    In addition Eldar NightSkimmer Jetbikes will get their fx added.

    EDIT: I just fixed the crash. The hunter killer missile equipped onto all battletanks were bugged. Now it works. Everyone, you need this file here in order to spawn the Leman Russ Tanks without crashing...

    @demetrius: You lost me both times. For the titan, you mean the color scheme blends with the IG and SM army? All Ork titans don't seem funny to me.

My friends and I played a LAN match and I personally lost 15,000 troops and WON. Now that is something worth saying You guys have made the Apocalypse possible on DOW

    @Slimbuddha: Hey long time no chat. 15000 troops!!!!!!! And this is just 1.6. Still got a long ways to go until 2.0. Though I highly doubt I'll be around to see 2.0. I wonder what it'd be like in the future. One thing is for sure, XP2 will be out in 2011 and before February! I hope and think. I'm just guessing here. But I'd like to see it before then and by the gods I'll try hard. Though I really need a break, my hands are killing me from modding.

    As to XP1, nevermind I have the readme to tell me what to do and the changes Krronus made. XP1: Total Destruction (1.6) will be out in less than two days for all of you no limit fans.

    Everyone, feel free to post bad a$$ screenshots. I'll do the same. I feel that this needs more than words and smilies. Entertaining too I must say. Maybe we could have a showdown for the best screenshots ever!!!!

    @Demetrius: I feel that the Orc titan is good enough. The damage it deals is far soooo gooood! And thus it can be deepstriked. Na, I like Kustim Stompa. I like it a lot. It stays.

    Hey guys. Been a long time since I last posted. I've seen many mods rise and fall on these forums: Tyranid Mod, Splinterfleet, FoK, etc...

    But you guys stuck to it and have done a superb job with this mod. It was actually enough to bring me back into DoW, and every game just FEELS like an honest-to-god war. So many "Holy Sh#t!" moments to be had. Best of all, it seems like after the IG patch this mod is relatively bug free, unlike many other mods out there. Most of the problems now seem to be cosmetic issues and not game-breaking crashes. I was, however, a little surprised when Chaos Warp Storm was able to vaporize my opponent's base in one blow though... guess he shouldn't have let me tech that high...

    I think the Necrons deserve a grand entrance too. Perhaps make the title called "Ultimate Apocalypse: Rise of the Necrons" <-- Aye, aye.


    Arka Cannon: Yeah a long time ago we had this issue and well, it couldn't be solved so we moved on to other important things that need be patched in order for the success of 1.6 to happen. Cosmocrat can tell you the absolute details about the Arka Ion Cannon if you're interested?

    Fiction Apocyptical amounts of TEXT!

    I see it's time for da Boss to show up . Sorry for my lesser activity as i had much to do this week and the following won't be such different in that way of learning for studies, familiy events, christmas gifts/tree, even more family events and the new year! So i am really busy right now but i want to tell what what's coming up in the Mod in the future!

    To the Ar'Ka first. Yes it was supposed to turn and fire upon that direction (Just cosmetical). But as i was jsut a beginenr in modding i wasn't abled to do the proper animations, conditions, clauses etc. As this is also was just a minor issue, this project was freezed then.

    To the Necrons. So far i've recognized they're done so far but there is still one unit which needs some extra portion of work as this will be the perfect round-up for the necrons giving them the firepower they deserve .

    To the other races. As we've actually added all units which fit the best it's now my task to do some additional artwork especially for the Apocalyptical Fortress as some seem inappropriate or are somewhat placeholders. My ideas so far:

    Orks: The Tellaporta! A bigger structure that looks like junkyard. But don't let you eyes trick you as it's a fully functional teleporting device do bring the bigger Warmachinez onto the Battlefield and Gitz from other Planetz!

    Space Marines: The War Fortress! A building build from many modules to safely bring the best of the best from your chapter onto the Field to purge the enemy off the Map.

    IG: The Adeptus Titanicus landing Bay! When things get desperate and ordinary Units fail to do their Jobs then you need the bigger guns from the Adeptus Titanicus! So who you gonna call?...

    SoB: The Great Inquisitorial Church! Sometimes are prayers are not enough! Then the Inquisition is close at hand giving you the tools necessary to scorch the land!

    To XP1. This will be only for those whom the ordinary Apocypse ist not enough! No limits! No bounds! No Mercy... (!WARNING!+++ It has been reported that some cogitator units have overdriven and exploded violently while running this application! Use at own risk!+++)

    To XP2. No clue about that! It's too far in the future. I may ask the next Eldar farseer near me!

    So i hope that's enough text so far and answers some to all of your questions. But don't nail me on that as time is not on my side yet
