Nice game there!

So I'm thinking that maybe I have too many tanks.

I only keep the current tank in the tree I'm progressing and I never buy end of the line tank cause its boring to play without progressing to the next vehicle. I have all the trees save for German tanks, arties and light tanks (have Chaffee though). Now its time to play on tier 9 MTs and TDs since they are not end of the line anymore.
What do you guys do about loss streaks? You can play for 100 battles, have nice stat and than a loss streak ruins it.
#1606
As long as I get 750exp+ on defeat I am meeting quota.
Ergo, not a big deal, since I meet quota often.
If my team is made of stupid, or more frequently I feel selfish I hang a lil back to get as many hits in. When it goes tits up you know where the main guys are, already have a few hits and good positioning to get eve more damage out before getting swamped.
Knife King of Doltland
I'm not surprised. Anything within three feet of you seems to end up full of knife shaped holes.
My god afoxi I have never seen so many tanks.
It's Warhammer. Fuck common sense, the universe is built on awesome. Headshotting aliens from long range with a pistol is fucking badass hence its presence in the game.

Is that last thing the new Patton?
Because while it looks incredibly busy and wierd it also looks incredibly awesome![]()
*puppies*
Last thing is new premium MT - Super Pershing. You can download a remodel to make all common Pershings look like this one.
I thought that was the M-48A1 patton the slightly upgraded version of the M46 patton we got now. Super pershing? So they made it up or was it blue print.
No qaurter back men, only forward or we will hold this line forever!!!

Row Row Row Fight the Powha
The Super Pershing was real. It was an intended upgrade for the production M26, the T26E3. The revised gun edition was the T26E4. Two were converted from the earlier prototypes, one of which was sent to Europe to testing in combat, and was given some extra slabs of armour. 1000 more were ordered, only 25 were built before the order was cancelled.
Looks like a normal Pershing with some extra armor on the front and a twin linked lascannon on top of the turret, positively awesome.
Actually that is a further modified Super Pershing with a Panther's gun mantle put on it.

British Centurion is one the best tanks ever created, it's been in combat more than any other tank. Glad its in this game now
#1618
Note: ETA for British tanks is "This Year".
EDIT: That means "Next year".
Next year sounds about right.
They once said that the new German tank destroyer line would be added around patch 7.0, and still no sign of them. I also find it incredibly strange that they have not added the Soviet T-60 or T-70, since those two light tanks were the most common light tank during 1942 and 1943. Instead we have the T-26, and a ton of prototypes that never saw mass production.
I'd happily drive one of these as a Tier 2 or 3, wouldn't you?

They went ahead and decided to put in Tier X Mediums and TDs before the second TD line. Also they've also decided they have enough material for FOUR goddamned German TD lines.
They have two planned out already, the third one could be that derpy assault gun line that one guy on the EU forums proposed (ends with a Bear, some monstrosity which seems to be an uparmored upgunned horizontal firing version of the GW Typ E).
But a fourth one? I really have no idea what that could be :S
#1622
My mistake on the Bear, it's based on the Tiger chassis not the E-Type.
Here's the thread, some interesting ideas: http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.p...erman-td-line/
#1624
Sturmpanzer IV "Brummbär" and the StuIG33 are likely candidates for that third TD line. Both pack a 150mm low-velocity gun and both were fielded. Probably some prototypes that can be tossed in to, but none come to mind. They have two planned out already, the third one could be that derpy assault gun line that one guy on the EU forums proposed (ends with a Bear, some monstrosity which seems to be an uparmored upgunned horizontal firing version of the GW Typ E).

