    Need Advice on Decent Headphones

So I have terribad luck with headphones(lost two pair so far), so I am done trying to figure out it out I need help.

    What I am looking for:
I am some what of an audiophile but I am not crazy with it, I am looking for a pair of headphones that sound good but won't break my bank account when I buy them. These head phones will primarily be used for gaming purposes and I can game for hours on end so they NEED to be comfortable.

    Additional info:
-No microphones please! I have an excellent mic already and I hate having that thing in front of my face.

-Past two head phones:one was a Sennheiser HD202 but I only got a year out of them (they were cheap :P) and they hurt my ears when I wore them. Second were Skullcandy Hesh headphones, utter crap. That is all.

Also anyone have an experience with wireless headphones?

    Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Price range is $50-$150 price range is a bit flexible upwards though :P

Hd 202s are at least 80 bucks so I gather thats your range.

I've been using a hd 600 with no end in sight and love it but its an expensive set. THe hd 595 is much cheaper and allegedly equal in performance. It goes for 150 new and maybe about 100 bucks refurbished or used. I'd look for a refurb.

If you go wireless, make it bluetooth or nothing. I tried a simple radio wireless headset and it was awful. I could never walk more than 5 feet from the base without mad static kicking in.

Opps I was thinking the hd 280s when I said that. 202s are dirt cheap.

I myself am an Audiophile and I take gaming sound just as critical as the music that I produce.
my gaming rig is connected to a pair of Event BAS 20/20 Recording Monitors as well as to a pair of Cerwin Vega 18" 3 way system so my sound is nice and tight.

If you have ever been to a NightClub that has a Cerwin Vega sound system and would like to have that same type of sound in a headphone then there are only 2 headphones that will literally reproduce the sound of a pair of Vegas strapped to your head...if can ever find them.

Go on the hunt for Koss HV1A & HV/1LC.

I have had both and still have a pair of the HV1A's

Years ago you could go to an Audio store and comparison test Headphones.

Now the general public has been watered down into just buying anything thats advertise as a good sound rather than actually listening to them before you buy the product, not knowing what they are really missing out on.
strange...as wonderfull as it may be,i'm still...up here... floating...and no one even seems to notice.
