World of Tanks V - V for Vendetta

  1. The Studio Senior Member Dawn of War Senior Member  #851
    @Ra OwA
the match making system is sort of complicated
    http://forum.worldoftanks.com/index....ost__p__553302

It's a bit technical, but anyways.....
For any tank of a tier, there is only a certain bracket of battles it can go into.
for example, a tier 1 tank that's starting out can be put into a battle against only tier 1s or into a battle consisting of tier 1-2 tanks

  2. #852
I am not sure if it's just my luck but most guns people whine about work great for me for some reason, the short 88 is a veritable bringer of death on my 3601, and then i have the 122 on KV-3 which i now use to snipe tanks from 400 meters away, and i hit, too oftenly
    *puppies*

  3. #853
I sort of love and hate the slugger the damn thing is slow but it do pack a punch and pershing a bit slow than T23 but atleast the second 90mm is decent.

  4. The Studio Senior Member Dawn of War Senior Member  #854
Actually, I'm willing to say that the pershing is now the best tier 8 medium out there
It's capable of bounces and the long 90mm is devastating compared to the 100mm
the chassis of the tanks are very much on par, with the pershing being larger and taller
but the better DPS and better declination is really causing me a lot of pain

Hmph. The T40 and the T18 are actually pretty beast TDs for their tier. The are so typically American, armour made of wet cardboard, above average mobility, guns that go DAKAKAKAKAKA. The only change is that they lose out on gun depression and instead get horizontal amazing sauce. Well, the T40 does anyway, the T18 not so much but you shouldn't really need it in the battles you get put in.

TLDR: T40? More like Marader II^2.

    So... got myself a locust.

I do like how it zooms but I find it's turning is a little naff, which is odd because it turns like a Leo.

Also, either people can't aim down in the lower levels or being half the size of a Stuart is quite beneficial.

Hi European dolts. Did you know? Us US dolts get 4 days of 5x exp for Canada day.

Love, an Afoxi who insisted you should have joined the US server instead.

Russian server gets 1-4 July 5x xp first win for Kursk battle day.

  10. #860
We all got the 5x stuff and some other crap, but i don't like how i do absolutely shite in those first matches and it's like i don't even get the bonus how badly i do, then afterwards i do amazingly well and get no bonus because it was spent on the crap matches in the morning -.-'

  11. #861
My slugger keeping get bad team and if i win a match if i do absolute crap but oddly my pershing have much better luck win 10 win streak

PS: Do everyone on US server have lag ?, because i don't have those until the last 2 weeks =.=

Stupid Yobs, sapping my internet. I missed out a day of 5x exp.

Edit: Ok. So after having a 9 battle lose streak with my T43 (Stupid teams? Check. Match maker taking the piss (T-43 != T29 or Platooned Tigers)? Check.) I've decided that either my T-43 is cursed or the 100mm is a horrible gun that misses every opportunity it gets.

Also, I had a battle in my KV-13 where I was shooting up a T-54. According to him, every shot killed crew or hit a module, and honestly of all the Tier 9 tanks I encounter, the T-54 is the one I fear the least. I see a Panther II? I shit myself. T-54? Woo, lots of exp and credits this battle! Weren't they supposed to be scary and OP?

Hmm, if you go to the WoT forums and browse about, you'll see that the World of Russian Tanks mindset is alive and strong there
Actually, the WoT forums are full of people who don't understand the weaknesses of other tanks or the potential of theirs.
there are seriously T29 UP whine threads and people that think accuracy values don't matter
So my overall feeling is that all the threads there are started by dumbasses on there.

Busby, the 100mm is a solid gun and well worth using.
Now, both the 85mm and the 100mm have an aimtime of 2.5 seconds.
that's one of the longest of all direct fire weapons in the game
But what you are really noticing is the loss of accuracy
The 100mm is .37 while the 85mm is only .32.
So you are not imagining the dozens of misses you're getting
But if you want to be competitive against heavies, the 100mm is your go to weapon

I've gotten used to the 100mm by playing through the t-34-85
so the 85mm on the KV-13 felt anemic (but anti-medium competitive) when i got it

Also, has anyone noticed any unlisted beta changes?
for example: T29 ears are made of bounciness now
and the IS-4 seems a bit squishier

The T29's ears have always been made of bounciness, between their small size and decent armour they have always been a cunning trap designed to make you waste shells.