The 8.8 jagtiger is supposedly a good credit earner, it'll struggle if dumped into tier 9 and 10 battles which it can do, but when its in its own tier, tier 8, its near on invincible if you get a good position, there is barely anything to dent its armour, since its got jagtiger armour at tier 8. The 8.8 also fires in rapid succession and is relatively cheap to fire, so its probably as good or better than a lowe for monehz.
The IS6 looks meh whichever way you look at it, I've not seen one preform well in the last week, they are easy to kill, big as a kv-3 and get placed in higher tier battles which makes it worse for them, wouldn't throw money at that one.
T-25 dunno, I've seen em about, they seem to do fairly well at times then bad the next, I would say its better than the other medium gold tanks though so a option if one is wanting one of those, though tbh if one is going for a gold tank I'd still say lowe is one of the few decent ones, I've had one since before the price change, near on full max skills and it does fairly well, I haven't seen many matches with below 800xp and 40k credits on it either.
Was the sun a metaphor for boobs? wait wait before i get ahead of my self, did that arty shell curve O_o i mean curve like a missile?
So I sold my IS-4 and bought the M103 again, not sure why, but despite it's faults it's still more fun than the IS-4 :S
Also you guys drive/encounter the Foch?
I've had the displeasure of fighting one today, sure it's armor isn't all that great considering that giant weakspot on top of it, and sure the 400 damage isn't too great, but guys, it fires over 7 times a minute, that's a little over six seconds between shots, and with that penetration and accuracy, anything that gets caught in the open is pretty much dead if it doesn't find cover, worse yet, because the gun doesn't do that much damage there usually won't be that OSHITOHSITOHSHIT!!! moment when you get hit by a BL-10 slug, this is more akin to getting shot by a Panther, at first you might shrug it off, then half a minute passes and you realize you are full of holes and nearly dead.
I can't help but think that an autoloader would only damage this thing, you would trade off 3 seconds of reload time for over a minute of downtime every four shots, and that is quite sucky in my opinion since I considered in getting one of these, high RoF guns have always been attractive for me, now I'm not so sure about the whole thing with the T10 change and all that :I

Ladies and gentlemen:
http://wiki.worldoftanks.com/Germany
At any rate there are more interesting additions to the French and Russian trees too.
I'm interested to see how the line from the VK3002DB plays, similar with a focus on mobility?
In other news, preliminary patch notes for 0.7.5 have been posted on the WoT forums. In amongst them are some nerfs to Russian tanks that apparently relate to a decrease in battle tier spread for the match-maker. There seems to be much rejoicing.
#1633
The best of the patch notes is that they rebalanced those russian tanks that had OP guns (Ie, the removal of the 107mm on the SU85, 100mm from T34-85 and so on). However they also removed the 100mm from the T43, which I find a bit weird, the same goes for that they keep the 122mm on the SU100..
Bye-bye SU-85, my favorite TD ever. So lower tier Russians are new Germans now?
Su85 without the 107? It's going to be shit.
#1636
Not really, it will be what it always should have been from the start: a russian StuG. And with the 85mm D5s 85BM on it, it will still be a beast. Combined with a lowered tier spread (+1/-1) everything is going to be awesome! WoT has new hope!
It lags behind StuG for mobility, also it is quite blind. It has larger profile and less armor. Pretty useless in higher tier matches now.
About time I'd say, yes it won't be the same tank anymore, but it's just like the old KV, it's just too good for it's tier when you consider it against other choices. The T-34-85 decision is sound, that gun was a bit too much for a T6 medium, especially when you realize that the other trees don't really get that kind of gun untill t7-8. T-43 change is silly tho, the tank was slightly bad with it, not sure how it will fare now.
Also, the SU-100 and the 122mm is quite ok, the gun is good but nothing amazing really, the 100mm is much much better, better accuracy and RoF, something that I'd take over some extra burst damage any day.

I'm so far past the su85 I don't even remember it's gun options. Just seems odd, Russian TDs are meant to iihave stupid guns.
Also just got a premium jagdtiger and the is-6. Fully crewed and covered in gold I played a battle each and I already love them. The 88 was viable on my KT let alone the oak version this mounts. The deluge of 88 apcr shells is glorious. Throw in good hp pool and super hull down for one awesome tank.
Is6 just seems solid. Like a middle player bbetween the is3 and is. Love it's aesthetics too.
Well the D10T is a crap gun that you only use because the 85 lacks the penetration for such slow, unarmoured tanks. Not that I have bothered playing in ages, but if I ever do hopefully the 85mm will be made worthwhile on that tank. Otherwise yuck. The T-43 is bad enough with the D10T, I'd sell the dam thing if the 85 doesn't get a nice buff.
D10T is (was) a good gun for a sluggish meds like T-34-85 and T-43. Good pen and alpha for a bad mobility. 85mm is good on a very mobile tank like KV-13. Lotsa people drove T-44 with 85mm prior to LB10.
I had much better stat on T-43 than on any other T7 med lol.
So the 7.5 test is coming soon, and the notes mention some interesting stuff, like general buffs to the IS-4 line of heavies, as well as buffs to the German T10's
Also, more interestingly, there is no mention of T9 TD nerfs (except for the French ones, but that's more of a general line nerf), also nerfs to T2-T3 TD's ( I just hope the Marder doesn't get raped by the nerfs, the little devil has grown on me quite a bit).

