They've given Hellcat and T25/2 the ability to turn on the spot back. Second wave of 0.7.2 testing will be till 21 of March.

Oh well, don't care much for that since I got my IS-4 the other day

Still quite rough to play with only the BL-9 on it and usually looses me money but it's about a bajillion times more fun and useful than my T34 which lacks only the gun and engine.
And the mantis shrimp said "Let there be light!"

    And there was death.

They did increase the size of several models, like the King Tiger in 7.2. However the size reduction of the IS4 and the IS7 is pretty insane and makes especially the IS4 even more OP.

I'm fine with tanks being the size they historically are. What bothers me is how sudden and completely uncalled for these changes are. Why now, why weren't they their real size from the start, is this because of the russian switch coming in 7.3?

Because if so they can change their size then and there, or are they afraid that the new US heavies will outpreform the russkies in some way so they are preemptively buffing them, it's just so random and out of the blue it's like they throw darts to decide which tanks to buff without any reasoning behind it whatsoever.

Well IS-4 will get it's nerf in 7.3 with the upgrade to Tier 10. If they feel especially cruel (unlikely) it will get downgraded to a fast firing 122mm with better than usual penetration.

IS-7 is still insane though. It pushes 300mm in some front areas.

That's the thing tho, why buff it now, it's like saying KV-3 will be moving to tier 7 in a few months, let's just buff it now so we don't have to later :/

Well, French tanks got hit by the nerfbat pretty badly. Good that my 13-90 is now top configuration.

Its already here for us. New T34 is quite nice for farming. Did not have too much time to check M103 out and no slot for Hellcat yet.

So I'm looking at these new crew skills and they sound great on paper, but how much of an impact do they actually have? Repair is such a vital skill, its hard to justify losing it unless the other skills are very, very good.

So how's the T28 Prototype handling?

The tank looks very nice (as opposed to the cocentrated ugly the T28 is) and I'm thinking with the silly armor it should play like a heavy of sorts.

The patch is still downloading, some four hours now and it's up to 10% :/

That's why you make repair the first skill, then forget firefighting and camo(unless you have a TD) and go with the position specific skill.

Having massive bad luck with it. Shots that should penetrate don't, and being oneshotted by arty gets old.

Ok, having played more, the M8A1, M18, and T30 are amazing.

M103 isn't as bad as people make it out to be - though i suspect being sneaky/unpredictable is helping my case.
Also christ if the T110 plays anything like the M46/M47, i need put the T-54 grind on hold to get one.

M103 and T110E5 are amazing. I already played them and several other new stuff on the testservers but they are just awesome. The T34 is a beast on tier 8 to be honest, it pens the IS-3, KT and T32 in the upper hull with quite ease, just like it did before, and because of the huge damage per shot you make a lot of money with it.

I also quite like the T30 as tier IX TD, but haven't tested the other new TD's yet except for the Hellcat which I think is a failure.

Having watched a T110E5 in a tier 10 battle, yea, its an insane tank. Its like a tier 10 KV-13 but with an amazing gun. I want one.

    Patch finally downloaded.

The interface is nice, the map icons are a bit too big now, but nothing extremely annoying. Had one CTD so far :S

Played a few games in both the T34 and the M103. Not sure why but they both feel clumsy, the T34 not that much but it's still kinda wierd for some reason :S

The M103 while being just fine is way to awkward, I really have no idea how to put this but the tank feels off somehow :S

I think M103 look awkward because of it's big turret. M103 and T110 have quickly become my most favorite tank as feel like playing medium tank and armor is not bad either and T30 just fit nicely as TD and certainly not super slow as T95.

Also some good match to show

They economy changes are visible. I've got 52k creds in M5 Stuart for the battle. Which is tier 4 light tank. My personal record was 82k in tier 8 heavy tank T32.

Looking forward to the T-62, T-64, T-72, and T-90 myself. Now the Americans just need the Sheridan and Starship for derp gun ATGM goodness and we are set.

They should have retained the ratte, but made it impossibly expensive and incredibly impractical. Reload time is a minute and a half, there is no down-elevation on the guns, and it can't move down most city streets.

Because if you want the big tank, you WILL suffer the consequences.