  16. The Studio Senior Member Dawn of War Senior Member  #866
i would have to disagree with you there
the ears were always a good target for me and pretty much everyone else on mumble
many times i have won face hugs against t29s by shooting at the ears
and when i'm in my t29, if i get penetrated on the turret, the shell mark is right on the ear

Mirror the enemies gun movements at face hug range, so long as the ears have some angle to them they'll happily bounce a russian 122. Mirroring the enemies gun is probably a good habit to get into, the T32 can block EVERYTHING by doing it, and the T34 and up it's the only way their ever going to bounce anything.

Those who thought the M10 Wolverine turret rotated too fast in CoH will love it in WoT. Its speed with the first engine upgrade doesn't seem that great either. At least it has the M1A2 76mm.

Edit: Second engine makes it go a little bit faster, but its still rather slow.

I'd go with the 105mm and troll everything with the wolverine to be honest, to be successful what I've found with the M1A2 consists of getting multiple shots into the enemy, which generally means everything gets a bead on you an with paper thin armour + health might aswell score abit of damage and potential critical hits with the 105mm instead.

On the other hand, the M1A2 is pretty good in the Slugger.

    So, 6.6 and E-Series.

If the German Entwicklung tanks do not get equipment/consumable unique to them, I will be extremely mad.

What I am looking for is a Supercharger/Nitro/Turbo type item.

    EDIT: It's for historical accuracy.

    I just got my panther
    I think it's a really solid tank
a bit squishy and vulnerable to module damage
but if the panther has a strong aggressive team in front of it
    it kicks ass.
i'm really liking the long 88.
i might not be getting a lot of victories in it,
but i'm getting a lot of EXP
700xp on a loss? tell me this isn't true!

  22. #872
Afoxi they will get that it seems, but because of that they won't have their full HP or something, so if you want your tanks full engine power you have to buy a consumable that will probably have some other adverse effects on the tank, unlike russian tanks which get the extra HP for no real reason i think, but whatever, the E-75 is still one of the sexiest looking tanks in the game and i'll be damned if i don't get it

Remove engine governor, but for ze Germans? Meh.

Actually, yea, I bought the 105 and performance wise it is as about as accurate, shoots pretty dam fast, aims just as quickly, and seems to do smiler DPS. I was actually surprised on just how accurate it is though, I'm to used to the Russian Howitzers and their massive aim time and terrible accuracy.

The game is still on my mind sometimes, but with the tooth problem and not being able to talk so much on the mic kind of kills me a bit. I'll still be playing it though. I also want to spread my brain a bit. Been playing some Fire and sword a bit. Long live Britannia! hehe.

  28. #878
I usually do my daily double xp run in the morning and then a few random matches during the day, play with my clan in the evening if we get enough people together. All in all i'm taking it easy right now, waiting for those new slots so i can get some new tanks while i slowly grind my way to the sexy T8 beasties

  29. The Studio Senior Member Dawn of War Senior Member  #879
I currently have summer classes, so that's eating away at my time to play the game.
I have enough time to do doubles on my 19 tanks and maybe a few off matches with a contact
But there are still a lot of tanks that I want to try out or purchase.
I like my panther enough that I want the panther II next.

What currently has me strapped is cash.
I could grind up the money fairly quickly in the lowe, but I actually don't like that tank. I
t's an uninspiring tank with pretty boring gameplay options
I'd rather zip around in a medium or face hug other tanks with my USA heavies.
shame those hardly make as much cash

Fun fact. I have a 63% win rate on my KV-13. My T-43 have a 63% loss rate. The bloody thing is cursed to get stuck with crappy teams and horrible match ups, I swear.

