Hello all. I'm actually posting this for my dad, who isn't the most computer savvy person on the planet. I have been unable to resolve his problem so far.
He has an issue where big, black boxes are appearing on screen in place of certain things, which I am assuming is supposed to be special effects like large gunfire and explosions.
I have tried setting the resolution down as low as it can go, and turning every single graphic setting to low or off, if possible, rebooted many times, reinstalled, etc.
The game is the Steam version, if that matters. I had my dad delete the game and reinstall it, as well as verified the integrity of the game files (option in Steam menu).
Anyone ever heard of anything remotely like this? First time I haven't been able to find a game issue with a Google search.
Thanks in advance. Really hoping we can nail this down, since I convinced him to get this so we can play together.