So yeah, these new tier 10 meds and TDs made tier 10 heavies become obsolete. In my eyes they are completely OP and breaking the game once more if they aren't nerfed or changed.
For example, the JPzE100 deals 1100 avg damage with 299 penetration. The Obj 268 has 850 avg with 303 penetration and I can continue that way. Even all the meds have over 260 penetration, making any armor completely worthless. Besides this, tanks like the M48A1 Patton III outperform their nations tier 10 heavy in all ways except armor. For example this M48, it has everything better except the frontal armor and has 200 health less. This is just bullshit.
At the moment it is, when talking about the tier 10s: TD > Med > Heavy. This means, that TDs eat all and meds eat heavies. While it actually should be TD > Heavy > Med > TD in a circle, so that each class counters another, but having nothing at the absolute top.
These new high penetration guns are completely ruining the whole gameplay and I cannot even believe the nerfed the E100 gun. All other changes are completely awesome however, especially the gun rebalance on the Russian tanks and the new Matchmaker. I am not so sure about the 144mm pen on the T43 though, seems like it would make it rather underpowered compared to the other tier 7 meds, but I have yet to test it.
I think it's time for me to say goodbye to the high tiers, as everything just seems to die in seconds with these extreme gun damage, penetration and DPM values. I hope tier 8 will still get good matchmaking, because I'll be sticking to that along with tier 7..
I've recently been playing the SU-85 with the 85mm, and it's not bad... but it's not great either. The bonus damage over the StuG's 7.5cm StuK42 is not really noticeable, but the reduced accuracy and longer loading time is.
And the plus side, the 122mm would finally have a reason to exist. It only did slightly more damage than the 107mm, at the cost of accuracy, aim time, velocity, and reload speed, making it pointless when you had the 107mm.
T-34/85 without the 100mm gun? They do realize it has virtually no hull armour compared to other Tier 6 mediums? Unless I find a hull down position, I'm screwed. Without a firepower advantage to compensate I don't see much point in keeping it.
They could easily justify a Marder nerf, specifically to the 7.62cm PaK36r. They took the german testing data for that gun, but applied the soviet testing criteria to it, which vastly inflated its performance. So the Germans tested it and found it penetrated 98mm of armour (30 degree slope from vertical) at 100m range, and the 7.5cm PaK40 penetrated 106mm in the same case. So the PaK40 is better than the PaK36r, and numerous documents attest to that. Wargaming.net then makes the mistake of applying the soviet criteria to it, since it was a captured Russian gun modified and rechambered for German ammunition, and now it does better in WoT than the German gun that eventually replaced it (the PaK36r was just a stop-gap measure until PaK40 production was up to speed).Originally Posted by Jopax
So they could easily nerf the PaK36r to be a cheaper and weaker PaK40, leaving the PaK40 as the top tier gun on the Marder. Marder would still be good, but no longer the bane of KV-1 and Churchill players like it is now.

I've heard one of its other guns, the 85mm I think, is getting buffed and its getting a new engine. Combine that with tighter matchmaking and it may make up for it somewhat. Then again, I haven't played it so I what do I know.T-34/85 without the 100mm gun? They do realize it has virtually no hull armour compared to other Tier 6 mediums? Really, the MM changes are what I'm looking forward to the most. It's basically an indirect buff to all the tanks it affects; if I understand it correctly it means tier 5 tanks like the Sherman and T-34 only have to face tier 7 tanks at worst, and tier 6 only have to face tier 8 and so on. Not having to be cannon fodder every few matches will be nice.
New engine and gun for T-34-85 means a total change of a gameplay on that tank.
Once more I have gotten the long05 on my Kt and am already doing infinitely better.
Now it is time to start stacking crew skills, how exciting. It's nice to have your favourite tank back and maxed out.
Throw in jt88, is6 and Isu and I for once am having a blast with WoT again.
Next stop - object and e75. Woop.
The new td object looks spectacular, I may go for that. Not that enthralled with the e100 it doesn't seem so good, or at least I've never seen a good one.
