i am sorry if some of you got somehow disappointed by the content of the patch as we might haven't made it clear enought, that this patch should only be a bugfixing one (I think we've got the victim of our own success didn't we? Releasing stuff in patches like we did before made people thinking it's a standart ^^). But I must say that you have to wait patiently for new Units as i am responsible to make some but i am currently busy as hell working on my examinations (Already learning all day for a month and a half) and for Units from other Modteams we'll have to ask for permission first which also needs some decent time depending on how fast the other team responds to our pm's. And no we don't simply take the work of others and ask lateron for permission as doing this is highly disgraced by other modders for obvious reasons. Not talking about the problem with limited build slots in buildings.
But to feed ya i can tell ya what is laying around here on my PC like almost completed models or things which are only planned yet (with some minor progress). So the WIP-Stuff which kinda likely might appear in future releases are:
Eldar Phantom Titan (Model by Shingouki needs tweaking)
Eldar Cobra Super-Heavy Tank (Only base file was created yet)
Necron Void Dragon (First version done but needs some rework as the first version refuses to get exported yet cuz of mesh flaws)
Eldar Warlock Titan (Model by Shingouki needs tweaking)
Imperial Reaver Titan (Very Basic version done and in-game-ready)
Imperial Warlord Titan (Some basic work done by demetrius so no in-game ready content, i can't speak for Winterdynes old Warlord meshes)
Grey Knights Nemesis Dreadknight (Model is done by Demetrius but needs game optimization cought* ...Polycount... cought*)
Imperial Guard Elysian Drop/Storm Troopers (Models by Whiteshield need some work to get in-game)
Necron Tomb-Stalker (Needs to be completely reworked by me in order to get in-game)
XV-202 "Mako" Battlesuit (Everything regarding modelling is done and i actually started to make necessary animations and OE stuff for it)
XV-9 "Hazard" Suit (Is completely done and in-game but suffers some glitches which i want to correct first before we release it)
This all and not to mention possible tweakings of old models, new buildings and all the stuff!
This needs huge amounts of time and i hope that you can understand why we can't release new units in EVERY tiny patch though i must admit it would be awesome but as i am the only modeller in the mod team my time is limited. Thus i am always watching out for help in form of new modellers! For those of you who are interested but don't want to spent huge amounts of cash for the CAD Programs i advise you trying out "Blender","GMax" and "Milkshape" which are free of charge and you can make some models which can be used by 3DS MAX users to actually import them to DoW.
The best way getting a unit into DoW is making it yourself ! So start modelling today! Believe me it's uber awesome if you actually figure out how to use the programs properly! Actually the most powerful lego set available xD.