Got my Jagdtiger tuesday (monday night actually - me and a friend hardcored till 6am =_=), and this thing is a beast, even with the L/55. I'm like 12k away from the L/61 and I can't wait to give some payback to VK4502(P) Ausf B's, as I just keep having bad luck against them (bounce even lower hull)

  32. The Studio Senior Member Dawn of War Senior Member  #882
well, the KV-13 is superior. obviously
I enjoy it a lot more than my T-43.
(i do have a better win rate in my KV-13 also. Though not as drastic as yours)

  33. #883
I got my JagdPanther today, given it's as stock as they get seeing that i am always short on cash (for some reason, whenever i sell a tank to go one tier up i have the exact amount of money needed for that tank and nothing else). It's not as bad as a stock Tiger tho, and it won't be long before i get the long 88 for it too

Today I one-shotted a 97% T54 in my S-51 (not on Celestial but on _AbcQ) in TD mode... Was pretty OP and hilarious at the same time.

I one shotted a T54 in my American T34 earlier, then the very next shot missed my target and killed an invisible Pershing.

Naturally I was quite chuffed, untill their arty found me.

Heh I just always smile when instakilling something, no matter what it is. By the way, my elited Jagdtiger is so frekkin' awesome. L/61 may not do as much damage as the BL10, but it's RoF of 6 and accuracy really make up for that!

And of course my very next game is smiled upon by the balance gods and I get a game with 6 artillery, per side, and my fat heavy with no camo skill gets one shot by a bus having barely left spawn.

I just imagined how awesomely brutal my vengeance would be when the French and their tier 7 light finally get here, and walked away with a smile.

Heh, yea being one-shotted by artillery is annoying, but being a good artillery is harder than it looks.

Running into cash problems ATM, i have two tanks hitting T7, a T7 tank i need to upgrade and another T6 i need to buy and upgrade, for all of this i estimate some 3 million credits are needed, right now i have some 200k

  40. The Studio Senior Member Dawn of War Senior Member  #890
Yeah, i'm hitting the credit bottleneck right now too
Though with premium, i hit it much later down the road

Should've spend 30 euro on a Löwe, because that solves all your problems and you won't need premium then. I got both though, and I make serious money with my Jagdtiger (30k-50k each game).

If you don't want to spend money, use vehicles like the KV, VK3601H, StuG III or any tier V-VI to make money.

  42. The Studio Senior Member Dawn of War Senior Member  #892
oh, i have a lowe. I simply detest playing it though.
The gun is great, but i think it sacrifices too much mobility.
I have almost 0 fun playing that tank

  43. #893
I had no money problems while i actually had those tanks, but my space limitations prevent me from having them right now, so i have to rely on my Pz4 and E8 for farming credits and the occasional good match in my T7 tanks.Still waiting for that damn KV, KV-3 split that will give me enough room for all my tank needs but i feel it's a long way down the road.

So my premium has run out, and I've decided to buy a one of the premium French tanks too. So, do you guys own the S35 or the B2? Which one is better for a medium driver?

  46. The Studio Senior Member Dawn of War Senior Member  #896
yeah, the ISU without the BL-10 is a sad beast. Though not as bad as a stock ferdi
My win rate without the BL-10 was about 40%.
once I got that, it went to 48%
then i got gun laying drive -> 52% and rising

My money issues stem from this
I want to get both Russian tier 10s after I buy the panther II. That's 12.5 million credits worth of grinding
(i'm not selling shit, well maybe my T-43 but that hardly gives me any money)

IS-4, simply because I can and it's on the way
and the IS-7 because I like playing medium tanks and this is the most medium of all the tier 10s so far
I'm not holding my breath for the T110

Hate to burst your bubble but the IS-7 isn't exactly that zippy.

My T34 heavy only does 32~kmph and unless the IS-7 gets a clear run I'll keep up with it just fine. High top speed, just doesn't have the engine to get there.

I have two of those tanks, not sure if it would be possible to sell them for their usual sell price and then buy them for half price making a small profit in the process, repeating it as many times as i can