    BIG

You have one shot at guessing the outcome of that battle :I

Also really shit that the 103 can't hide behind that hill, you know, not go hulldown or anythin, just go into the small depression so it can't be seen or shot at. It's just too big for that

And yeah, it's quite ok most of the time, against lower tier tanks especially, same and higher tiers just eat it easily most of the time if you get even remotely close.

    Got the Jagdtiger!!!!

Did sell the 103 for it, but the bastard deserved it, the kitty is great out of the box and I can see a bright and explosive future ahead of it. Unlike that damnable Maus sized, French armored "heavy hybrid" which quickly became plainly annoying :I

I'm only waiting for T-10 (IS-8) - this is a historical and en-masse produced vehicle. Russian KV series are starting to look like the attack of the clones, which I dislike.

That resort looking Black Sea map is actually modeled from Crimea, where Stalin, Churchill and Roosevelt met. Also there was some heavy fighting with Germans in this region, so it is quite fitting.

Guys, do you hate maps, that luck sunlight? There is a map, called Fjords on Russian server (military ship in the bay) which has lotsa trees and houses and is at dusk, so it makes everything hard to see. I only like maps in the direct sunlight, guess Big World sucks for making evening/morning/cloudy conditions. All of my friends just laugh and tell me to turn the brightness on.

I got my best kill of all time. I see an M7 going full speed, he plans to pass me. Of course I being in my T59 feel that's rude. I start lining up a shot to track him, out of no where a shot flies by from behind the church, tags his tracks. He comes skidding to a halt, but then for the last inch of the skid pumps my tank. He explodes, I'm credited the kill and took no damage. I sat there for a second to understand what just happened and then laughed my ass off. He was laughing as well, still such an odd kill. ^^

    Nice! Do want!

Man the 13-90 is a dream come true. Take the 1375, give it more punch and poof you have a scout who can leave some holes in any tank it bumps into. I have to say in all honesty that the 13-90 is THE best scout in the game. Speed plus can do damage? Yes please!

The irony of it is that tier 10 IS-4 will start with D25 gun, before it can unlock M62 gun. It is totally unplayable at tier 10. You should either spend free xp on it or unlock this gun on IS-8 beforehand.

I hate D25 of all soviet guns the most. Even on IS it sucks.

So just figured something out. Accelerated Crew Training is now semi-broken. I just wanted to figure out how much the crew gets for the skill right? Well wrote down each crew for my T59, did a game. Found that only one crew men gets any kind of bonus and it's very small. All crew get the Experience received and the one crew men who has a ^ next to his percentage gets the bonus once. So if you have for example four crewmen only one at a time will get the bonus and it's pretty small. The amount I got for 400 experience battle was 125 extra for that ONE crewmen. Lame=\

I really don't know if I love or hate my T-44. For every battle I do well with it, I get a battle where I'm ammo racked or nuked by a tier 10 in the first engagement. Every one and there mother knows where to shoot it, and its kind of hard to play a medium when you have to keep your entire right hand side protected at all times or suffer instant death. I'm constantly losing credits on the dam thing... Yet it has potential. The 2nd 100mm is really good and its fast and manoeuvrable even with the stock engine, but ugh, can it be frustrating some times. It doesn't help that the match maker hates me for some reason and I never get into tier 8 max battles with it. :/

Busby a T44 is not a brawler. You should not be facing 10s. You are meant to get behind a 10 while it's fighting your 10 counter part and causing him to choose to turn to target you Or keep fighting the 10.

Tier 10 might of been an exaggeration, I don't expect to be taking on a Maus or IS-7, I'm not stupid. Its more that I find I'm the #1 priority target at all times and even VK3601s can penetrate my front armour and cause module damage. Maybe the KV-13 has taught me bad habits or something but I'm used to being able to actually survive a hit or three before exploding. I suppose being a cowered like everyone else is an option, but meh.

T-44 is kinda a Ferrari of tier 8 mediums. Frontal armor is so-so but it can help against tier 7 and occasional tier 8. Also you should always show enemy a small part of your left side. I never noticed the infamous ammo rack explosion on it, though I remember I oneshotted one recently. I've got the loader with an ammo rack skill, did not install the module.

You can scout and anti-scout at first, though it sight range falls short of Pershing, its speed and agility makes up for it. In the second part of the game you can exploit breaches in enemy lines and flank or go for arty, or just fall back to where help is needed. It is a very beautiful tank.
